With midsummer festivals in full swing the settlements of Amia begin to prepare for the grand finale of Flamerule, the day that arrives every four years, Shieldmeet. Various faiths begin to prepare celebrations to honour their gods, bards begin to prepare poetry readings, and the peasants simply pray for good weather, cheap booze and (for the men) loose women.

//I'm cooking up a few ideas for this month, but if you have any that require DM assistance punt them my way!

The citadel of Barak Runedar has been a buzz with activity of industrious dwarves spoiling for a celebration. The citadel has been mucked out, scrubbed down, and shined up in hopes of showing their Revered Mother the glory and honor she rightly deserves. Shieldmeet has added a bit extra fervor into the mood with an additional ceremony planned. Thick limbs and beards hustle about readying the place for a fine affair.

Foehammer's Festival!

Citizens of Amia, the mighty Foehammer has decided in his infinite wisdom to discern who is the greatest warrior upon the continent. He has granted you the opportunity to recieve his direct blessing through a trial of arms, should you be worthy you will be blessed. There will be twelve prelimary rounds held in each participating city (to be confirmed) to attain your place in the final competition - to be held in the Skull Crag Monastry upon Shieldmeet. Furthermore, there will be two other competitions to determine who will be the next warrior worthy of the Foehammer's notice - scaled by experience.

The settlements that produce the champion will also recieve a gift from the Foehammer, and a favour from the clergy, all are encouraged to join the grand festival in honour of the Foehammer, attend one of the prelimaries to win your chance of success now!

Pinned beneath the notice would be a list of confirmed settlements taking part:

Cordor
Endir's Point
The area of Benwick (Cliffside, Kampo's, Salandran and tentatively the Shrine of Eilistrae - should they accept.)
Wharftown
Howness
Kohligen
Wiltun.

The leaders of:
Winya Ravana
Bendir Dale
Barak Runedar

Recieve the following missive:

Council of [city],

I am writing to request your participation in the Foehammer's Festival, my lord has tasked me with the honour of finding the strongest, most competent warrior of Faerun. To this end I request that you send three champions of varying experience to fight for the glory of your people, should you wish to speak more on this I will gladly attend or send a representative in my stead.

- Sword Master Jandrick.

Conjuring of the Second Moon!

Citizens and friends of Wharftown are encouraged to attend the Selunite festival - Conjuring of the Second Moon - we shall be embarking on a hunt for a particularly dangerous malarite werewolf pack that has been attacking travellers along the roads of Wharftown. The three warriors that shows the most compassion, honour, and skill will be invited to represent Wharftown in the coming festival.

//This will hopefully take place tonight, midnight BST.

The night sky is briefly illuminated by seven, and then later on eight, gloriously bright stars that circle the Moon twice before stopping. Somewhere, deep within a cave, a werewolf growls in pain!

Warlord,

You are welcome to hold such a competition on behalf of our town - however - we want our champion to be of Amian blood, preferably human or half-elf.

A black haired Tuigan guard makes her way back into Cordor from the Crags, a faint smile curling her lips under her helm. Rueful, because she wished she could have proven herself better than one battle.

Quote:
The Howl of Howness!

To those warriors wishing to represent Howness (for whatever reason), I have a task that needs to be completed. The warriors that attend, and contribute the most will be picked to represent the town. That is all.

The Triadic Knights submit the participants for Kohlingen, though the third tier seems to have an unresolved Champion.

1st Tier - Squire Veritas (ecl 17)
2nd Tier -
3rd Tier - Lord Yaston Sylgarand, Sir Jerand Whiterose, Lady Serina Fynolds, Squire Artorius Godstrike

There is an attached note:
Our 3rd tier Champion will be resolved immediately. Our 2nd Tier is now disqualified of his own accord, he is beyond the level of ability set for that tier.
