I find myself pretty much unable to tell when night actually hits in bendir dale; the surrounding zones get dark at night, the dale stays about the same. other settlements are substantially darker at night.

think bendir could stand for a little more night darkness; make it match at least wharftown (if not darker) or other smaller areas in terms of night brightness.

Placing your cursor over the compass in the bottom-right corner of the UI will tell you the in-game time (also useful for judging daylight in interiors).

Bendir Dale has the Abyss skybox for me all the time, so I know your pain.

There's a couple areas with odd fog and lighting settings. The Skull Crags Lower Hills are spookily mega-red fog, as is the Ankh'remun City Ruins.

Ostland's fog is weird too, something about it seems wrong as your character moves along.
Caraigh has good fog, nice and thick.
