Would it be possible to revert female vampire forms (for the undead shape ability) to the old model? The one above is... questionable. I think. Her mouth is constantly open. I don't like that! I've heard a few others mention the same. Just little rumors. If this isn't something that's going to happen, could I request a personal reskin for it, at the cost of DCs?

This is something I brought up in the Dev Chat so we have it marked for fixing. It requires a hak change to make the default be the normal one again, but I think it can be changed for DCs (or maybe free, depends on the DM ruling).

Unfortunately, it actually overwrote the vanilla model and the vanilla one is no longer available.

Is it possible to change vampire form to your character's default appearance? Or will your character appear naked due to how shifters merge items? I can't remember how polymorph skinchanges work precisely: its been a while.

Considering that vampires often appear as a more exaggerated, feral looking monster of the humanoid they're based on, I figured this may be an alternative to your problem if such is possible. Even on an individual basis.

The new model works like an override of the old model, which was unintended. This change can be done for the community as a whole, if the "amia_v3d_top.hak" gets an update. You can also just upload a new version of the hak with that specific file removed, but not change the hak file name. Then players who download the updated version hak in the future will have the old model, and those who want to re-download it in order to revert back to the old vampire model can do so. Doing it this way, nobody would have to re-download the haks to play, if they are fine with the current one. It's a matter of five minutes of work.

Also, as it works like an override, you can fix it on the client side (player side) without a problem. You just have to be careful not to change anything else in the hak.

Step 1: Go to the "utility" folder in your NWN directory.

Step 2: Open the "nwnhak.exe"

Step 3: Go to "File" -> "Open" -> then select "amia_v3d_top.hak". That file can be found in your "hak" folder in the nwn directory, though it should automatically go to that directory for you.

Step 4: Remove the following file: "c_vampire_f"

Step 5: Save the file.

Alternative: You can just download the updated version and place it in your hak folder.

Your character would appear naked. All equipment gets stripped upon polymorphing and their stats merged into an invisible skin item. This is also why most item properties do not stack for shapeshifters.

It's not possible in general. The skinchanger only holds default skins. So you cannot customize a skin.
