A large animal, sirrush for those that know such things, trots out to the area near the sorcere. He follows a dainty figure in black and gold, her cloak flairing out behind her. The design on the cloak is unmistakably Lolth's and the dainty figure is unmistakably Ust'Ilharess Nizzre'tyne Tinnerai.

They pause looking back at the house, Nizzre'tyne writing in a book. Then proceed back toward the house with Nizzre'tyne taking notes or perhaps drawing. As the other house members come to enter or come out the exit she stops them for a brief conversation.

My original plan was to assist the previous Tinnerai faction leader who, for personal reasons, didn't feel like logging in and playing their character. Since only clerics of Lolth should be house (faction) leaders and there were none I stepped up. It just didn't seem right for Tinnerai to die out. I created a cleric and played her as a Lolthite drow as best as I knew how.

The faction leader changed their mind and came back for a bit. Then was off again. The inactivity of Tinnerai was noted by the DM team who decided to delete the Tinnerai forum.

I made a power grab ICly and OOCly was asked by other players to take on faction leader of Tinnerai. Since then I must have been doing something right because 18 different players expressed interest in joining Tinnerai - to my delight.

We've cleaned up the Temple, made and dedicated an idol of Lolth for the Temple, set up training guidelines for priestesses, bought slaves from PC slavers, met with other factions in secret meetings, had special sacrifices, even got nabbed in a mini event by a DM looking to teach some other players a lesson and had a blast! Best of all we really rock with our RP.

I keep getting reminded that drow players have a bad reputation. I’ve done my best to see that I am not one of ‘those’ players. That Tinnerai was not full of “typical drow players” (this is not said in a nice way, btw). I put in our faction request per the instructions. I had all my ducks in a row and was told to just request the forum. I did that. Then I put a joke and sent a PM where a DM wanted to see a different response. You’ve probably all seen the request – now locked.

I was prepared to be the kind of faction leader that is listed in the rules and lore area. I don’t know if I’m prepared to be the kind of faction leader who steps in the middle of conflicts between players and DM’s or other players. I can facilitate fun for Tinnerai but being totally responsible for everything each Tinnerai faction member says is another thing entirely. I’m going to have to think it over for a bit.

In the meantime I’ve been warned not to submit any requests.

//well my comment on the thread was just to point out you were joking around with your answer in a lighthearted way and I left it at that. If I made it worse I'm sorry, I just thought there was an overreaction to your reply. I read the other stuff, too bad it ended up going the way it did. You've done a good job leading and promoting rp so don't let your hopes get down. Just have fun and rp your matron like you've been doing, I'm sure eventually everything will fall back into place.

Voices carry, bounce off cavern walls, maybe even echo. Clearly the Ust'Ilharess is not worried about being overheard as she speaks to the Ul'faeruk and Qu’el’saruk.

"My information says the sorcere was made with inferior materials we shall have to verify that. Until then, I want this mess cleaned up.” She waved her hand at the rubble and pile of materials just outside the unfinished wall and gate to the Tinnerai compound. “We have materials; we have gold to pay workers or pay for slaves to work. This wall needs to be higher…” she shows them each a drawing in her tome. “These towers need to be able to house an archer. So unless we’re planning on having Svirfneblin archers they need to be bigger.” She pauses for a moment then her tone turns amused. “I have another idea.” She adds to the drawing with a light laugh. “There now Ushui will be useful too.”

“And another thing, why in the name of the Great Goddess that gives us air to breathe are those commoners standing around outside the Sorcere? Their time cannot be all taken up with tending hair and skin decoration. Find out their skills and see about keeping them busy.”

There is a momentary pause as the sirrush growled low then she continued. “I have plans for inside too. And where in the hells are my reports from the rest of the house members? I am not planning out the entire thing you know…” Then the voices fade as they move around to the back of the building.
