Notices are posted around the settlements of L'Obsul and Underport by a certain drow clad in dark grey clothing. Written on these notices in Undercommon is the following: Obsidian Vanguard

Denizens of the Underdark!
Within L'Obsul lies great potential. Each and every one of us who have tasted the harsh existence in the caverns of the Underdark have been hardened and strengthened. This is our power, the likes of which the surfacers, spoiled by their soft living, could never comprehend. It is this power which gathers in L'Obsul... all it requires is direction.
The settlement of L'Obsul is managed jointly by the different races of the Underdark. Each race has their own part to play; where should one fail the others would suffer. This is a place where cooperation is a necessity!
But L'Obsul cannot be made great if we idle and languish, only working together when it is absolutely necessary. The Obsidian Vanguard is here to change that.
Sign up to the Obsidian Vanguard! We are here to protect and advance the interests of L'Obsul in whatever way we can, whether it is through the thrust of a spear or the swing of a pick, but in a way that reflects the unity that has allowed L'Obsul to exist thus far. Any race of the Underdark is welcome to join the Obsidian Vanguard, we are not here to further project the interests of a singular or a few races, but rather all the races that L'Obsul represents!
Contact Overseer Naltyrr or Warmaster Grimgor through the L'Obsul Tradehouse should you wish to lend your skills to the empowerment of L'Obsul and share in the eventual bounty of building it! It does not matter if you are a warrior, a merchant or a labourer, the Obsidian Vanguard will utilise every skill and every resource available.

New posters are placed up in similar locations, though these ones are covered in scruffy writing and ominous stains. Mighty duergar, gather to construct your own glorious future!
