Tagnik'zur, former Ust'Ilharess and Founder of Nec'perya stands on the docks, fury etched on her finely chiseled features. Ussen d'Vhid will be destroyed for this, she had given them one last chance to prove their worth while she was away and serving Lolth elsewhere; they had failed... again, horribly this time.. Nec'perya wore an obscene name, taken over by dragonbloods.. they had defiled the temple of the Spider Queen. While non-drow guards out in the city's streets were acceptable, non-drow in the temple was insufferable. She turned away, boarding the boat for L'Obsul, her fury and rage momentarily contained, her mind focused on her task; returning Nec'perya to its glory and to drow rule, it was given to the drow by the Spider Queen, and by all the Dark Seldarine, it would stay theirs. Having returned with her two youngest daughters, her eldest away in Menzoberranzan, she began work on the vision she and her former friend, if one could call a mutual vision and a life debt friendship, had shared for the city, a free trade port like Mantol-Derith and Skullport. Gaining a surface ally not intent n turning on them would be the tricky part, but she was confident she was up to the challenge. With a curt nod of her head and a plan forming, she went in search of her mate, and Vilrath's Ilharn, Zah'har and her third daughter, Jhaeliria to scheme. |

Evidently, it seems elements of House Vilrath have already had their own schemes begin to take pace, with the Matron's burst as the catalyst to set events in motion: Quote: "Naltyrr, of house Zau'tar, Matron D'Vilrath is now ready to act. Being the opportunist that you are, I trust that you will be in contact. Jhaeliria D'Vilrath, Third Daughter of House Vilrath." Quote: "Kerath, of no known house, You are difficult to track down. Fortunately, my web is vast. Matron D'Vilrath is now ready to act. Being the opportunist Naltyrr is, I trust that you will be in contact, if not just to spite the mage with a mouth. Jhaeliria D'Vilrath, Third Daughter of House Vilrath." Quote: "Oskar, the nominated delegate of Clan Bloodbeard, Matron D'Vilrath is now ready to act. The reconquista of the Underdark begins and your Clan will do well to join our rise. I trust you will be in contact. Jhaeliria D'Vilrath, Third Daughter of House Vilrath." Quote: "Oh Barrililath, my winged gift, I have a personal mercenary contract for thee: I require a clear avenue, a tendril so to speak, in order to set up future expeditions between below and the Frozenfar above. Clear the paths, the ogres especially. Exterminate all and keep the caverns clear. Keep what you find as an advanced payment of my good graces for your sword and your fury. Jhaeliria D'Vilrath, Third Daughter of House Vilrath" ... Meanwhile, in an unrelated manner, a simple letter is sent to Matron Tagnik'zur personally. It features the crude, amorphic picture of a jesterly mask, with one side cruelly smiling and the other pensive in deathly contemplation with two, glaring ice blue eyes forming the only humanoid element to its demeanour. Beneath its twisted image are two sentences written in courtly handwriting: Quote: "The board is set, and so the great game commences once more....
It is not the time to reveal the queen piece, so I shall continue to watch my wayward spider." |

Let it be known that Vagrathral has returned to the house, he is no longer exiled, he is to earn his place among the mages of the house. Things are going well for Vilrath and it's Ilharess is pleased, rumors abound of Vilrath's activities, but as usual, their Ilharess just lets people talk, neither confirming or denying anything. The list of publicly acknowledged members undergoes some changes over the following months, but Vilrath's presence is still felt; the house is not big, it never was, but even the smallest seeming spiders know which strands of a web to strike to cause ripples. |
