Thank you so much for joining the gathering. My apologies that it turned into such an unexpected event. It's hoped that those who departed before the merfolk arrived en masse, were able to reach home safely. For those who remained, thank you for wishing to safeguard the fishermen just inland from the island. Hopefully the captain was able to warn them.
It's hoped that the next gathering will be just as visited by good friends but such dire tidings however inciteful.
