The following notice might be seen on various notice boards, as well as passed by word of mouth, particularly in taverns.
Are you an archaeologist? Have you found strange and mysterious relics, and seek buyers for your prizes? Well, I am a buyer with interest in researching certain items.
In days of yore, towns, enclaves, cities - all have existed, and some fallen. Some to orcs and such, but others to more sinister works. Should you find evidence of demonic involvement, such as ritualistic demonic masks, or suspicious seeming scrolls, I urge you to part with them to me.
I seek to research such things, so as to help prevent such catastrophe from befalling any of us in these times. Bring me your relics, and I'll examine them, and purchase them for a fair price, should they be the type of thing I'm looking for.
I also seek quantities of unused blank paper.
Find me in person, around the land, or send me a message via Speedy's in Cordor, or leave a message in most bars or taverns elsewhere, and it ought to eventually reach me.
