On his way down through the kobold settlement in the Quagmire caves, Kurchin left the cleric of Kurtulmak a letter addressed to 'Keskinyadis Steelscale'. He asked him to give the letter to one of the Steelscale tribe, should they come by. The letter reads as follows, written in Draconic.

Dear Keskinyadis,

I have heard about your proficiency in the creation of ditherbombs, and a special crossbow that can fire them. I was hoping that I could purchase said crossbow and bombs, probably a Wyrm sized one. I will be willing to pay well to compensate for goods and services rendered.

Following a solemn, quiet hour of Searching for the Dragon after the gathered kobolds begin returning to their labors, one lingers behind to speak with Kurtulmak's priest. A message is left with the cleric to return to Kurchin when he next visits the Quagmire Cave.

You must know that the materials necessary for ditherbombs are currently in short supply and there will be a delay in fulfilling your request.

There has been varied success in the use of projectile ditherbombs and at this point it is still highly experimental and with a moderate to high risk of mishap for the wielder.

Kurchin made another trip down. When he paid the cleric of Kurtulmak a visit, he was almost jumping with joy at receiving a response. After calming himself down, he read through the letter, a few times to get all the information right. Damnit He thought, Nothing is ever easy.... After a brief sigh, he spent some time trying to come up with a new letter. Still, this is my best shot, I'll just have to be careful with what I say. He wrote another letter, and left it with the cleric again. The contents are as follows.

Dear Keskinyadis,

Firstly, thank you for replying to my letter in a timely fashion.
I was referred to you by Othokentir of the Teneks, though I am not of his tribe.
As for the ditherbombs, I'm willing to accept reasonable risks. That said, if you require certain materials to construct them, I might be able to help find said materials, if it will help speed the process along.
If you wish to meet, we could do so here, at a time of your choosing. I don't desire to make this inconvenient for you.

Kurchin read the message. Urgh... I really didn't want them to ask that. I'm not sure how much I should say, lest they think I'm crazy, or have some other reason not to trade the ditherbombs. Careful what to say, he wrote another letter.

After not receiving a response for several days, Kurchin decided it was time to leave another letter. Besides, I've made progress elsewhere... He wrote another note, and left it with the cleric of Kurtulmak as before. The contents are as follows.

Dear Keskinyadis,

I understand that you may be busy, and that we may have difficulty reaching an adequate meeting time. However, in the event that we are not able to come to a meeting any time in the near future, I would like to make a request for the components and procedures required in the creation of ditherbomb bolts. I'm willing to take the risks involved in creating such items.
