The Society of Antiquaries of Cordor
An invitation is extended to all those interested in the history of Cordor and Amia to join the Society of Antiquaries of Cordor.
This goes for experts and laymen alike in the fields of history, archaeology, literature and art.
Once a tenday, within Cordor East's library, meetings will be held whereupon subjects about history will be discussed as well as plan outings for archaeological excavations and explorations.
So, don't be shy, and come along to to just observe or contribute as much as you would like.
(( A weekday and time is given here ))
The perfect place to find historians to identify discoveries, to find people to explain the meanings within art pieces, to find people to network with other like minded folk to unload your obsessions upon.
All may come along for free for their first day, though beyond that subs will be collected at 1 platinum piece (10 gold pieces) per meeting for general upkeep, minutes, and exploration funding.
For more information please contact Issalia Laelithar, Cordor West.
// I'm aiming these to be around 21:30 GMT Wednesdays but that's not set in stone. Any nudges one or two hours one way or another is negotiable. Please feel free to post PC reactions and interest. This topic will also be used for updates.

Issalia Laelithar can be seen crossing out "Cordor West's gardens" and writing above it "Cordor East's Library" on all of the posters she remembers putting up.
Also "Lemonade is free" has been crossed out.

An artfully written letter arrives:
To Whom it May Concern,
I, Jess Incognito, would like to apply for the position of Head Librarian. I believe I posses the skills required to fulfill the demands of the position and would enjoy the opportunity to pursue my interest in Amian history,
regards,
Jess Incognito

A letter is sent to one Jess Incognito. It reads:
"Dear Jess Incognito,
Thank you for expressing interest in the post of Head Librarian of the Society of Antiquaries of Cordor.
To be placed as Head Librarian you must first become a member of the Society. To do so please fine me, Issalia Laelithar, in person in Cordor or come along to one of the weekly meetings held in Cordor.
Once a member you can be one of the librarians. One of the librarians will then be chosen as Head Librarian after showing their ability to organise and have genuine interest in doing as described.
I would very much like to see that your enthusiasm pays off.
Yours sincerely, Issalia Laelithar."
// If you see me in game, please send me a tell, or you could PM me to arrange meeting up in game.

The more literarily inclined in Cordor read the notices in earnest, hoping to be able to go learn more about rhe history of the Commonwealth. They chatter excitedly to themselves as a citizen reads the notice to them.
"All may come along free their first day, but subs will be collected at 1 pla... HEY! A Platinum!? Bloody... it's more of that adventurer farce! No normal person could ever afford that!"
The group of citizens stomps off frustrated and defeated in their attempts to learn more about the Commonwealth and educate themselves, and iin the end, angered at the display of arrogance from adventurers, catering once again, only to themselves.

(this presumes somehow, Warrick'd hear of such a reaction)
On hearing of the Commonwealth's reaction, Warrick looks over the documentation and sends a dispatch to the S.A.C. wherever any messages to them are sent:
On behalf of my fellow Cordorians and as a man who believes History and Educational access are things all should equivically have access to, I would ask at least for consideration of Citizenry you offer your services without cost.
I understand your need to fund yourselves, and will donate what I can spare that my fellow Cordorians may know the benefits of your society without having to dig into their own pockets for the funds asked.
Please send a reply at earliest convience,
Christophan Warrick of House Kenlyl

Issalia Laelithar reads the letter from Warrick. Instantly after, the half elf, half hin, readies her quill, ink, and paper.
"Dear Christophan Warrick of House Kenlyl,
Upon reading your letter I have discovered a grave miscommunication on my part in regards to the purpose of the Society of Antiquaries of Cordor.
Firstly, please let it be known that all research done and gathered resources (such as texts and museum pieces) are for the free education of a caste-free Amian populace.
Our suffix "of Cordor" is named strictly due to our location and not any affiliation with the Commonwealth or the City itself.
If you wish to make a donation on behalf of the Cordorian people I will happily accept it as the funds will sustain the growth and quality of the service we will provide. However, I will need a cast-iron guarantee that we remain independent and endure no influence by the Commonwealth and its members.
I hope we can come up with some sort of arrangement that will greatly benefit the free education of the people as well as the Society as a whole.
Kind regards and your's sincerely, Issalia Laelithar. Society of Antiquaries of Cordor Chief Coordinator."

Dear Issalia,
In regards to your charter and general access, I do not imagine you should be anticipating much immediate trouble. You are providing goods and similar of a potentially educational nature, but are not an educating faculty in and of yourselves, thusly not a school for all intents and purposes.
As for being generally influence free, I can understand your concerns and can assure that based on your current description of your mission, the Commonwealth should not have specific reason to seek any undue influence of you, unless you should evolve into a formalized academic faculty and educational facility.
It would perhaps be prudent to clarify in your advertisements about what the fees are required for in your works. Nonetheless, if possible I can endeavour to attend one of your meetings to perhaps learn more and see your efforts firsthand and speak with you more in person.

"Christophan Warrick of House Kenlyl,
Your advice is noted and will be executed in future.
I would be happy for you to come along to the meeting, though it be merely reconnaissance. You will be most welcome.
Yours,
Issalia Laelithar, Society of Antiquaries of Cordor Chief Coordinator."

Issalia goes to all her post sites and makes sure all the updated ones are still visible and unsoiled.
// Open meeting should be on tonight 21:30 GMT. Turning up 30-60 mins later should still be fine if earlier is impossible.

Issalia, the coordinator of the Antiquarians is seen in Kohlingen and Cordor making sure all of her posters are spick and span. Any spoiled or weathered posters get replaced with newly created ones.
// This one should be on at 21:30 GMT, and as usual, don't be put off if you think you'll be an hour late. Come whenever you can make it.

(( I may have to rearrange things in the near future so that there are two meetings a week, but only necessary to turn up to one. Mainly for time difference issues.
I'm thinking maybe one more suitable for Euro evenings, and one for Western Hemisphere / Eastern Hemisphere crossover.
Your availability also depends on whether you're a lark or an owl.
Anyway, feedback and suggestions will be helpful))

Issalia looks over the penned graffiti with a look of confusion.
Anyone in listening distance would have heard:
"I must say, that's rather off the wall, so-to-speak."
The graffiti is left untouched, thinking perhaps that it is some political statement about something unrelated to the Society of Antiquaries of Cordor.

*a note is delivered to the society with the header "from the desk of sir giando paladrious, triadic knight*
"Greetings, I Sir Giando Paladrious would like to extend my knowledge of the arts to your society. I do not know what I can do to help but the history of art and the funding of projects has been one of my favored past times, running even deeper than my time on this isle. As it is, I am one of the few master class artists on the island. I know much about the classical histories and could archive historic works or contribute my own or others. It is my hopes to open a full museum on the island for such artwork so perhaps a deal could be worked out. I can also provide protection on archeological expeditions, as I have been trained for several years in the way of the sword. If you will have me, send work to the keep of Kholingen before your next meeting.
Triads' Blessings,
Sir Giando Paladrious"

A letter is is sent to Giando Paladrious' dwelling in Kohlingen.
"Dear Sir Giando Paladrious of the Triadic Knights,
Thank you for expressing your interest in the Society of Antiquaries of Cordor. From what I have read in your letter I am happy to tell you that you and our Society have compatible aspirations. I would be pleased to see you attend our next meeting in the library of Cordor on ((as seen on the original post)).
You will only need to bring anything you feel relevant, some way of note taking, and of course, yourself.
Yours sincerely, Issalia Laelithar.
May the past direct our future."

// A thousand apologies. I am having connection issues. For some reason I can't seem to stay on line for more than what seems like a few minutes (sometimes less than a minute) let alone connected to the server. I will be giving today's meeting a miss, but would love to hear that one of the current members fill the void and at least discuss relevant issues in my absence.
