Archers and friends,

I am planning to roll the archery competition next Sunday, January 31st.

To do so I will have a sign list where the competitors will add the level they will be that day. I will cluster the participants in groups of levels that are very close to each other. I believe we may have, a beginners, an intermediate and an epic level of archery. But it will depend of those who will be there to participate.

What I need to know is to those interested in participate, what will be the best time. If January 31st is a bad day, what about the next Sunday?

The competition cannot happen without participants and I am willing to be flexible with the date and time to attract a larger number of participants for the little event.

Now, the event won't be for archers alone. Everyone that is a winyan or is in good terms with the city is invited to come and participate of the festivity. I have asked for some beverages and food and I would love to find a bard to sing some songs and tell some elven stories to entertain the people.

I want it to be an elven day and if life allows it I want to make it a bi-annual in game. Meaning, archers will be able to context the victor for their golden arrow every couple of months. Like creating a small Winyan tradition.

I know many of you have lore to share and knows loads of heroic stories of elves, become the bard for a day and bring your elven stories as well.

That is it then, post here if January 31st is a good day for you, if not if the next Sunday would work and let me know in GMT what is the best time for you that day.

I need to have a nice amount of feedback by Wednesday to post the Announcement in the PC Notice Board and in the Winya board with the sign list for the competition.

Thanks people, lets make it fun!!

Right now I am gathering the number of players and time able to do so. When I have at least five competitors for one of the three competition (beginning, intermediate and professional) I will make an formal invitation and set a date for real.

The races allowed for now are elves and half elves. Humans in good standing with Winya and that can prove so ICly. Drow only if somehow SHalwyn can be convinced ICLY. What will be tough cake.

Someone adds a note bellow it:

"Try not to use Shekats as archery targets."

A pretty halfling swathed in green robes looks at the note and then sighs when she realises she cant compete. Tucking her belove bow back under the crook of her arm Belladonna wanders off into the wilderness again.*

Have a competitor for the professional division.

Try making it available for more races, to increase the possibility the event will see the light of day.

Good idea though.

ummmm, the competition is for spellarchers. I will ask what other elves thinks. I do need more people on the lower levels and certainly epic archers.

The larger group of competitors I have is for the levels between 20 and 24.

Yes, I agree, open it up. Mostly because while the spellarchers should win given that they are completely focused on bow, others may have a chance and it could yeld some interesting surprises, which could yeld some decent RP.

If it is indeed for spell archers only then fair enough, likely you will only find elves and half elves who fit into that category anyway. Although you will -really- struggle to find a good howing of them all to be on at any one time I think. :(
