Cordor, not all that bad!

Dear free peoples of North Amia as of late it rumors of war and conflict can be heard across the Island. Tension and hardship mount with each passing day and the lure of giving into hate and violence grows sweeter. However I beseech that people step away from the brink of war, take a deep breath and find peace.

So often we decry Cordor for its ills but the people of Cordor can not be blamed for desiring peace, prosperity and to feed their families. Politics are hardly a black and white matter and war only stands to hurt the common man conscripted to fight.

It is easy to say that Cordor's goverment is the enemy, that their history of dislike for adventurers and hypocrisy when accepting adventurer gold is proof of their greed and weak ideology. It is easy to say their hatred for the Harpers; a renown organization that opposed tyranny and slavery is in fact due to their hidden corrupt agendas. It is easy to say they eagerly aligned with the arcanium a foul organization of misogynistic human-centric magi who venerate corrupt Nethril and were all to eager to please them by opposing Mystras Faith as the Arcaniums proxy. It is easy to say their kidnapping and Torture of Maddison Kenlyl and many others are the acts of a paranoid cruel government ripe with paranoid secret agendas and schemes. It is easy to say propaganda and Arcanium magic are used to keep the people unaware and complacent. It is easy to say Cordor is moving troops in preparation to conquer the free peoples of Amia and force them to bow on bended knee to a corrupt greedy city state. It is easy to say that Neveah was framed by a corrupt goverment body and used as a scapegoat and an excuse to reform the adventuring division of the Cordor guard into something easier for the government to control.

It is easy to say a lot of things about the government of Cordor. Easy to denounce them and shake our spears at them. However before we list the many wrongs we feel the leaders of Cordor have engaged in we should remember that clearly it was for the good of the people.

After all Harpers would have given the people far too much truth and it would have confused them. The followers of Mystra would have staved off the Arcanium and with out their magic the people of Cordor would have to worry about being free to think and feel against the Government. The people tortured scorned, cast out, arrested and abused by Cordor were all clearly made to do so for the good of Cordor after all Neveah, Maddison and now Lady Castial are all clearly necessary scapegoats to ensure the prosperity of the City State. The mobilization of Cordors armies and their recent control of Gulhorand and now the lowlands Delta are also very much needed after all Cordor can't have them or pesky places like Wharftown thinking they can remain independent, prolonged personal freedoms would only make peoples lives difficult.

So in the end, as war seems to loom, remember Cordors people are innocent and its Government has reasons for everything it has done.

*Missus picks up a flyer deposited on Dale lands and sets to reading it on the spot. When she reaches the last sentence of the penultimate paragraph a deep furrow forms upon her brow.*.

Everyone has something to get off their chest it seems, even if its a confusing diatribe.

*she opens her mouth appearing ready to say more when a chubby hand emerges from her sleeve and reaches up to clamp her mouth shut.*.

A simple slogan in bold bright letters is in various places along the roads of Amia to be seen.
"Evil thrives when good beings do nothing"

A notice is placed outside the Shrine in the region just outside of Kampos on one of the trees easy to find and read.

Dear peoples traveling and socializing in this area the Shrine of Eilistraee would like to officialy have it known that this region is and has been under our protection for some time. We have not as of yet felt inclined to post any of our wondrous clockwork defenders, guards or engage in regular patrols in this area as we feel that such would an infringement to Kampo's business practices and an act of oppression. I would also like to add while we have nothing against formal dueling and duels in this region so long as they do not damage the surrounding area in witch Kampo and we are respectfully adjacent to and so long as the deplorable practices of taking the corpses of ones foes for defilement or to be raised and tortured is not engaged in. The Shrine does not want to have to post guards or our unique guardian golems which I politely remind are just over the hill and at the high priestesses command. So remember if you're going to engage in dueling, sparing the like we don't take kindly to kidnapping the fallen to defile and or torture them and will respond accordingly. Don't force me to exert my self and my will or you will find black gauntlets have the fingers cut off when they try to stop bastard swords.-Yours Truly Erelkacha Kenlyl High Priestess of Eilistraee.

The following is stamped with the offical seal of house Kenlyl a bastard sword across a full moon.

Aghasi stops by to look at the noticeboard at Kampos briefly, but lingers for a bit longer as she reads through both official notices from the Shrine. She remains silent, keeping her opinions to herself as she makes her way out.
