the idol when someone next happens upon it would smell of piss and be covered in feces. Scrawled in blood, likely from a cave bear is this statement Compliments of Galoot |

The desecration would be noticed very soon after, by a visibly displeased man dressed in black and green. He carefully cleaned the idol with a simple cantrip, but left the blood-writing in-tact. He then leaves the cave in search of something... or someone. |

Some hours after the partial cleaning of the idol had occurred, something or someone enters the cavern of the idol. The shadow of the figure approaches the idol until its dark shade covers the lower portion of the statue containing the bloody text. The shadow stops and a few moments pass as the figure examines the writing before the shadows shade upon the idol stirs slightly with an accompanying squelch-like noise then returns to cover the statue once more. A further moment of calculating thought passes and then the figure abruptly shuffles over to the opposite wall facing the idol, the figure's shadow turns in the direction of the idol and without further hesitation begins to shudder violently. It's shape distorts wildly as it's limbs elongate and thin, the sound of bones relocating within the figures skin fills the cavern, only to be silenced by the cracking noise of hardening stone. Silence fell upon the cavern, now containing two gruesome statues upon it's walls. |

Roughly one day after the desecration of the idol, something happens in the cavern again. A thin trail of sanguine color, all the way from the entrance to the very idol of Bane, suggests that something or someone had been dragged through. All doubt could be cast aside once one laid their eyes on the chamber that housed the stone-carved likeness of the Dark Lord: a cleanly picked set of a half-orcish skeleton would adorn the ground, right below the idol. Written in the blood of the unfortunate victim, the following phrase could be found very near... Defy Bane and Die. . A set of red-colored armor, a tower shield and a finely made battle-ax could be found at the very end of the cavern, past the idol itself... A hint, perhaps, to the identity of the victim... Somewhere in the cavern, a very content-looking grizzly napped, having eaten particularly well for the day.

Shadows well hid their own, but eyes saw nevertheless. The plate and the axe, especially, are recognized as a worried wife goes looking for her missing husband, around dawn the next day, with a horrible suspicion of where he might be. What's left of the grizzly bear is some fur and spatters of blood as twin kukri fillet it into pieces about big enough for stew. The stomach, however, once ripped open, is rifled through and pieces, if any remain, are removed. The shadowy figure is also dressed in red and black, and should one be watching at the time, a few locks of red-gold hair, waist-long, around feminine curves, and the glint of rubies set in white fangs are seen within the depths of a shadow-black hood. When she's done, she leaves. She pays the idol no mind, though whether it's from hurry or a lack of care simply isn't known. However, any with sharp eyes will undoubtedly see that, as a rarity, the figure has no gleaming necklaces, nor does her cloak bear a symbol. Only the faint shine of leather and the soft rustle of silk when she allows herself to be heard. |

One older man who regularly checks up on the idol laughs with sarcasm. "Didn't take long for them to adopt their old cyricist methods. Bravo, Banites. You've already failed Him. I wash my hands of your pathetic Church.. To think, I thought they had changed." |

//After checking up on things, there would actually have been no blood trail, only the blood at the base of the idol itself. Carry on |

*It appears that 3 knights missed the commotion. It would be unfortunate for a banite to be caught there.* |
