There hangs a poster with a beautiful picture of the Symbol of the Morninglord around the southern and Western district of Cordor.
It feels odd, almost as if a Spell has been cast on it? Most feel Very happy and walk away.
It doesn't stand out very much and looks like somebody just made an attempt to cheer the gloomy population of cordor up a bit in the wake of the latest events.

Hope abides; therefore I abide.
Countless frustrations have not cowed me.
I am still alive, vibrant with life.
The black cloud will disappear,
The true sun will appear once again
In all its supernal glory.

-(The Illusionary script can only be properly desciphered by Followers of Bane; Or with a combination of the true seeing spell with the read magic or comprehend languages spell.)
The suggestion spell tells you to feel happy and walk away unless a follower of Bane)
-

Arise, children of Lord Bane,
The day of glory has arrived!
Against us, tyranny
Bloody banner is risen.
Do you hear in the countryside
These ferocious soldiers howling?
They are coming into our arms
To cut the throats of our sons, our wives!

To arms, citizens!
Form your battalions!
Let us walk, let us walk!
May an impure blood
Water our furrows!

To arms, faithful!
Form your battalions!
Let us walk, Let us walk!
In Osthavn we meet!

Five days after the posting... Thanks to his guard badges powers of sight, Loynis immediately removes these notices and the guards are ordered to arrest whoever posts them. And resistance should be met with swift and immediate execution.

A young man with long, blond hair and striking features happens to be passing through the town at just this time, a smile on his face, enjoying the novelty of the sights and sounds a new-found port can offer. His spirits were further boosted by the message of hope and renewal he'd read on one of the posters he'd already passed. Continuing along his way, he notices the guards taking down one of the posters. Curious, he approaches closely and overhears Loynis Griffonheart's final statement. Shocked at the seeming barbarism of the man's directive, he finds himself uttering aloud, 'Gods! Is there no process of law in this city, that one should be tried, condemned and swiftly executed by the city watch?!'

The Sergeant wouldn't really care about what the man has to say, seeming determined to wipe Banites off the face of Amia all together.

//The badge gives Read Magic and Comprehend Languages as well as true seeing? True Seeing alone doesn't reveal the contents of the message if you're not designated by the spell.

// The text can be detected as containing an illusion by a True Seeing. Actually reading it is what requires the second spell.

//It's the specific mention of Banites in the second post that makes me wonder. That implies having deciphered the message. No harm in removing a notice with obviously suspicions arcane writing, but understanding it is another matter!

// If we're going to get into the technicalities, i'd like to see a the DC from the OP for his spell Illusionary Script spell and suggestion.

//if we are gonna get technical, unless these PnP spells are DM approved, they need approval from everyone who can possibly encounter it, which is everyone who can enter Cordor. But then again if we are gonna get technical OOC issues should not be discussed in IC threads.

The young man taps the sergeant on the shoulder. 'I beg forgiveness for this intrusion, my good man; can you tell me please, is the church of Lathander not respected in this city?'

// I don't know about anyone else's opinion on PnP spells but mine is that if it's not in my NWN Spell Book, it's not being used by me in game.

//I'm going to say we put this on hold until a DM can chime on here.

// For the reasons I posted in the General Discussion thread, this is locked down and retconned. Don't force PnP spell effects on other players when there's no solid system in place to provide countermeasures...the only instance in which that may be done is with some kind of DM consent where we are able to determine the validity and viability of countermeasures. That was not done in this instance.

Not to say I don't approve of the original post, mind you. I think it is rather cool, and props for the neat idea. But still. PnP Spells require consent and you're not getting consent by posting it up in a forum post.

This is course means that Dead can pat himself on the back for being so right. :)
