PRESENTING
╬ The Battle of West Cordor: A retrospective ╬
The City of Tarkuul is pleased to inform all the citizens and adventurers of the region that the
forces of the Living City, the Western militia and the Special Tasks Unit annihilated the Amn
encampment in Cape Slakh which was imposing a threat to the free people of Cordor.
In a skirmish, the armies standing by the common people of Cordor took head on the enemy army
which was at least four times in size of our own. The blood-thirsty mercenaries collected from the
most ruthless of lands fell many of our defenders, yet once again the history showed that quantity
is not a substitute for quality, and that golden glitter of the blood money is not a substitute for a
golden glitter of the brave hearts.
The early stages of the battle were favorable as the mercenaries were taken by surprise. For a few
minutes, it appeared that the Amnish troops are in state of chaos, and that the battle shall be won
without many friendly casualties. Alas, soon enough, the enemy regrouped and sent its own battle
formations against the allied champions. The numbers beyond count of the foe shook the ground as
the wave upon wave crashed against our battle line.
Under the overcoming pressure of the barbaric horde, the allies retreated to the walls, but it was
only a matter of moments before the gate of West Cordor shall fall. As the invading savages breached
the gate, crying in ecstasy, preparing to ravage, burn and plunder, they were given a welcome by the
mighty war golems of Tarkuul. Mercilessly and without remorse, the enemy was devastated by the
stalwart constructs, crushed by the mighty fists and gargantuan feet. Before the opponents had a
chance to regroup, their weak hearts filled with fear as the troops of Tarkuul, Western Militia and STU
marched out of Cordor for a final decisive charge. The momentum was overwhelming and soon enough
the cowardly enemy routed. The camp of the foe was burned to the ground. Victory was achieved!
The bravery and sacrifice of the fallen defenders shall forever be carved in our memories as their
valorous, heroic names shall stand like pillars of freedom, upon which the future of the countless
generations shall be built. To these paragons of righteousness we pray and offer our eternal
gratitude. Let their legacy never be forgotten and may they rest in peace.
