A thin, and some might say handsome, pale man with dark hair cleared his throat and stepped about the pillars in the square of Eastern Cordor. He took a moment to smile about him at any who may be paying attention- though there may be none- a true performer. He had a ebon guitar strapped about one shoulder and strummed a chord before taking a bow.
"My name is Caron," He said. "And I am here to sing you a song. It is one of my own making. I have called it The Aldaemmian Lay, or, The Lay of The Buxom Blonde. I met this beauty in your own Market Hall, and sadly, have been unable to find her since... but she led me to wonderful opportunity and I swore, upon my art and pride, that I would do her justice in my way. This is to you, my lady, may it somehow reach your ears..."
With that, he began a fast beat and tapped his foot along. "The Aldaemmian Lay!" He called. The upbeat tempo beat and beat and beat and-- stopped! Then, he began to sing. It was a ringing and bright voice, with snide and sarcastic tones well-fit for the side remarks. It was lilting overall, providing contrast to the message of the text, and Caron carried a soft, and humorous, build in between phrases. To those who listened, with an ear for the music and an eye for the performance, they may notice particular things about the song and about the man whilst he performed it. It was meant for someone. Whether that someone would ever hear it, well, that was the rub.(( OOC Inspiration for the music: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RO-MotIQOPU )) The Aldaemmian Lay
It were chance, The beauty fair; I had not seen her standing there.
A tale I sang, Of duty deep, To which she laughed On humor's feet.
"I seek great beauty," my bright voice rang, And thus my buxom blonde, she came! She answered softly, kind and true, "Great beauty, sir, I bring to you."
"To the west, a castle lies- 'Twixt vagabonds and darkened skies. Your fest to hold and dream to live; Yes, you shall find great beauty hith."
"It cannot be!" I thus replied! But how to know until I tried? And so I bowed and scraped and plead, Afore my feet a-yonder led.
"A name I ask, to know you by, So I may know your beauty's sigh."
But such it seemed was not to be, For my blonde- a-feared, was she!
"You must not put me in your song! But Oh! My dear! I must hurry along!"
A laugh she got from me this time, Though I did sweep in perfect rhyme.
"Then you shall be my buxom blonde, Mysterious as Celestia's dawn... Whose nameless lay is ever-played. Your fair face drawn, its shape portrayed. O Cordor, Cordor, where does she hide?! I'll have them search both tall and wide!"
So all ye hear and fare thee well- Admire heads of fairest tell! Do try to find my buxom blonde, But alas, she may be well and gone.

It may have been heard again by some, that pale man's voice in song! It was a rendition of a song of someone else, far away, of the longing for alcohol and travel and what will be left behind! It may have echoed... You're going to miss me when I'm gone...// Once again, feel free to post reactions to songs if you're there or hear about them! Trying to turn these threads into possible "Material" for bards and/or entertainers to talk about, hear about, local gossip and rumor and such as get done in cities by the artistic world! <3 Did not include lyrics for this one because they were not my own. It was inspired and used material from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjcOzqxu4JQ

There was another performance of that pale, uppity bard in the East Cordor square... it seemed this one was on request and contained some subject matter that may hit awfully close to home...
The tablets of law were a bawdy bit- all pillars of stone in a watery tit. Then back'd the city in the flood of mages of black and rivers of blood. But truly did these pillars yearn for war to fade and hearts to burn- so that their Truest purpose came a-floating back to Cordor main.
They were the bawdy tablets of the stony, eastern square. A and B and C and D, all stiff and straight and bare of hair.
The tablets of law were a bawdy bit- with seats all around, but so awkward to sit! They gave the world the law of the state with their sensual scrawls and their mem'ry for dates. They may seem stern and cruel- unfair! But their Truest purpose was ya derrier!
They were the bawdy tablets of the stony, eastern square. A and B and C and D, all stiff and straight and bare of hair.
Now, you may think I'm crazy and that pillars don't have thoughts... But you ain't never ahd their stony sticks inside ya arse!
They were the bawdy tablets of the stony, eastern square. A and B and C and D, all stiff and straight and bare of hair.

*Several days later, while sitting in the Nomad enjoying an ale, Val recounts the performance in the Cordor square to others, and chuckles*
'That bard earned his gold, by my reckoning. We put him in a tight spot but he pulled it off. Or, should I say, put it on! Four stone phalluses! *punctuates his laughter with a hearty drink* Oh, he's talented enough to play in some royal hall, despite what he humbly claimed. No, no, it was worth every copper.'
