A Tall figure, wearing black, trimmed with brown leather, hooded and cloaked approaches via the known road toward the Grove. He makes his way across the bridge to the gate where he pauses. He wrings his hands, lets out an audible sigh and turns on his heels to leave, having not even uttered a word or made attempt to enter. He makes it to the road, follows it around the bend, walks to the edge and slumps down to the ground where he sits, his gaze focused on the gate, the bridge and the road. He would offer a friendly nod to any who pass by, and a waterskin is tossed to a traveler who looked in need, but he says little, mostly greetings and farewells and he never removes his hood. |

As night begins to fall, the figure rises, and walks off following the road, past Minmir Bridge. |

A hooded figure in black with leather trim slowly makes his way through the Amia Forest, bow in hand. His gaze wanders over the woodland area, his steps quiet. He stops suddenly at seeing movement ahead. A small group of deer are feeding not far ahead. He crouches, watching. He notes a mature female and male, three fawns, and another aging female. One of the fawns seems injured, and the aging doe has a limp in her hind legs, from obvious pain in her hips. He watches them for several minutes before finally raising his bow, nocking an arrow and with a single shot, taking down the aging doe. Before tracking down his quarry, the man finds the wounded fawn, who can't seem to get away as fast as the others. He finally catches it, and sits on the ground, cradling it so as to calm it down. He then sees the source of injury, just some brambles that the young one was snagged by. Sadly, the wound is becoming infected. He does his best to clean the wound, and applies an herbal remedy and a poultice to the wound. He knows the bandage will tear away within days, but, by then the medicine within will take effect. He then frees the fawn to catch up to her family and tracks the doe he felled moments ago. She is found, already, the life within her has faded, the single well placed arrow doing it's job quickly. He proceeds to dress the carcass, removing the hide and packing it away for later use and treatment. He butchers the animal and packs the usable meat into bags. Once finished... he washes his hands and whatever blood he can from his clothes in a nearby lake, then quietly stalks off into the forest. |
