"Every action has a consequence...

This simple phrase would seem to elude the general adventuring populace of Amia. Who in the broadest sense seem to believe themselves to be judge, jury and executioner. Who do you believe yourself to be that you can simply stroll around the Island with your inflated sense of ego and bring down ham-fisted justice you /BELIEVE/ others deserve.

Recently I have made an attempt to connect with my Racial roots and truth be told... I feel nothing but sadness and hatred for them. How dare you turn up your nose to the protect those that so wanton destruction and chaos across the Island. How dare you believe youself so far above the common man that do not even offer words of apology for the actions of your people.

Today Amia, I tell you that I am ashamed to be of elven heritage. I am ashamed of my kin... Today I ask that Winya brings forth these miscreants so that they can be judged accordingly for their actions. Because if actions do not have consequences... What is the point?

Ryvvik of the Old Order."

There is a simple message written in elven left as response.

Mr. Ryvvik,

I am sad to see, that you feel it this way. On the other hand, it is so easy to judge others only on behalf of one charge.
Honestly, all actions, taken again said Caron and Drusus, were planed for a longer time, based on their crimes commited against the Fair Folk. If you will have more questions and will be interested in hearing more about this matter, please seek me in Winya Ravana, I will gladly answer all your questions - to make sure you have all relevant informations to make your own picture of whole problem.

Do you see? Do you see the hypocrisy of the elves? How fast they are to claim moral superiority, to accuse others of judging, yet believing that crimes against the "fair folk" supersede all else.

This justifies their murders in the Dale.
This justifies their murders by Kampos.
This justifies their murders in the Triumvir.
This justifies their murders in the forest.

I witnessed Selgoron speaking to other elves and their acceptance of his word, how kindly they treated him, how absolute their faith is. They will take the word of a dangerous, murderous necromancer against all other evidence, against the outcry of the entire isle.

All actions taken against Caron and Drusus were planned? No matter the justification or planning, they attacked people, used dangerous, volatile, necromantic area magic, in a public space! Should we stand up and say "No more"? No. The time for words is done. The elves won't listen anyways. It's time for action.

Resist however it is in your power to resist. Drastically raise your prices whenever you trade with an elf. Boycott their goods. Block their carts. Harass their travelers. Make them fear this isle that they have so long abused without consequence.

If you do not stand up against what they have done to you, then you only have yourselves to blame when they murder your friends and family as they "purge the lessers" from this isle.

A reply is added to the Kampo's notice board.

Good people who are intelligently aware of this double standard,

It is a common theme for the Winyans to cast aside the incrimination of other Elves at a whim. I have even witnessed the aftermath of when an Elf burned down a section of the Amian forest. Yet this action was cast aside, the Winyans doing nothing once they discovered an Elf was behind it.

The status quo of Winya Ravana is exactly that. But these Elves are from places such as Evermeet. So used to the presence of only other Elves, they are unlike those of us Elves from the Sword Coast. If you plan on disadvantaging Winya Ravana, let those of us Elven who hail from other places to be let be. Many of us have debated, in vain, with the Winyans. But they are adamant in their ways when confronted with only words. Therefore, take this denunciation of Winya Ravana's system as a praising of any boycotts against them.

Alethias, an Arcanist.

A notice added to the ongoing notice board debate at Kampo's.

Look, I think everyone needs to take a step back from all this shit for one second and think. All this bullshit that's getting thrown around about uprisings will only lead to something pretty damn close to a war. I'm not saying those elves who attacked my friends shouldn't pay. In fact, I think they deserve more than a proper punishment for their crimes. However, while they may be getting sheltered within Winya, you're still taking the actions of a few and turning them on all the rest. There are good people who call Winya their home and to be so quick to start a war with them makes you no better than those who were involved in all these various incidents. Honestly, the same can be said about the shit being spewed about an uprising against the War Knights. I dislike the War Knights probably about as much as everyone else, but that doesn't mean that people should start a damn war over it. Is everyone so filled with blood lust that they can't just stop and fucking think about all this?

Those elves brutal attacked those I call friends and shit isn't being done, for the most part. It feels like shit and it makes me very angry. However, I'm not going to draw my sword and march on Winya Ravana for that. All you people are adults, or at least I'd hope as much. Because you all sound like toddlers throwing a shit fit over your neighbor's kid having taken your toy away. Grow the fuck up.

One new finger in the pie arrives at the cluttered message board, her footfalls heavy and paced. She reads along the several contentious disputes with but a subtle purse in her lip. With broad strokes, she takes her time in constructing a response.

I do not know many of the faces to which beget the names lining these pages. But I present myself to you; I am Lady Desdemona, of the Winyan enclave. I am not a single voice to speak for the flock. As is the same for the rest of our kin. One mouth, one tongue, one person does not speak for the entire populace. There are many who did not agree with the actions that have transpired over the last several cycles. Some of us have further stepped forth to rectify what has been done.

Just as with any people, there will be those few who are radical and who act without thought. Who do things unbecoming of the way we wish to hold ourselves. We are not a hive mind, nor do we claim to be. I do not write to tell you that I will provide forth those who have transgressed, because I am not their keepers. I do not have the right to demand of another living being, nor to direct what they can or cannot do. What they should or should not do.

But my kin's actions were wrongful. And I come to claim the responsibility they will not. I have, and will be actively seeking justice for the crimes done unto the innocents who were maimed or have suffered at the hands of their folly. We cannot direct the actions of the council above us, nor can we rightfully assume power over their decisions. It falls to us, as individuals, to take the mantle of justice and retribution. If you wish to speak to me, or hold me to this, I will be available to you through whichever medium you desire.

To Aedan,

I lost count of how many times you used the word "shit" while completely misrepresenting the public response to the crimes of the Winyans. You make it sound as if I'm calling for all out war. If you took more than two seconds to read my statement, you would see I'm far more measured than that, especially considering people I know where slaughtered by Selgoron.

Considering the murderers and protections they get in Winya, a more violent response wouldn't be beyond reason. What I am calling for though starts with trade restrictions and causing general problems for their trade and travel, as a statement and reply to what's happened until they allow proper justice to be done.

Could this result in violence? It could. It depends on how far the Winyans take this and how long their apathy towards the rest of us continues to protect killers on their land. This isn't escalation - this is simply cause and effect. The only person lowering themselves to the level of squabbling children is you.

To "Lady" Desdomona,

Talk is cheap. The isle has put up with killers hiding in Winya long enough. I acknowledge that there are good Winyans who don't agree with what's going on, but while the greater whole of your city continues to allow these transgressions to continue, we will respond - first with economic blockages, and then more severe action if it comes to it.

If you or other good Winyans are concerned about what's going on, do more in your city to fix this problem, otherwise you clearly prove that you are a minority, and that the majority of Winyans don't care about "lessers" or their deaths.

Justice will be done one way or another.

Changes are being pushed for, and worked towards. They will not happen overnight. But I do not come to convince you that you should not do whatever it is you are planning, in your own vision of punishment for our city. I cannot, and will not stop you.

But you will be making more innocents suffer in such a choice, as you have already acknowledged that not everyone in the city proper is to blame, and will only be stooping to the levels of the transgressors. I invite those of you here to join us in assuring the future safety of the Triumvir and their people, since the point Silvershade made was correct: 'talk is cheap'.

The "Obyrith" demon, whom threatens all settlements on the island was seeing several orbs. These orbs were literally locks, keeping the Obyrith in place, and two elves, Sion and Shyllia, while under the supervision of Aleana whom witnessed the 'closing arguments,' SOLD the orb to the monster in exchange for their own individual safety AND as a deal; if they handed over the orb, the monster would no longer attack Winya.

While I don't know why this was done from a moral or ethical standpoint, as it clearly lacks both, it certainly illustrates why no elf is willing to explain why they are no longer willing to combat this demon; it would violate the deal they struck as a society.

They sold out the rest of us and refuse to fight the enemy they themselves armed. They protect, are polite with, and entertain murders and necromancers.

This is how Winya operates; they should be ashamed, and you should be angry.

Cor'Xak has an interesting view on the truth. First off:
They did not "sell the orb under my supervision". I am not entirely certain why he makes up this kind of thing, but apparently he likes to create additional chaos. What is true: I was responsible for Winyas defense in this regard and the two managed to steal and sell the Orb during that time, as has been publically known for a while. I also did not "witness the closing argument" and I am once again not sure why Cor'Xak is making these things up, given that I have not said this during any of our conversations.

Shyllia and Sion acted on their own.

As for "no elf willing to combat the demon", since this deal we have been in conflict with it on two occasions again, as Kohlingen and Wiltun should be able to confirm, so I am not entirely sure why Cor'Xak is making this up either.

All in all, it appears Cor'Xaks motives are rather questionable, making me wonder what his agenda is.

Posted in Kampos under all of the writing, a note was pinned up by a short, broad male, whom wandered on with a limp. His hood remained up over his head and olive cloak draped down over his shoulders.

Quote:
Honestly, holding all of Winya to charge is not what's happening here. Stop blaming all elves for the actions of a few. Winya has shown that it serves itself. It's an enclave of elves, and the only one on the isle. Of course they would look out for each other and defend their own vehemently. Extremely, in many cases.

However, this is down to the actions of four elves. Not an entire race. All of you slandering them, you are inciting war when you do this. You are not promoting peace, nor harmony, nor justice. Find the line between justice and vengeance.

Cor'Xak, you of all creatures should know what it is like to be oppressed for the actions of your kind over those of your own actions. No, the elves may not be as hospitable as some. No, they may not be as open as some. No, they do not see eye to eye with us 'lesser races'. How could they? They live for hundreds of years. We are a blink in their eyes. I trust Aleana did what she thought would keep her people safe. Shyllia and Sion are both known to be chaotic in many aspects. Having stood trial for following the Nightsinger once themselves, they cannot, and do not speak for their race. No one can. They acted on their own behalf. Just like the four currently convicted elves.

Accuse the convicted. Lay blame where you have evidence. Raise your voice only if you know the truth. Wise up, people. This island will suffer more than profit if you keep trying to force out the Tel'Quessir. Next time you have the urge to write a post here and slander good names, speak to the being first, try to see it from there eyes, then judge. All of this child-like note writing is one thing and one thing only, utterly pathetic. Iim'urs'ss has made us all aware of the situation. Deal with it like adults, please, if possible, with out more blood shed.

Morning Lord watch over you all. Tomorrow, is a new day, a new beginning. Seize it.
~SCC

With that, the Ranger climbed the steps from Kampos and walked toward the Nexus.

Don't be a fool. I'm not advocating a 'purge' of elves.

The crimes of those named need to be answered for. Currently they reside under the protection of Winya. Those named should be ejected; they should not enjoy safe harbor there.

As for calls for War? I think it would say more about the Elves if they were willing to go to war to protect murdering psychopaths and demon-bargainers.

As you say, the Elves look out for number one. Any 'justice' they attempt to bring on their own shy of true and permanent execution will fall short. The heads of the demon-bargainers and purge fanatics should be delivered, and attempted resurrection of those accursed individuals should be treated as another crime.

At some point during the fast and notably furious notices being posted, a finely dressed human quite literally sets up camp at a corner table in Kampos. Armed with a blanket, pillow, and notebook he keeps a vigilant eye on the notice board and takes copious notes on comings and goings at the establishment.

Once a cycle, he hands off a handful of notes to a brightly dressed drow who arrives for his daily ritual of wine and the attempt at a reaction of the bartender to a new slice of wit for the day. Should any elf happen to pass through during his time of drink and joke, he would of course salute them.

Calling out in flawless High Elven and raising a glass, "May your sun shine upon you, my matron would be proud of you all."

[At Kampos, another posting is made. Should someone be watching the board, they might not realize it was ever touched as the note appeared to come out of no where.]
//Emoted in game at the board under stealth. Catch him if you can!//

Whatever arguments there are, whatever other actions have happened, the response of the elves has clearly shown us one consistent and simple truth: If they are the truly good of Winya, they represent a minority.

Until we see action, until we see something done, until the safe haven for murderers is through with being their refuge, all other arguments are pointless. I said before, talk is cheap. All these responses have done little to nothing to advance a solution. Action must happen.

As for the claims that innocents will be caught in whatever action is taken against Winya if Winya refuses to do anything about the murders, there are no innocents in Winya. Disagreement isn't enough to call yourself innocent. Change your city, or leave your city. Otherwise you will be caught in the wake.

This is about justice, plain and simple. If you throw your body in the way of a murderer and then accuse the person trying to deal with them of harming an "innocent", you're as delusional as you are guilty.

An elven ranger arrived in Kampos to view the latest gossip. At the Silvershade's latest remarks, Ilasmirene drew a steady frown over her features. Apparently, something written in the last message finally compelled the woman to write a response.

"You do not speak of justice, but retribution-- Indiscriminate vengeance. Despite your anger, you condemn the lives of children, the meek, the kind-hearted, the loving. Artists, blacksmiths, priests who have healed wounds, tavern owners who have served visitors warmly.

If your anger is with the Council of Winya, so be it.
If your anger is with the Armathora, so be it.
If your anger is with those who struck violence against you, so be it.
Your anger is deserved.

But do not endanger Winya and its People by denying their innocence, and threatening violence upon our home. Just as we do not hold the human race accountable for the actions of the Arcanum. Just as we do not hold common citizens of Cordor guilty for the actions of its officials in its rise. Cordor's people had their trust abused; and Winya suffers no separately.

Despite the threats made, I will not pursue you with a similar violence, Silvershade. If a circle of bloodshed and vengeance grows wider, justice is forgotten. Change becomes plagued by sickened roots, destined only to fail in the same.

But I will defend my city, my home, and the home of these innocent lives until my dying breath. And my violence would not be born of hatred for your deed, but love for my kin.

I pray you soon see reason, and cease this dangerous rhetoric.

Ilasmirene Telynna
Ranger of the Skywood

[At Kampos, once again another message is tacked up with little sign of who did it except to those with both extremely keen senses and skill to remain sufficiently hidden near by.]

Once again, I will state my purpose, so the elves cannot play the victim.

I am not advocating war or the slaughter of innocents, despite us being the victims of such indiscriminate murders. I am advocating sanctions, boycotts, and generally making trade and travel to Winya difficult. This is remarkably passive considering what's been done to us.

Will it turn to violence? Maybe. Probably. If the elves continue as they have. That is entirely up to them. Families who stay in such a dark and corrupt place have only themselves to blame if they're caught in the crossfires should this escalate significantly.

A more sickening picture though I cannot think of, that the elves would use living innocent shields to shelter dark necromancers and murderers from justice, and call us savages. Those who are not blinded or heavily biased will see through your charade. We will not be brushed aside with your absurd and faulty logic and misrepresentations of our words to make us appear as monsters.

Your sanctimonious hypocrisy will be tolerated no longer.

[After a few days of no replies, another message is posted at Kampos. Once again if there were witnesses to the identity of Silvershade, they weren't talking.]

My friends, I bring you troubling news. The elves are closing in on me, I'm sure to silence me for my rejection of their supposed superiority. I fear if you don't hear from me again, this has likely been my fate. Given what I am about to share with you, they will likely have enough clue to where I am and how I get my information that you will never hear from me again.

Two days ago, deep in Winya where I'm sure they thought they had the privacy to not hide their true intentions, I witnessed Selgoron and the Captain of the Armathora, Aleana Xiloscient, speaking.

Their conversation remained friendly, as they seemed to have respect and understanding for each other. Aleana thanked Selgoron for his work beyond Winya, but cautioned him on the negative publicity he was drawing on them. She discussed that his status in the city may have to be sacrificed so the elves could save face, so Selgoron could continue his "good works for the fair folk" beyond their walls. Selgoron agreed to this, if it came to it, that he would accept this burden on behalf of Winya - but it would be a sham.

This level of deception, of duplicity, shows the sheer scope of the intentions the elves of Winya have for us "lessers". They want this isle under elven control, pure and simple. It starts with murders of people few will miss, but as it continues, more and more people will disappear. If we wait, if we pretend nothing is wrong, we may find there are few people or tools left to fight back when the Winyans come for the rest of us.

Don't let them take your home. Don't let them slay your friends and family. The time to act is now, while we still can.

May the All-Seeing watch over you, brothers and sisters.

After visiting Kampo's Storehouse several times, a dark cladded individual leaves a vanilla parchment.

Winya is nothing but selfish elves who's idea of a perfect society is just elves. They do what they can to create a utopia but Winya is nothing but a dystopia. Their constant ideas and actions to a perfect society is only harming themselves. What ever they do, no matter how small the task is, leads to bettering themselves and fornicating the "lesser" races. None seen through their behavior, and as time goes they'll become more dominate and the rest of the civilizations are left for doom.
