He awoke, and all he was, all that he knew, and all that he could be, had turned to the most pure sensations of pain. His eyes opened to a void, he closed them quickly and yet the void remained. They have taken my sight He knew this as truth through the undulating waves of pain, such coherent thought only possible through his recitation of his will within his mind. I am an Ikm of the Ma'at, the Oasis that is life beneath the sun. He tried to speak of them, but his lips tore as he opened his mouth and he fell blessedly into blackness as his primal self let loose an ululation within the deepest fathoms of his mind. |
