I already have an Underdark PC running about so I've been wondering about what to make for playing around on the surface. In the deluge of character ideas I've had I've decided upon something fey related, which brings me to my primary question.

Is there much of a Seelie or Unseelie PC presence on the server with which to integrate such a PC?

Indeed! I am not too sure on the seelie court myself, but certainly the latter running about. Also Selvec (dm) running fey plots regarding the courts about. Certainly fey mingling about if you can find em though in various places

There are several fairly well-established PCs of fey extraction and/or inclination. I'm familiar with a few more Seelie than Unseelie, probably just because my characters tend not to be dark-siders. :) But, both are present. I doubt you'd find a shortage of people to interact with.

There is a fey presence. But to play a fey on the server its required you make a request to play a platnium race, or a special character. Fey touched are free to play, but, fey touched are essentially the fey version of tiefling. In that you are a creature with a very small portion of fey blood. Not half, not even a quarter, but a small percentage.

I wanna make this clear right now. There should be no players running around with fey-touched, claiming to be fey or half-fey, unless your character is purposely lying. If you want to play a fey (anything but fey-touched) character, you need to make a request to do so. Thanks.

I'd also encourage that if you plan to play a court focused fey, go Seelie or Unseelie, Winter or Summer court. Ignore the Twilight Court for new characters.

I can imagine the Unseelie not caring much about Feytouched in the court as they're particularly well known for taking in mongrels and just about anyone that has even a smidgen of fey blood (or really is just willing to work for them). But I would bet the Seelie would display racism and snobbery towards anyone of non-pure fey lineage.

The Seelie court has a sect of mortal ambassadors known as the mystic mavens *check the Wild-Soul prestidge class in complete arcane* that can be any race though it's usually only sorcerers who become them... who a certain wild-elf is trying to become :)

Tis a fact. But there is overarching circumstances on Amia due to a few characters which are legit Seelie, who seem to have no issue with Mongrels. Though it is a fact that the Unseelie court takes on feytouched much much easier then the Seelie court. Usually one task, a pledge and your in. Seelie would probably talk about things for a long time.

I like to think of the two courts in terms of Power vs Numbers. Unseelie has numbers due to their willingness to take on almost any mongrel (Who is evil or neutral), where as the Seelie court has power due to the amount of pure fey they have in their court.

This isn't to say that players can't make characters who THINK they are in the seelie court. The player can go around saying they are Seelie, if they feel it best represents their power.

I play a half-kelpie, strongly in the Unseelie Court. Unfortunately, I've not found any other fey-political roleplayers, so far....
