Newly arrived in Tarkuul, 'Doctor' Jyric can be seen looking through several books on anatomy and relating to the arts of the undead. He would sit for hours in the library with an undead servant at his side fetching books for him when he found whatever it was that he was looking for. The elderly man could also be seen sorting through his various medical imstruments and inspecting them ever so often. If he were spoken to, he would readily introduce himself, politely finish the conversation and continue his studies. When not wasting away in the library, he would set on expeditions to gather specimen for experimintation and dissection. During these expeditions it would be noted that the Doctor would rarely if ever animate corpses, and would steer from doing so if possible. Whilst in Tarkuul he would hardly be seen without his servitor at his side.

After some time, he would also be noted seeking out the Headmistress of the academy in hopes of speaking with her about the state of her academy.

The Headmistress is easily found. Upon introductions, wherein it's discovered that her name is Irae'arra, she asks how she might be of assistance and what it is the doctor desires from the Living City.
