Is there anywhere to find good information on Udos Dro'xun and Ultrinnan, the two old drow cities? I have read the Amia wiki entry on them, and know the basic IG stuff, but is there more? I checked the forums before, but didn't really find anything of real use.
What do we have on them that we can know? I'm curious since I might want to make a drow character that lived in Udos Dro'xun but I don't know if I can even do that, or how long the settlement was around (thinking he will be around 150+ years old).

Lore aside, considering Udos Dro'xun was removed from the mod over five years ago... I really don't recommend you do it. You won't have any clue as to what happened back then aside from the basics, so I don't see much point in it.

Okay, it was more to make a drow that was 'different' in origin. Everyone is almost always from Menzoberranzan, which is why my cleric is from Sshamath instead, and any char can't be 150+ years old and native to Edonil, obviously. So I was thinking a progression from Udos Dro'xun > Ultrinnan > Edonil would make sense.
Out of curiosity, would there really be an issue? It's merely to give him a birthplace different from the norm, and I figure it's highly believable that he could have lived in those three cities over time (I think the move from Udos Dro'xun to Edonil is only over the course of about 10 years?

Technically (as in according to the amia timeline) it will have been 12 years since Udos collapsed, of course then there is always the issue of Drow having weird time line stuff to incorporate births and all that.
If you were really set though on having a drow character that lived in both Udos and Ultrinnan it would be good to remember that both suffered rather sever disasters so a good reason why or how this particular drow survived as well as having gone virtually unnoticed until the present. Also (since I assume you're not going to stall the level progression of the character) a good story as to why he is suddenly becoming so much more powerful would be nice to see.
Also I agree with Suney, I wouldn't recommend making a character that is supposed to have been from Udos for a number of reasons. Ultrinnan alone would be better but I would still avoid it unless its really important to the character's concept.

Oh I planned on making it good, given those reasons. I'm still fleshing it out, though, so I just wanted to see what lore there is out there to base things on.
As for leveling, I won't play him all the time so it'd definitely be spread out!

There wasn't anything particularly interesting about Udos. It was a small city. If you know the house politics and maybe the faction heads, you can be convincing. Frankly, I don't remember what happened there. Veh'dra become matron of Arabett just before Udos's fall. That big drow fellow associated with the Vhaeraunians was Ul'saruk, one with a scimitar. I think Gloth was Ul'faruk already?
None of the current houses existed there. Do'Veldran was relatively small I think, then there was Barra'Arissa. Vandree and Arabett were pretty big. I don't remember the name of the big house carried over from Arelith which fell before the transition to Ultrinnan, but you probably should. Olath'Orbb was very small (Naref/Lomir/Inthuul/one more female) and I think new at the time. Then there was Kor'ali ruled my Morne, and they turned to be Vhaeraunians.
Not sure if Fuma'Vhid were around back then, but they didn't really interact favorably with anyone until much later.
The Academy wasn't as structured as it is now, at least. Proper chain of command and active tutoring came later in Ultrinnan, at least to the MM.

Fuma'Vhid didn't react favorably with anyone. There. I'll say it.

If I'm right, House Dra'kaa may have been the house carried over from Arelith. Its about one of the oldest houses in Arelith, with only one player left over there and one NPC. But Udos was also largely destroyed on Arelith (its being rebuilt slowly) but I know the players who were around when the server split on that server, so can always ask them.
But I House Dra'kaa springs to mind as one of the oldest Udossian Houses. If you want some interesting history, one of my characters was involved with House Vandree for a little while in Ultrinnan. What would be more interesting is if you played a historian type character, who seeks knowledge of the two old cities...
Then he or she could meet my old shadow elf who can tell you quite a lot about some of the older houses and also, ultrinnan and I'm sure a few other players could do the same.

House Dra'kaa doesn't ring a bell to me at all, and I've been around since the day Udos Dro'xun was put into the module. Especially since in the beginning, with fresh water and food, any surfacer could visit and walk around Udos Dro'Xun unmolested, no issues. I think you're mixing up your parallel timelines, Arelith and Amia.

Reanimated. Idk if this is considered some form of metagaming since I am unable to play these days but it was something that always confused me when i played a drow character. What is the progression of Archmages? When I first started it was Az'danduil, I think, and Gloth came later but you are saying that Gloth was archmage before I started playing? Quote: I think Gloth was Ul'faruk already?
So am I just all confused or did something happen? Arith was archmage at one point too wasn't he? If this is somehow a wrong question then I apologize but I could never get a straight answer ICly and I can't get on right now anyways.

Arith became archmage in Ultrinnan. Right before him Azdanduil was Ul'faeruk. He technically reigned right up until the fall of Ultrinnan, when Gloth took over for the few weeks the city was still around. Before all that, though, I only know some very sketchy details.

Gloth may or may not have held the office earlier. He is ancient, after all. I honestly can't remember, it's all a blur.

Gloth held the title of Archmage several times over the years. I can remember 3 separate occasions just in my time here, much less the Arelith days.

Az'danduil held Ul'faeruk for a long, long time in Ultrinnan! Gloth held it for brief moments both before and after. I have no idea whether he did in Udos.
