//This thread is for anyone who interacts with, or is around, the "Antique Golden Bracer".
*-*-*-*-*
After the incident with the candelabra within Castle Tarkuul, a quick trip to Underport saw the new account with Morgan & Sons opened.
Upon their return to retrieve the item from that branch, they would have been met with a scowling attendant who politely "asked" that they retrieve the bracer, and never return it. The man would express that several accidents started to take place after the bracer's arrival there, some small but one resulting in a broken leg and that they do not accept cursed objects which prove dangerous.
*-*-*-*-*
Upon examination with an Analyze Dweomer spell, Arith would start to detect a Conjurative spell of some kind... but before he can get a proper read on what it is, the lens used for the spell's focus, somehow slips out of his hand, disrupting the spell. The delicate lens falls straight to the floor and a faint cracking sound is heard.

The drow mage is, needless to say, less than pleased with the accident and pauses to regard the broken focus in silence for a few moments. He refrains from touching the cursed item and after a brief talk with the bracer's owner, he inwardly breathes a sigh of relief to see it leave his workspace.

After two more paranoia-filled days, in which the bracer is occasionally stashed away, and open flame are very carefully avoided, the current owner finally meets with a certain individual, offering it as a gift. He warns of the nature of the apparent curse, but it seems to be no deterrent. Regardless, he makes a vague sketch of the item, particularly its markings; he resolved to investigate the bracer's origins, at some point.
Now free of the item, he breathes a sigh of relief; though he is wary of the possibility that he is not free of the curse, and the habits spawned by the object were somewhat difficult to shake.

Whoever the new bearer of the bracer might be, would soon find small "accidents" cropping up all around them. It would start off with little things at first; getting smacked in the face by a branch that you could have sworn was higher up, as you walk down a forest trail, or tripping over a loose cobblestone that you had thought you'd actually stepped around, rather than on. Whatever little accidents might present themselves in one's daily activities. Bit by bit the affliction would seem to worsen however. Things like nearly choking on a bit of food that you'd just finished swallowing, somehow getting caught in your throat. Or in battle, as you try to dodge a slash from your opponent, you feel as though you've been pushed from behind, nearly sending you -into- the path of the slash instead. *-*-*-*-* //Whoever has the bracer now, please let me know so I can keep an eye open for you IG to provide specific instances, rather than generic possible examples

During the last few nights in the Tarkuul living quarters, random crashes and noises would emit from a certain room. Those who have been led to Enforcer Scion's room before would know that it was her web-filled room from which the sounds originated. Finally, on the latest night, there is a scream of frustration before a half-armored Scion comes storming out of her room using a rather fancy trident as a walking stick.
Her giant spider companion follows with an obvious limp despite her eight legs. Scion returns properly armored later in the day to converse lowly in a corner with Lieutenant Vosst, staying clear of the living quarters. Finally, she portals away shortly after her spider skitters away in a huff. In the darkness of her seemingly abandoned room sits the bracer atop a table- neatly wrapped in the silk that it had been given to her in.

The bracer was retrieved from that room shortly after the exchange, then very quickly it is brought to a somewhat remote location somewhere in the settlement of L'Obsul. Once the item is secured, Vosst returned to the island and made his way to Guldorand. There, cloaked and masked, he plied Gustav with a number of questions; he asked of the "ancient warriors" interred in the crypt, seeking to know where they had come from, and where their descendents might be... or who would know about the answers to those questions. Before departing, he'd show Gustav his sketch of the markings found on the bracer, asking if they meant anything to him.
