According to the Monster Manual, a magma mephit can shapechange into a pool of lava, which I never knew until I read it just now. But that's it. Do you have some sort of source that hints otherwise?

Nopes, just my curiosity.
I'm asking in regards to a water mephit actually. -although even then it looks like, at best, it just turns into a puddle?
What elemental sorts of creatures, 'do' shapechange?
