The timeline does progress normally in RL time, with a few exceptions and some time-sharing here and there (speed of plot, as you witnessed occurring a bit in the Spineshatter event.) Most canon events will occur, but on a case by case basis with the DM Team determining if something doesn't fit (a certain occurrence two years from now, for example, might be bad.)
For the Item Spawner widget, are we able to request additional items on it for 2 DCs each once recieved or do we require a new one for more items?

Well mainly that the Resist Intimidate check can't really compete with a straight check vs a skill, which can easily be buffed to the +50 limit and maxed out at 33 ranks.

No gods being aspects of compeletely different gods either? woohoo.

Not if you're referring to 4e changes. There's quite a lot of that in 3e too, though. Take a look at the index of aliases at the end of Faiths & Pantheons. It's huge.

Thanks Iron, Yossarin, and others for the timeline information. I am to assume that years on the server correspond to actual years of time, or does it go by server-day etc.

Mercedes, it's pretty much a 1:1 ratio ever since the Cordor Revolution, which we used as the starting point of real time when we did the timeline. So yeah, you can just check the FR date corresponding with the real date and use that.
And what Yossarin said. There's a recent topic with more information (just put the "1382" and General Discussion into the search, and you'll find it) if you care.

In the game there are two NPCs which color a players hair. Does anyone know what the color codes they ask for are? I have checked the forums and the wiki and have not been able to find this answer.

The visual results of spells are visible to other PC's and fall under the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) rule. For example, a spell that causes leaves to whirl around a PC or the stone VFX from Stoneskin actually makes the player look like they have leaves whirling around them or are made of stone.
The two exceptions to this rule are the circulating dots emitted from auras and invisibility. A PC does not see a whirl of red dots orbiting a Blackguard nor are the auras of a Knight Commander visible (though any PC will feel the effects should they enter an aura) just as a character under invisibility that eases too close to another character can be seen by the game engine, however unless your character has True Seeing or See Invisibility enchanted on them they do not see the character. These VFX's are left for ease of game play and are not visible in an In Character sense.
I'm not sure I understand the asking. Quoting a DM post from the official Rules forum is usually the answer to a rules question, not a rules question itself. Why wouldn't it be a rule?

Exactly. It's definitely a rule. And now hopefully the various people who have been completely ignoring the rule will see this and recognise it!
What are the DM's stance on requesting spawn-able Job System workplaces? (Looms, Anvils, Scribe's desks and the like)

And in your request Maias227 beautifully says 10 DCs for a Job System PLC, which was what I was hoping to find out as well Thanks Liz! (Maybe DM confirmation that price is still in stone? <3)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I want install heads for Amia, but they won't show. I renamed override folder to something else, created new one and put all head files in it. But if I try create new character to see if they are working, there are no new heads.
Most of the new heads can't be shown during the character generation process, because of arbitrary hard-coded limitations of the game. If you want one of the newer heads, you need to poke a DM in game, and tell them the head number you want.

How do I access the VFX in the toolset, for reskinning purposes? How would I, say, add the stoneskin effect to a PC model or a badger?
I'm curious about this too.
Not the toolset, but...
Open a private module open the console (the yellow text) type DebugMode 1 then type dm_visualeffect xxx yyy
(replace xxx by the effect number and yyy by the duration)
The various effect numbers are listed under the vfx constants on the lexicon. (Stoneskin is 15, for example)
Browse the lexicon a bit : the other vfx pages on the lexicon show the constant values for the other types of vfx (buffs etc)
Another solution is to download Sunjammer's VFX Browser on the Vault (if/when it is back up). This is a bit less tedious to browse through the vfx, but it won't let you apply a vfx on your badger!

There are a lot of racial pantheon gods introduced in the "Races Of" books, and some of them are pretty interesting. But they're intended to be additions to the D&D pantheon (Pelor, Ehlonna, Hextor, etc.; the ones in the PHB), not the FR pantheon. There's some overlap, especially in the race-specific gods, but the D&D pantheon is not in play on Amia.

For me, just about everything. I can spend days and weeks agonizing over a new char name. It really makes or breaks a char for me, determines whether I'll like it and play it or not.
How do y'all pick names? Any really good generators, or incubators?
I often come up with a char concept based on a char I like in a book or movie. I often dig the name but just can't bring myself to straight-up copy it. And that's where my creativity hits a wall. I can go thru literally hundreds of names before I pick one. I guess like a new parent does.
So any helpful suggestions are appreciated, cuz I have a char ready to go, except for the name....
The only name-generator system I have found to my liking is just a big long list. Whenever in my reading or websurfing or daydreaming or whatever, if I come across a name I like or a word I think would make a good name or that I just like the sound of, I type it into the Excel doc where I keep all my character notes. I have a list of probably two hundred names that I like, all of which suggest different feels or themes to my ear, and when I'm contemplating a new character, I peruse the list and pick one that fits. Sometimes the name I choose subtly alters the way I play the character (i.e., Daisy Goodluck wasn't really intended to be a bit of a scatterbrain until after the name I gave her suggested it to me). This really isn't especially useful to your present purpose, I guess, but I've found it to be an awesome resource, even if it's taken me several years to amass it.

When wearing armour, in the instance of light and medium armour, I understand it says a maximum dexterity level... EG a light armour would be 4 for example and the medium would be 2! So....
Is that relating to how your DEX affects AC? Or am I totally wrong?
Thanks In advance again!

Yep! Also mind that not all the light, medium and heavy armors retain the exact same max dexterity bonus.
I've tried asking this a few times with no response, but here goes again:
Can I give away my DC items? Not widgets or scripted stuff, just magic gear I've bought along the years. I have a bunch on two unplayed characters, and they would probably be more fun if put into circulation.

DC items are "giveable" if you ask about the mechanical side, and they work. Is it okay with DMs - I suppose it depends on the RP. I imagine you CAN give an ancient magical eye of an earthworm to someone who you oath to help, or something like that.
I'm fairly sure there could be some gamebreakingly powerful DC items that have been delicately devised for your character only that would be contraband as a giveaway. But that's so marginal I'm not sure there's actually an example of such.

I think it should be fine as long as it respects the balance terms in each personal character.
Example: X requests a necklace with crazy saves and effects, but no AC. It is a no because X can cast EMA and the lack of AC doesn't affect him. Character Z requests the same thing, but since he's a barbarian with extremely low AC it doesn't go out of balance. Character Z gives requested necklace to character X.
Unless it was specified in the request that you could not, unless it is undroppable, unless it breaks muling rules/etc, then it should be fine. There aren't any rules saying that you cannot do this.
The rule against someone donating more than half of the DC cost of someone else's requested item is... sorta kinda a rule against it? The recipient would be receiving a DC item without paying at least half its DC cost. I agree that the question is worth asking.

Considering some of the DC Items over the years, I'd say case by case basis. Some would be fine, some would not.
Yup. Contact us about if you want to do it. It's not a thing that's come up much (I believe) but we have allowed it in the past - so could in the future if you ask/inquire. As Yossi says, case by case basis!
