So, lately when entering Kohlingen green gardens district and Wharftown, I sporadically will crash. The screen will flicker a few times and then my game will crash, freezing on an empty surface of the map (Devoid of all grass, skyboxes and placeables) I get a gut feeling that any place with a high count of newer, more detailed placeables causes this, but I'm not entirely sure.

I usually have high graphics settings along with shiny water enabled-- so that could easily be part of the problem!

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this or if it's just me.

I can provide additional details as requested if I missed things y'all need!

I believe you are on the right track. Try lowering your graphics quality for a day or two and see if it helps? I am trying to think of what the two places might have in common. Does it make a difference which transition you enter, or does it happen about the same on all of them?

I have problems entering both areas myself, and my graphics are set extremely low. By that I mean they load slow and are very jerky for several seconds after loading, but eventually level off. I don't actually have crashes. They are very large & heavy areas.

I think they both have a large amount of placeables in close quarters, All the houses in The green garden district have extra adornments, and a lot of the scenery is done via placeables, and the same goes for Wharftown.

Usually it doesn't matter where I come in from, but the crashes usually follow if I alt-tab for whatever reason.

I'll try lowering my graphics when I enter the area the next few days and we'll see what that does!

Yes NWN is a old game and they did not plan for modern computers. You can increase the memory size for loading zones which helps a ton with such issues!
