That one got included to in an issue of the Dragon magazine (#236). That is probably the reason for it to not be in our list. Mechanically speaking, it would mean you get no boost from praying. From a lore point of view, I guess it would need a DM ruling about if it is to be included or not. More so given DC levels increase prayer success chance.
I can just make a request, I'm sure. I like the idea of being a Deity of Swordsmanship for the Elves. Would make a really cool Divine Champion in my mind.
(Food) Ingredients merchants are the Job System traders that buy Job System fish. You only get gold, though, not exp. Selling things doesn't tend to be that educational.
People always assumed my character was a gnome, though he's a hin. I've been told it's because of the head I chose for him on creation, which I -thought- was one of the default hin options. Apparently it's the default gnome head and I never knew. It's this one:
Then someone kindly told me that what's odd about it is that halflings aren't supposed to go bald or grey hair. Oops! My mistake about that! I should have had the lore down better before making my character.
My questions are: Is this true? If so, am I able to switch to a new head? What's needed for that, to find the head number and tell a DM? Should I do it if possible?

I thought it was rather obvious that Doro was a hin, and not a proportionally disfigured, lanky armed mutant. You can manually change your head in the character maintenance/leto room attached to the Welcome to Amia room. Follow the directions inside, and use this for head reference numbers.
Most halflings have ruddy skin, dark eyes, and straight black hair, though lighter shades of hair are known in many societies. Males often wear sideburns, though they almost never grow beards or moustaches. All halflings prefer to wear their hair long, often braided or styled in some distinctive way. Their features are more delicate than those of humans, and their ears are elongated and slightly pointed.
Halflings stand about 3 feet tall and usually weigh between 30 and 35 pounds. Their skin is ruddy, their hair black and straight. They have brown or black eyes. Halfling men often have long sideburns, but beards are rare among them and mustaches almost unseen...
They mostly talk about the typical kind of Halfling. Since it says beards are rare, and mustaches almost unseen, you could probably assume your character is just one out of the blue? It doesn't say they can never have this and that. Unless your character shaves on a regular basis to the point he's a baldy or wears a bald cap. Sure!

Ulrik had tons of halfling love-children. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

On the left side there is a list for Heads, Hair, and Other Lists, however it does not list portraits. Is there any way to easily find out the portrait numbers for the maintenance room? Likewise I am curious about the skin color list? Is there a NPC who will paint people different colors?

What factors govern mythal drops? When I first rolled my char creatures were throwing the minor and lesser ones at me but lately things have been few and far. Am I not running the areas or tapping the right creatures?

In my experience, it's just luck. The mythals fall when they fall. The factor is a dice roll, just like standard loot. I believe it has its own unique dice roll too. So it doesn't fall under standard loot. You can sometimes get both loots, if you're lucky.

So I need to run areas that have a higher or denser monster spawning to increase the chance of finding them? I assume then that the mythral type is linked to the monster/area level then so the easier spawns like the goblins provide minor ones seemingly more frequently due to their denser spawning pattern?

Mythal size is definitely correlated (likely identical) to the "loot bin". (Loot bins are often classified by the +1..4 on weapons and armours most commonly dropped. Biggest spawns drop +4 stuff from the +4 loot bin, goblins would be +1 bin, though I'm not exactly sure if it's just one +1 bin these days. Real bosses are one bin higher than their surroundings, giving access to the +5 epic bin as well, random bosses are just a guaranteed drop from their usual loot bin.)
And despite the RNG being wonky, I think Tormak had a typo there ... 0.5% seems much more realistic to me.

Sure, the more mobs you find, the better your chances at getting a mythal. It's still 5%, as Tormak pointed out. Also, it's not the amount of spawns, it's the CL of what you're hunting. The higher the CL of the hunting area, the larger the mythal that will be dropped.

Nope, is definitely 5%....

Every time you kill a mob, any mob, there's a few rolls that are made:
1) 5% chance for loot (+1% for every additional PC in the party) OR 5% chance for an epic (epic bosses only, obviously) 2) 5% chance for a mythal (flat, no bonus for more people, mythal type depends on lootbin for the area) 3) 5% chance for a deity ring 4) 5% chance for a crafting item (empty potion bottle, scroll, wand, light gem, etc)
So if you pray real hard to RNGesus you could get 4 drops (most I have ever seen is three and that was only once, loot, mythal, deity ring). Also, flawless mythals are part of the mythal roll but only can be received when you are fighting a boss so you can potentially get a flawless and epic item.
I could be wrong on some of this, but this is how it was always explained to me

When I kill stuff for a good while, I come back with, say, 2 chests full of loot, so maybe 15 items after having killed 300 npcs. I'm sure a lot of people have done that.
However, I do not come back with 15 greater mythals. I'm sure I would have noticed them. I also do not come back with 15 deity rings and 15 craftables. (Or slightly fewer than that due to minibosses.)
But you keep telling me that they all drop at the same rate, and that's simply not the case. Even RNGesus cannot explain why only the 5% rolls for loot works, while the other 5% rolls are completely broken.
I'm sorry to sound annoyed, but your numbers are simply wrong.
(I'm not saying that you can't write a broken algorithm that somewhere contains four different 5% rolls and matches Amian results, but it's certainly not the algorithm you are describing ....)
Regards Ts
Ps: I don't care if the percentage is public, and it's easy enough to just kill 1000 goblins and take the average.
While in game (on a PC you dont want stored away) type the following commands into the shout channel;
f_file store charactername
To retrieve a PC from the archive; f_file restore charactername
To view PCs in your archive; f_file show archive
But Im really sure, I won't play with some characters (Just made them in beginning of my journey on Amia). Can I anyhow permanently delete some characters?

You cannot permanently delete a character. However with the playertool function ( "/s f_playertools") you can rename the files for easy management (adding ZZZ before each name for example). If it is truly an issue you can request the characters to be moved to a different account (see requests forum). Do keep in mind this adds an extra workloak on the DM Team and the first option pretty much solves the problem.

Quick question, can a scroll be counterspelled?
Nope. It works just like a spell cast from any other item.

There's no way that's a 5% chance. 0.5% maybe.
Just today I ran multiple complete areas: Trolls from beginning to the end. Shekats twice inside and outside, Skull Crags Beetles, and the entire Brigand Lair. Loot? Maybe 30 items. One Bone Wand. Zero Mythals.
I think it's Loot 5%, Crafting 0.5%, and Mythals 0.5%. Otherwise the data accumulated over years makes no sense.

Yeah we discovered it was way off. Hilariously, everyone has always thought it was a 5% chance, but I guess no one really bothered to look haha.

Does that mean there might be an increase in the current rate then...?

With dragon disciples, how do DMs verify, that your character fits the lore of specific dragon?
Quote:
Note that a DM does not have to grant this perk, especially if a PC wildly differs from the established canon details of that dragon type or is not within one-step of their dragon type's alignment.
Canon details... do you prove it by logs, or just by description of character concept and main character points? Cause I can't imagine DMs actually knowing every character on server.

Just asking, and checking their alignment, normally. In my case anyways. If you fall within one step of the color you ask me for I'll likely give it to you,

Is there any piece of gear besides the Mantle of Stealth that provides a bonus larger than +5 to hide and/or move silently? The Maskarran Regalia doesn't, I don't think, and it also doesn't fit for what I'm trying to do.
If not, is there any spell a cleric might get that increases either Hide or MS? Or are those ranger and druid only?
Admittedly that is a good answer, but unfortunately my cleric does not have that as a domain ^^;
I hope there's some gear out there that helps with hide/ms though, more than mythalling would help anyway. I fear that the Mantle of Stealth might be the only one...
I don't know what's in the SD store, but there are items with +10 Move Silent (not hide) in regular shops/loot. And Camo and maybe Mass Camo can be found as casts per day on items.
