Our Hobgoblin visitors have been extremely violent and threatening, and are to be treated as any other "at-war" enemy. Give them a warning, and forefully move them if they do not leave. And do not hesitate to slay them in the process. They're not guests, or reasonable. They're monsters, and they need to die.

On a large discolored oak leaf, the following message is imprinted

The Oak Fathers Blessings,

I just came back from a patrol with my friends Din Dae and Blizzard. We ran into a Dwarf, an Orc, and a Human who had undead with them in the forest of dispear, near the mushroom. I asked them a few times to unsummon them but they refused. I took a few steps back and was about to ask one last time when we were attacked. I quickly shifted into a dragon form and was able to kill the Dwarf and Orc. The human got away but came back soon after with a large group of creatures. Balors, and the like. I was able to kill the human but he was quickly brought back to life and I had to make a run for it. There was about 8 of them and only the three of us. We were able to get away. Keep a look out for this trio and their undead slaves.

Willow Maynare
Druid of the Oak Father
From the Oakmist Vale

A drawing on a other oak leaf has the drawings of 4 people, a Dwarf, a Human, an Orc, and a Kobold. The colors of what they wear very much so depict who shes talking about even if the drawing itself isn't amazing. One could figure out the these men are Cragg Gritgut, Hedda Fatebreaker, Armand Boreon, and Snot if you have met them before or run into them.

This notice is posted in the Town Hall, in crude handwriting obviously not Lyle's, except for the portion in red ink at the bottom

“Needs help from peoples who wants do anystuffs for golds. No ask kwestions. Task be super big deal. If yous help, you gets 50,000 gold pieces. Needs lots peoples. No goodygoody types. You wants help, find Flargs. We nugoshyate *crossed out* naggosheeit *crossed out* talks with you bout what you gots do. NO ASK KWESTIONS!”

At the bottom, a large, crudely drawn backwards “F” is written in blood.

Flargs are hobgoblins who were spotted scouting out the Dale the other day. Kill them without delay. If you catch them outside of Bendir Dale, fellow hin, either capture them and beat them for information, or outright kill them. Whether or not you give them an honorable burial is your decision.

A few of the older, no longer applicaple posts are removed to clean up spaces, and one more is added:

Lady Mynna (a tall-folk woman, who wears a winged helmet, and a great axe) will be staying with us for a few days, to watch for Flargs, as well as another recent event. Treat her like you would any other guest.

There is some sort of blackguard, or devilish creature who tried to attack Bendir Dale with a weak regiment of fire giants. While the fire giants are easily slain, the blackguards themselves are difficult, and shouldn't be taken on alone. We slayed one, and the other one managed to get away, after saying he underestimated Bendir Dale. That's the way.

Keep a close watch for any strange occurences like that. And as always, keep patrolling. In particular, I'd like to run more patrols out to the Bramble Woods, in search of Flargs.

The Roster is updated. Also, this notice is added:

The Flargs were defeated in combat on the hills surrounding Bendir Dale. Participants included Sally Torrowfire, Connor o'Riley, Tommi Twinkney, and Captain Lyle Torrowfire.

Gok (The most docile of the group) tried to bluff Lyle into believe that the Flargs would come in peace. To be fair, we attacked first. Lyle smote Gok where he stood, and led the charge up the hill. Tommi disabled Nak with a bigby, while the others took down Dur. Afterwards, the bodies were brought back to Cordor where they could possibly find healers. Nak was raised, and demoralized. I doubt they will attack again, though my grasp on the goblinoid languages is subpar at best. Be on guard, just in case they haven't learned their lesson. Also, the woman who they were sighted with, the mage, may go by the name "Rhalia Cain", as this was the name Nak gave under pressure. Be on guard around them, but for now they are not worthy of our wrath.

Lyle scored the killing blow on Gok.

Lyle scored the killing blow on Nak.

Someone scored the killing blow on Dur. (Please claim responsibility.

Well done, but don't think they can be trusted yet. And be wary of the Cain person.

Also, until Mayor Nof or the council overule me, I believe that the sale (not the usage) of pipe herbs illegal in Cordor should not be allowed. Usage is still okay.

A small notice is tacked up:

Our friend War-knight Kas'udi, an elf, seems to have gone out of her mind. Please approach her with caution, and gently try to steer her out should she act odd. If she unsheathes her weapon, act accordingly.

If possible, take her out from a distance if it comes to combat. Unless you're extraordinarily hardy, don't fight her toe-to-toe.

On a large discolored oak leaf, the following message is imprinted:

To all fellow hin and friends of nature,
I have some bad news to report on. Yesterday I was preparing to go out on patrol and was on my way to Bendir Dale when I spotted an undead creature, a wraith, near the eastern bridge. I began to prepare myself for possible hostility. I then saw a large male of a Half-Orc build dressed in brown, grays, and red. He had a sword with a sonic enchantment. I asked him to unsummon the undead and he said no and walked into the forest. I followed him and asked him a few more times. I then gave him one last warning and he attacked. I tried to polymorph into a red dragon but he hit me hard and I fell. It turns out that Mr. Valas, a Ranger of our grove, was walking by and saw me laying there. He can tell you more of what happened between this man and himself. A day later, I was traveling to the Vale from the Dale to write up this report when I found him in the forest, yet again! I waisted no time in polymorphing into a red dragon. He spotted me and charged with no exchange of words. I was able to take him down that second time with the help of an Elven women and Keelie, a fey friend. This second event took place just moments ago as I write this. Keep your eyes out and do not approach this person alone, hes very strong and dangerous. On the leaf below I've left a detailed drawing of the person in question.

The Oak Father bless you all,

Willow Maynare

Another large oak leaf below the first has a decent drawing of the person, with great detail in color. Those who know or come across this man would more than likely make the connection and know its Godush Turd

not one for tons of details, Nina files the report as thus
Name: Nina Thorrow
Position: Mage Guard
Location: Just outside the walls.
Allied Participants: A bunch of us and Keelie too!
Enemy Participants: A nutty mage named Weather Vayne and some old guy.
Summary of Events: We stopped a wizard's plans to mes up our sunny weather. But in the end he got away thanks to a bumbling old man.
Allied Casualties: None
Kills: I think Willow's wolf tore the old man's jugular. He was brought back to life by Jayek though so I donno if that counts as a kill.

In a large discolored oak leaf, the following message is imprinted
To all who oppose undeath,

Recently the settlement of Nes'ek was put in jeopardy. Clouds have engulfed the lands preventing the sun from shedding its light over the lands. The Morningcrystal, which keeps the undead in check, is losing strength because of this. I attempted to part the clouds but it proved to be too difficult. I call upon you all to help the people of the Morninglord. We need to stand together against this threat to these lands and to the balance it self. Get in contact with a clergy member of the Morninglord or myself so that we can organize a plan of action. May Oak Father guide us all to victory against undeath!

A note is added to the board.

My fellow Bendir Dale residents:

Due to some unfortunate actions, we are currently hostile with Qirlan. Don't attack him, don't hunt him, and certainly don't be hostile toward him. A letter recently reached me that one of our locals fought him and lost. By association, he has decided to declare war on Bendir Dale, apparently, and thinks we sent drow assassins after him. I know, paranoia and all.

Any ways, if any of you more wandering hin happen upon Qirlan, please inform him that the offender will be disciplined for the action, and that Bendir Dale doesn't want another conflict on its hands. And that we don't deal in mercenaries of any race.

A letter arrives care of the messengers for the Bendir Dale militia.

To whom this letter may concern,

A'fau'thond of the Talas'Tel'Ahk sends this letter in hopes that when it arrives it finds thy settlement at peace.

Would it be that i could dally fullsomely on the esteem in which i hold thy race and settlement therein, yet time that eternal foe and ally seems against me. I enquire with respect as to the possibility of a meeting regarding events taking place on the Nes'ek frontier.

Your response would be appreciated, though let it be known that i do not come to beg for aid or for thee or thy brethren to step into crusades fold. I make the request out of political nescessity, thy village being at a nexus for trade and travel to the reaches of the skull crags is providence enough for a meeting.

Yours sincerely
A'fau'thond
Yew Limb of the Talas'Tel'Ahk on behalf of those who sacrifice on the Nes'ek frontier.

This notice is posted, along with a letter ((posted above)):

Hobgoblins crushed, Banites routed, mylocks bruised and demons defeated - all of these are among our best and greatest accomplishments to keep Bendir Dale safe. As we are not under immediate threat from any other factions, I believe it is time for us, as Bendir Dale's Fist, to offer aid as one force to the Nes'ek Defenders. I will be personally venturing to Nes'ek to meet with already established forces up there and gather what I can from them.

Most needed, I would assume, would be clerics and mages. I won't lie, part of my motivation is that if the sun cannot be seen, neither can Sélune shine on the deserts. However, part of this is to aid the same people who have come to our aid many times, as well as helping to stem the evil before it reaches Bendir Dale. And, of course, it is what any goodly god or goddess would want us to do.

Once I have formally met with commanders up there, I will elaborate more. Until then, just offer aid as you can, whether through healing, cooking, or just good old arms.

It's time again to show the might of hinkind.

A short notice is added up.

Our alliance with the elves of Winya Ravana is reestablished. However, it is only in times of war against enemies stronger than ourselves. I highly recommend treating them with cold respect, and reporting it to me if they don't do the same.

Okra's notice is removed, and replaced with the following:

A band of ruffians have decided to camp along the mushrooms in Brogendenstein and charge coin for passage. Do this instead:

Go to South Cordor and take the ship to Barak Runedar. Cut through the town, and go NORTH. From there, you can go WEST to the waste, or NORTH, which will let you cut through the barbarian lands and eventually reach the giants, or the orcs after the giants. Don't leave the forest if you go hunting orcs.

As well, word has reached me that Banites - unable to learn their lessons, I suppose - have decided to take the Skull Crags again. It is HIGHLY recommended no one go there until we can make a decision on how to respond, and certainly do not go there looking for a fight in the name of the Dale.

To Okra: Please meet with me so we can coordinate the militia and Fist response to this.

Posted on the board, a bloody handprint in the corner.

Mog: Blue clothed, gnome, large shield, kukri. Very sneaky and sly.

Criminal 1: Tiefling in black armor, and red skin. Scimitar, towershield. Very muscular and strong.

These two fools attacked Bendir Dale, and were supposedly trying to rob people. In our own gates! If they show their ugly mugs in Bendir Dale again, kill them and throw their bodies to the wolves. Mog is likely to attack and cheat in a fight. The other one is very strong. Be very careful

Squeezed in on the bottom...

Battle report to be filed later.

Summary of Events: I arrived to find the town in combat, and was attacked almost instantly by Mog. Soon, Criminal no. 1 attacked as well. Tommi was supposedly raised at some point after being killed. We managed to kill the two of them. Tommi was instrumental in disabling.

This note is placed near the previous Banite warning.

The Banites were unable to wrap their troglodyte minds around the fact that the Skull Crags are free land. I believe the best way to deal with this new threat is the same way we did the previous one: Organized patrols.

* Any patrols through the Skull Crags must consist of at least three hin, one of them preferably a cleric or mage.

* Have as many magical protections and enchantments on you as possible.

* Carry around several Lenses of Detection to help pin point trap locations so we can avoid unnecessary detection or casualties. Also carry around Lanterns of Invisibilty Purging.

The often red-clothed elf that goes by Moon has been granted asylum in Bendir Dale as long as he does not harm or mess with any hin.

If he does something to a hin, it should be reported directly to Swift and she will personally take care of him.

An imprinted oak leaf is left on the Fists board.

I'm very sorry for everything, you were all right. It happened again and I hurt people and animals... I'm getting help, I've seen the Salandrians already. I hope you all can forgive me for being so hard headed and not listening. I was becoming something I was and never want to be again... I don't want to be full of hate and rage... and anger... I want to be me. Anyway... Thank you all for trying to help me and I hope we can still be friends.

The Oakfather bless the Dale always,

Field Report:

A Drow and a mage were seen sneaking about with a dominated mountain giant within our town walls. I gave chase and held the Drow, only to be attacked by the mage and held in place. Once her spell wore off I pursued and threw a hell ball after them. I believe that should at least make them think twice bout pulling that sorta stuff again.

* This note is left with the receptionist in the town hall, it is addressed to Lyle or Swift . It is written in a very fast manor *

From what people tell me the Malarite responsible for the deaths of the 3 druids in Bendir Dale, near the wolf pack, wears fur and pelts. He carries axes and is not seen slipping through Shadows. Tjorn would have a full report, as he did battle with the Malarite in amia forest. Unfortunetly I arrived too late and could not be of assistance. After the mishap, a few Dwarves from the Silverbeard family lent the Dale aid and helped us watch over the guests and citizens. No more recent attacks after the forest. The Dale itself was never attacked. But people on its land were... The gaurds were notified. I must go. I have to keep patrol.

*believing a report on this to have been made by Nina Thorrow, Sally checks the Fist board, and finding nothing there, enquires of Cindle the Receptionist.

Learning there is a note left thats addressed to Lyle or Swift, Sally eventually manages to persuade Cindle to let her see it too*

//had to follow this up as there was much discussion in-game over it.

*a continuum is added to the first report*

The mage has been identified as Pannika. I suggest a full ban of her from Bendir Dale after hearing her spout about how she enjoys taking the non-Llothite Drows from near the Dale and saying how 'incompetent' we are in the Merchant Hall of Cordor, in front of me no less! The Drow has been seen consistently raiding our territory. The guards have been alerted and I expect that we will see less of them in the following weeks.
*includes a minimally enchanted image of both Pannika and Tana*

A Detailed report is posted up within Bendir.

Tjorn took the fight to the enemy, alas were I beaten by a Malarite prepared whilst i was not. He growled a few times at me and his cat one of Malars type did proceed to assault me as my guard was down.

This one can be identified easily enough by the fact he snarls and grunts like an animal and will ne'er speak to thee in words. The cat at his side is of Malars origin.

The fellow wields an axe, and bears many enchantments, truth known it felt as if the life were being drained from me, an Aura of Despair it seems surrounded this one.

One should note that I did not make any hostile gestures or moves, merely speaking "So you are the one i seek i think", to which I got no answer except the aforementioned snarls.

This one is weak and a single mage would tear him down, as even though he caught me by surprise with nae enchantments up to speak of, i came within a whisker of felling both him and his cat whose enchantments were manifold and diverse. Alas it were not to be and i fell upon the loam within the forest just north of the Dale.

The report ends with a sketch of Maveks armor and one of his highly recognisable cat.

Last night there was apparently a battle between grove Druids and a Malarite just east of town near the bridge. The Malarite seems to have been the aggressor. All three druids were slain. The witnesses I spoke to claimed they saw a man wearing pelts and being followed by a red cat. This Malarite also slew one of the Dwarven residents of the dale, Tjorn, within the Amian woods. I alerted the guards and they should be on higher alert than before. Malar reaching his greedy little paws near the Dale is a step too far.

Willow leaves the piece of hide tacked to the Fist board along with her own note which is imprinted on an oak leaf, as always.

I found this just out side of the outskirts, near the forest.

An untanned hide, one side still matted with fur, is nailed to the trunk of a healthy oak just before the Dale's land turns into Amia Forest. Upon its leathery surface is a note, written in simple hand - neither elegant nor crude - the ink of choice being some scarlet ichor of sorts. It reads as follows:

"When a doe is threatened, it cowers. When a bear is threatened, it fights. As long as the druids of the Grove bring lightning down from the sky, attacking the Pard on the land of the smallfolk, the Pard shall bring its own thunder in kind. The Beast Lord will not cringe in the face of a druid's threats, nor will he cease in his slayings as long as he is not given rest in lands he has no qualms with.

As for the dwarvenkind - you cannot hunt the hunter, even with your heavy magicks."

Below the writing is what looks to be a simplistic sign, possibly painted on with a fingertip: a man's hand with beast's claws, all the color of blood.

//I'd forgotten I'd read the above about the Mountain Giant. This is beyond the pale.....doing this kind of metagaming nonsense without a DM, or posting anything on the boards should be stomped on with some force. Taking other behavior into consideration too, I really think every issue needs compiling into a list to pass to the DM's for the main perpetrator to get his sorry arse banned from the Server.

NOT happy.

Sir Lyle,

I regret to inform you that following an unprovoked attack upon my shade companion earlier this day I shall no longer be accepting students from the Dale.
One would have expected a member of the Fist to know the difference between a dancer's companion and an undead. It is apparent that none of the dancers currently resident in the Dale have made this difference clear to your guards. Until this oversight is rectified I do not feel able to give instruction to any more Dale residents.
This decision may change should I receive an apology from those involved.

With respect,
Marianne Danodel.
Instructor.
Three Steps Academy.

* This note is left in the town hall for all to see, a note on top of it reads * - Do not remove from the town hall untill Sir Lyle has read this -

I was woken this morning to shouting coming from the square. By the time I got dressed and made it outside, the shouting was coming from outside the front gate. When I went out there I found 3 elves from Winya and a Half-Dragon, maybe half human? He had Blue skin, wings, and a human looking face. I saw one of the elves captured in a giant green hand, I am assuming was the Blue skinned man's work. When I got out to the road I was told the full story. It goes such as this.

The elves side :

They claim they were "checking out" our establishment when they noticed the "Half-Blood" According to the Elves, the blue skin man took great offense to the term "Half-Blood" The Elves then claim that the blue skinned man Threatened them and acted in force preventing them from leaving town. The elves say he flung spells at one of the elves , binding her to a spot. He then continued to provoke her, wanting her to fight him

The man with the blue skin side :

He claims they threatened him, saying he would be hunted. He took offense by this. He says nothing but words happen in the square. No one argued differently. He also says Sally knows him, and he will be in the outskirts of Cordor. *- I am assuming waiting for Sally?

My take on all this -

The Blue skin man continued to provoke the elves, even when I was standing there. He claims he didnt break any laws because he used his spells outside the gates. Well our children still go outside the gates. Our citizens go outside the gates. I asked them all to leave untill the authorities settle this. They all did so respectfully, so to speak.. Also, to Sir Lyle, one of the elves claims to be on the Winya Council and they(The Council) wish to speak with you ASAP.

This ends my report.

Irunae, a elven woman, was attacked just south of the town gate, allegedly by a Drow. When I ventured out, both the Drow in question and herself were accusing the other of starting the argument. As it seemed racially heated I did my best to send the Drow on his way. He did not bear any markings that would link him to Cordor or the Shrine but denied worship of Lloth and claimed to disdain Spider~Kissers. In any case, miss Irunae has informed me that some Spider kissers are gallivanting as Ellistraens, complete with a symbol, on the bridge East of town. I have informed Tu'jol. Hopefully we might work together to figure out who is doing so and how they are finding spare symbols of Ellistrae and figure out a way to keep them from fooling our guards.

Also after asking politely that a few of our dancer friends leave their summoned shades outside, they brought them in anyways so I threw the shades out. I have no issues with the dancers them selves other than they ignored a member of the Fist whilst in Bendir Dale. I am sorely disappointed in them for flat out ignoring the request and for things occurring the way that they did. They kept telling me I had no grounds for such a request because Shades are not undead, how observant of them, and that we 'apparently' have no rules to support common sense and that the Hin of Bendir have zero feel for public decency. On the contrary however, I know the difference between Undead and Supernatural/Extra Planar beings and attempted to share with them that I have no issue with the supernatural and have a healthy fear of Shades following the events with Swift, but if we aren't in the midst of combat, like all other 'scary' or 'disturbing' summons, they are to be left outside the gates. It is our job to enforce, not to be told what to do by guests in our town. None of us are above the law and I did as I saw fit to solve the issue.

~Nina

((also to note there was a lot of OOC chit chat that was then pulled into IC about how half our rules aren't on the board so people don't have to follow them. We really need to have the sign edited with an address to this post so that folks stop saying us in the Fist are making stuff up to be cruel or limit RP. Top Priority.
