We don't host the wiki, it's maintained by a player who no longer plays here, heh.

I have the same problem when i use Internet Explorer, works fine when i use firefox though.

Can't get it working either, have anyone alerted Shatuga to the problem? Someone who have him on their msn list or some such.

he doesn't log in MSN that much but I will keep an eye open

what about asking someone else to host it? I heard that frey might be willing to do so.

i use firefox aswell, IE is asking for viruses. well it works off times but its broke imo.

Shatuga has told me he doesn't mind hosting the wiki. Appears to be a DNS problem if some can access it and some cannot.

Could try repairing your connection, if you're on Windows XP, right click your connection at the bottom and click "Disable and repair", or something similar.

I checked out wikia.com as a possible new host for the Amia wiki. As it turns out, someone already made it and started to copy and past some of the stuff, it just never got finished it seems. I think it's the perfect solution. Why don't we, those of us who actually like and use the wiki, start the long and horrible process that is copying and pasting onto there?

...I created the wikia.com wiki 2½ years ago, before Shatuga stepped in as a voluntary host. The Wikia boss Angela Beesley herself refused to remove it (http://amia.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Vegan) from wikia.com
If Shatuga can't host it anymore I've got the means to take over, there's no risk of it vanishing.

I think it's best that we move it to Wikia personally. It won't go down, it's very reliable, we won't have to bother a player that doesn't play on Amia anymore whenever there's a problem. It's win win.

The only thing is the copy and pasting. I'd volunteer time to do a large portion of it. I know a bit about Wikis

Much of MediaWiki customization is done within the actual PHP files, moving to Wikia would take control over this away from us. We would be subject to their ToS and advertisements. Once again, a 3rd party host is unlikely.
