29/1 Will give you 3 APR. BUT if you give yourself some decent (18 by end) Charisma, that's not a thing. Also, with Divine Favor and Divine Power your AB will be plenty decent.

Yeah we can. Switch it with Blind fight instead since you do not get the extra feat at level 1. Edit - http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=other.detail&id=856 Downloaded it here. Remember that it does NOT take into account amias CLass changes

Fuligar If you really want an AWESOME archer, you shouldn't use Cleric. Take a gander on the two builds below, I made them for a friend long ago. http://imageshack.us/a/img849/2407/csbx.png Monk 10/Wizard 1/19 Arcane archer Hits around 59 AC. 35-40 Fortitude and 55 AB With MAX DEX (57 with AID/BLESS) Improved evasion and monk speed here. http://imageshack.us/a/img708/6318/bd67.png Fighter 10/Bard 2/Arcane archer 18 Has UMD. Has 54AC. 35-40 Fortitude. 57 AB with MAX DEX (59 With AId/BLESS) Epic Weapon Specialization and epic weapon focus in two weapons (Rapier and Longbow. Very elfish!)

He also invented NWN, ask him he'll tell you Yes, as a matter of fact i did. Neverwinter Nights was my second third-person role-playing video game developed by my mother company BioWare and published by Atari. Interplay Entertainment was originally set to publish the game, but financial difficulties, as in me drinking away all the money, led to a change of publisher. It was released on Microsoft Windows on June 18, 2002 (Yet originally i wanted to release it a year earlier but dogs and homework you know...). BioWare, My company here again, later released a free Linux client in June 2003, requiring a purchased copy of the game to play. Yes. I know what you are all thinking - Stupid rotten linux. But i had to appeal to the masses right?

A question about epic spells. Which ones are useful here besides Mummy Dust? I am making a pure sorcerer and have 4 epic feats after I take ESF:Necro, MD, and a grt Cha. I can take two epic spells and autoquick I & II (my original plan), 4 epic spells, or more CHA. I was originally thinking Hellball and EMA, but I don't know how good those are here, would I be better off taking Greater Ruin or Dragon Knight, and is autoquick useful here? (I have always taken it on casters in the past, primarily for PvP.)
Thanks for any help.

Epic Mage Armor is great, almost to great with our server balance and Tensers but what can you do!
Hellball is meh for me, Epic Spell Focus Evocation basically does the same thing with a couple of Meteors.
Greater Ruin is the best bet in my book, single target but it burns through undead/constructs if you have the correct page BoT'd.

Thanks for any help. With the preponderance of haste you can get, you really don't need autoquicken.

That Monk/AA build has no Rapid Shot. You can probably still get that from an item, but it's somewhat limiting i would say.

Shifters! SHIFTERS! SHIFTERS! I call upon thee!
I am attempting to make a shifter but I can't find out much information regarding many things. If anyone would be so kind as to attempt to answer my questions, I'd be quite grateful.
1) Do Shifters get any bonus AC for having Heavy armor over Light armor? (I've noticed Wyrmling doesn't) 1.2) If they do! What should I do with my 5 remaining pre-20 levels. I was thinking either 5 Fighter and picking up some feats for Schytes. (Risen lord). Any other ideas for the feats?
2) Are Spectres as tanky as I think they are? (Much Dex AC, Invisibility) 3) Why does everyone avoid Dragon Shape like the plague? Do they get the Shifter AC? I've read somewhere that they don't. Why are they so atrociously bad that everyone avoids them? Are they that useless? How can 48 Strength be that bad? 5) Can shapes (Outsider, Undead, Construct, Dragon) be taken on a General Epic Feat? (21,24,27,30) edit: 6) Do I get the AC from Shield? (If +2, then for large shield one should get +4 AC in a form)
Anyone keen enough to share their experiences with me so that I may avoid a potential pitfall? I was thinking about taking Undead Shape at L21, then forcing Great Wisdom, then Dragon Form at 30.
Overall, any experience what so ever would mean the world to me, because the information regarding shifter mechanics is quite concealed from the needy eyes.

1. Not sure. 1.2. Summon Cory, he knows how to build a mean Risen Lord shifter. 2. Tanky? Sort of but I wouldn't call it a tank. Emulated SD with no crits able to land on it? Yes. 3. AFAIK the stats are bad compared to other shapes, with only some of the items merging, the need for G. Wis is annoying as well. A Dragon Shape's size is also incredibly annoying for a lost of narrow dungeons. 5.(?) Yes. 6. AFAIK only the enchantment bonus is added, not the base, but this is the same answer as 1.

Thanks you two! I've read all the info I could gather on the forums. I even started with the modified classes/feats. But this tidbit regarding armor is not mentioned anywhere.
If anyone has any input regarding Shifters getting any bonus AC for having Heavy armor over Light armor, and shields, I'd be very thankful.

The base armor of shifters doesn't has an effect, once they shift. So there's no difference in Heavy Armor or Cloth Armor, all that is taken into account is the Armor modifier. So you'll be largely okay in forms using cloth armor for more lightweight options. But once you unshift, you'll be much more vulnerable.
I used Cloth armor, however.

I had this weird idea for a Monk/Ranger. Idea is for an unarmed focused char with ranged ability.
Ranger(18), Monk(11), Rogue(1), Human STR: 13 DEX: 17 (24) CON: 12 WIS: 14 INT: 10 CHA: 8
Skills: Discipline 33(34), Heal 15(17), Hide 33(40), Move Silently 33(40), Tumble 30(37), UMD 25(24)
Feats so far: WF: Longbow, Blind Fight, WF: Unarmed, IC: Unarmed, EWF: Unarmed, Armor Skin
Currently 4 regular and 2 epic feats free. I tossed in Toughness/Epic Fort/Epic Prow for giggles.
Ideas? It's a weird build, yeah, but I'm known for thinking of them haha. The nice thing is that the Ranger WIS has synergy with Monk levels, so AC is pretty stacked. Lack of Epic Dodge is a bummer, though, but speed boost is handy as well.

Why the odd level distribution? I'd probably just recommend 21 Ranger/9 Monk. Not sure of BoE could be taken with only 20 Ranger levels. But if it can, and you still want UMD, that could be an option.
I'm not sure what 11 monk gets, but I know that 18 Ranger isn't nearly as solid as 21. So with some simple build working, you could probably even it out. High AC/High AB character, with decent movement bonuses.

Yeah the 11 monk was for ... something. Perhaps I meant 10 Monk for the +2 ac to take advantage of Amia and having 14 WIS. More Ranger is always good, but was trying to squeeze in the Monk stuff. Of course, the Rogue level is not really needed, so 21/9 is pretty viable for the character concept as well.
Any ideas on feats? I figured going EWF in both Unarmed and Longbow would be a bit much, haha. Same with IC on both.

The offense will be significantly stronger in ranged combat, and if you want an unarmed angle as well, you'll want 16 monk so you get the 1d20 damage. 16/3/11 Monk/Wizard/AA should get solid melee and ranged combat. (8/2/10 Pre-epic for the better BAB) Pre-epic(7): Martial (If half-elf), WF Unarmed, WF Longbow, Pt Blank Shot, Weapon Finesse, IMPR Crit Unarmed, Blind Fight Epic(4): EWF Unarmed, Armor Skin, Epic Prowess, G-Dex 1 AB should be solid for unarmed and high for ranged even without epic weapon focus.

True, I thought of AA as well. Kinda liked the Ranger aspect, but that was just the initial idea of combining ranger Ranger with Monk. Going AA makes more sense.
Orrrrr there's 16 monk/1 wizard/13 AA. Get's +7 arrows and you only need 1 Wiz anyways.

Howdy,
I am looking at replacing my helmet, which gives +10 discipline, with one that gives 5 Bludgeon resistance. How much discipline is it recommended I keep? is the trade word it?

As soon as you take AA, there is absolutely no point in even thinking about melee weapons or dropping gloves and getting into a fist fight simply because you're glove slot will need to be switched constantly. You will say "I'll use both melee and ranged" now, but by the time the build hits thirty you will be wondering why the hell aren't I more optimized for the Bow since it's doing more DPS than my fists and because my AC is sitting in the mid 60's those AoO's really aren't a problem. Hell I've got 9 or 10 levels of monk and can run away from everything anyway, except for other monks. . .who I couldn't run away from even if I tried because they are more focused on Monk than I am. Why the fuck did I listen to Kobra and go 16 Monk, what am I doing with my life. You will then have a spiritual awakening, realize that you really like Pigeons, possible open a pigeon farm and become a world famous pigeon racer. . .but no one cares because it's hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by pelicans and the Irish. Those Irish people will point you in the direction of those local travelling folk, and you'll join their merry band, cavorting across 'Murica with your pigeon show, and turning tricks for real money under a turn style on 52nd and broadway, in that year Boston will hit a quadrafecta taking out the Stanley Cup, World Series, NBA championship and the Superbowl. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as a young man and tell kobra that he may take your life, but he'll never take your freedom.

Max movement speed calculation for monks is 300% + Monk Move Speed.
An opposing monk with 10% more move speed due to higher levels can sink 6 expeditious retreat potions and make the catch.

Heya! I'm deciding to focus myself on a single character and I have a concept in mind I want to execute.
I'm making a Priest/ess of Salandra. I want it to be healing focused for both RP and PvP/E, so I'll be taking the Healing domain for starters. My issue is finding a suitable 2nd domain out of: Balance Community Healing Good Protection Renewal, so any help with that would be nice.
I'm going 25 Cleric/5 KC for starters, taking EMD (Any epic Conj summon). But issues are as followed:
1. What's a good 2nd domain both for pray, spells and abilities? 2. Out of the epic Conj summons, which work well for what?
Thanks!

From what I remember Uce saying 70 if you're a nonce, 80 is safety, 90 means never having to say your sorry. Feferi wrote: Heya! Thanks! 1. Community: with healing you get mass heals at level 6, 7, 8. Alternately renewal if you want to get Greater Restorations early. 2. Don't know what you mean by Epic Conjuration Summons exactly, but I reckon you mean the Epic Mummy Dust summons right? Take whatever suits the character once you get to the appropriate level. Maybe your character needs the and strength of a Geared Guardian to set up triage stations during times of crisis! Or maybe the Arcadian Avenger is more his/her style, needing that body guard to protect him/her in a warzone!

Curse song counters curse song! But, fair enough. I'll stick with my current helmet.

So for giggles I want to make a rogue-focused char; essentially a master thief with a silver tongue. Initial thoughts are 24 rogue/6 fighter. That's basically to pack in EWS and a bonus epic feat as well as 4 APR. Dual-wielding, of course. Here's the basic outline, and I've not tried this before:
Rogue(24), Fighter(6), Human
STR: 11 DEX: 17 (26) CON: 10 WIS: 10 INT: 14 CHA: 12
01: Rogue(1): Ambidexterity, Two-Weapon Fighting 03: Rogue(3): Weapon Finesse 06: Rogue(6): Weapon Focus 09: Rogue(9): Stealthy 10: Rogue(10): Improved Evasion 12: Rogue(12): Improved Two-Weapon Fighting 13: Rogue(13): Defensive Roll 15: Rogue(15): Skill Focus: Hide 16: Rogue(16): Crippling Strike 17: Fighter(1): Improved Critical 18: Fighter(2): Skill Focus: Move Silently, Blind Fight 20: Fighter(4): Weapon Specialization 21: Fighter(5): Great Dexterity I 24: Rogue(19): Epic Weapon Focus, Epic Skill Focus: Hide 27: Rogue(22): Great Dexterity II 29: Fighter(6): Epic Weapon Specialization 30: Rogue(24): Epic Dodge, Epic Skill Focus: Move Silently
Bluff 19(20), Disable Trap 33(35), Discipline 32(32), Hide 33(56), Move Silently 33(56), Open Lock 33(41), Persuade 19(20), Search 33(35), Tumble 30(38), UMD 29(30), remaining skillpoints 33
I'm sure there's room for improvement. First thing I can think of is, possibly, dropping INT to 12 and bumping STR to 13. Or dropping CHA, even, but I'd like them to be a charismatic thief (but not like a bard).
edit: Also considered using the 33 free ranks for Pickpocket. The Bluff/Persuade is for RP and DM stuff, as is probably PP.

I thought there was one or two items that needed 30? Or did that change?

What's a good melee cleric build for a drow these days? It's been ages since I've played one and I understand BG isn't an option any more. Is 23 cleric / 4 fighter / 1 rogue optimal?

Yus, that's essentially what you have to use if you want 4 APR (remember Divine Champion is possible as well, but that's more for flavor). Otherwise, 27/1 if you want to be more caster focused. Also, <BOMPH> Naivatkal wrote: So for giggles I want to make a rogue-focused char; essentially a master thief with a silver tongue. Initial thoughts are 24 rogue/6 fighter.
