Is there a list for all places where drows aren't allowed inside? Could someone direct me to it or atleast tell me?
Also I would like to know if they just wont let me in, or if they would kill me on sight for being a drow.

Don't believe there is a complete list of everywhere, but posted at each town or location.
I can vouch they are banned from cordor unless specifically approved otherwise.

Okay, so Cordor is a place where I'm not allowed to enter, but I'm not killed on sight either, am I?

Theres still the questions of the other cities though.

Thats a 50/50 chance depending what dm is online or what pc guard is online. Either way anything with Cordor in its name is a not somewhere your able to go without a dm overseeing your actions, so that the npcs can react accordingly. So rule of thumb just don't enter without a dm being present, including Cordor North where the carts are. :D

I think I can say with confidence that it's probably extremely unwise for a drow to try to enter Winya Ravana, though anyone with enough intelligence to actually play NWN probably already figured that out. :)

I've also had a drow character kicked out of Kohlingen, though the paladin doing the kicking-out was very polite.

I was just wondering if its a risky bet to walk the roads etc in case a patrol comes by. I just want to know if the guards will hunt me into the woods and try to kill me, or if they frown a bit and keep an eye on me.

Sure, I can ask around ICly how diffrent cities and settlements look upon the drow, but I believe that I would not get a straight answer. I'm not talking about walking into cities, just how people look upon unfamiliar drow.

Edit: I also wonder if I can take the carts or if thats considered metagaming. I dont want to break some rule, so I want it clear.

Who cares about getting a straight answer? The fun is in not knowing what's going to happen. The fun's in being deceived and having that "Oh shit!" moment when you realize that a whole village is chasing you.

For the most part you get the benifit of the doubt if I would catch a stray drow in Cordor that I don't know login of and explain the policy occly to them as well as icly to them. But as to views on an unfamiliar drow I would say range from you'ld get a hug or a stab. :P

I don't really feel like its a great suprise when I get banned for being in the wrong place when none told about where I can and can't go.

In Bendir Dale we generally go by: Does Jud approve of you?
Y: you may enter. N: gtfo.
(like the link says)

Unlike Cordor, however, Drow may run up and down the road from the Amian Frontier to Amia Forest that is outside the walls as much as they want so long as they don't have a KOS on them.

In case of Kohlingen you do not necessarily need a signet ring, however, in that case you should prove that you are not a Lolthite or follower of another evil deity.

In Oakmist Vale all drow are banned (even with signet rings) unless they are Grove members themselves.

As a drow character, I think it would be safe to assume that every settlement (except the Elli's) hates you and doesn't want you there unless otherwise stated... IC'ly.

Drow without a signet cannot at any time enter:

Cordor
Kohlingen
Winya Ravana
Brogdenstein

Signets are not allowed in:
Bendir Dale.
(This means you need a person on their List of OK Drow /with you/ to enter.)

If you want to go in these places, you MUST HAVE A DM WITH YOU. Either invisibly in the sky, or otherwise. If you don't, it's metagaming the guards, and that is /bad/.

You seem to have answered your own question by your stated actions. Simply put you will not get an OOC "get out of being hassled by anyone because I'm a drow on the surface" card. More to the point, what is a non'Elistraean doing wandering around on the surface in the first place? It can only be for causing trouble, so you should be hassled anyway, just saying.

You don't need to know. Such information should be discussed IC. If your an elistraeen, get the information from fellow Elistraeen's, if your not, then you gain the information from experimentation, or from talking to people. Every time you come on the surface you are ignorant, unknowledgeable, and out of your element. Your meant to be confused, and meant to be wary at every turn. Nothing should be easy for a non-Elistraeen Drow.

Find this information out IC please. If you get thrown out of a city, then you get thrown out. If you enter one without knowing drow are meant to be banned from there then you tell a DM or player you didn't know. Then RP being thrown out by the guards if no DM's are around.

Most cities that don't allow Drow have gates that won't let Drow in, or have the laws posted outside the city so you know no drow are allowed. If they have neither, do as your character would in this situation. He know's he's not an Elistraeen, and pretty much everyone on the realms knows that you Drow are hated on the surface. So your character would then do what when he approachs a city that doesn't clearly state its laws or have gates with guards. Would he be wary and enter covered in cloths? Would he be brazen and risk the eyes of hostile surfacers? Would he be catious and simply avoid the city? Or would he do something completely different? Act as your character would, using common knowledge.

It kind of sounds like you already know where your drow shouldn't be going, and you're looking for OOC permission to go to those places anyway.

If your PC is banned from entering Cordor or Kohlingen, then yes, that includes the docks of Cordor and Kohlingen. Does this make your PC's life difficult and make little things into a huge hassle? Yes, it does. And that's exactly how it's supposed to be, for a surface drow.

Only in the screwed-up world of Amia is that true. In any sensible setting, kobs, orogs, duergar, etc., would be just as hated, and rightfully so.

Not really. It has to do with the fact that those three races have done very little to harm the majority of the surface population, and they are rarely seen. Where as Drow have caused infinitely more issues for topside populations over the years, attacking their villages and just generally causing issues for everyone.

The exception is Kobolds/goblins, which makes no sense to me either.

Kobolds and orcs (orogs) have done less to harm the surface? Are you out of your blooming skull?

Drow are, like Lally said, the Bogeyman. They're the Big Bad that mommies tell their children are going to steal them during the night if they don't eat their greens. Most commoners live their whole lives without ever seeing one.

Kobs and orcs are everyday menaces. They're a constant threat to millions of people. Literally, millions. No exaggeration. The are two and only two sensible responses to seeing a kob or orc walking down the road: one, flee in terror; two, kill it. I recognize that in an RP setting, there's a person with rights and feelings driving that orc/kob, so allowances must be made for the sake of having a functioning game world. But Amia goes way, *way* too far.

Its because no one expects the Kobold inquisition!

....Errr, I mean because no one ever seems to think of Kobolds/Goblins as a great threat it seems like, usually they get about as much hate as an annoying house cat, even if they are murderous little buggers.

Orogs are not orcs, and its rather easy to tell the difference between them. Orogs haven't done much damage. They generally stick to themselves.

the biggest problem is server culture here... there has never been a sizable enough population of any of the monster races save the drow *since I have joined the server* that actually did much harm... so while I agree that certain races like the Gray Dwarves who in normal circumstances would be banned are not because their race never had much of an impact... also you have to put into consideration the player base... only a limited number of players...

the gray dwarves should have their own city.. the deep gnomes should have their own area... but with a limited number of players who play them there isn't a reason to do so when we would have a mostly unused area taking up space... so we bite our tongue and adapt to it.

You drow are lucky that stuff's not up to me. I'd make the surface a real bitch for you and the UD a real bitch for the surfacers. That means no carts, no city access, etc. The drow are taught from a very young age to fear the surface (it's indoctrinated into Lolthite culture to keep them oppressed) and the surfacers are taught to fear the dark.

I just want people to show me that! For example, my sun elf refuses to go into the UD unless it's absolutely necessary. Why? Because he can't bloody see. Mechanically, the UD is FAAAR brighter than it should be. And drow on the surface get off lightly with the light blindness.

I guess what I'm saying in a roundabout way is: A drow shouldn't trust the cart drivers on the surface just as a surfacer wouldn't trust a cart driver in the UD.

You've already had that answer given. Don't metagame the NPC's.

If you think that a particular NPC would reasonably object to your action or presence you need a DM to oversee that interaction. As a player, you don't have the authority to simply hop a cart as the Farunian version of the Boogieman. It's also why drow should just be a platinum coin race, far too many people are just running around looking for loopholes and cart blanche permission to have special access that their race and RP would not normally give them. You're a drow, get over how difficult it is to reasonably get around on the surface, it's an alien world and hostile to all drow.

I always figured Drow could freely use carts as there isn't any racial script stopping them from doing so?

Yeah, this basicly. I just want to know what I can and cant do. A lot of people have said that this is Amia, not Faerun, so I was wondering how sht goes down here.

I've seen carts kinda like taxi drivers. They'll take anyone anywhere, regardless of gender, political or religious backing, race etc, as long as the person pays the fee and doesn't cause them trouble. The reason for this being that they are money grubbing little gits that don't get any help from local law enforcement. Which is why most of the cart drivers are outside of main city walls.

They already have their own areas. The limited playerbase point you mentioned is one of several reasons why it's not ideal.

Besides, as Selvec said, the other three prime Underdark races are not only rare in the playerbase, but they've not caused as much trouble for everyone as the Drow have. For example, I get away with blending my Orog in as a Half-Orc and it works for two reasons: a) he's the only epic level Orog on the server and b) because he doesn't have ash coloured skin, none of you know the difference anyway.

Because of that, I have justified why a "monster" can use the cart system. Drow are not any different... there's enough Eilistraeeans for them to start pretending that they're all just rich surface Drow. Besides, if you rub enough coin together, greed comes into it and certain prejudices are overlooked.

Never even heard of [The Baphitaur Caves.] Are they super dark? If so, I'll love them.

Super Dark is an understatement. When you're going through them, you have to stare at your map... and because the map's dark as well, you tend to run into walls alot.

It's the same with the Kuo Toa caves.
