These Notices are posted in L'Obsul, the L'Obsul Tradehouse, the notice boards of the Svirfneblin and Duergar outposts in L'Obsul's mines and copies of these notices are also sent to the Underport to join the many other notices on their brimming trade boards.

The notices are always posted in groups of four: the first being written in Undercommon, the second in the Drow intellect, the third in the common tongue of the surface and finally, a collection of pictures depicting the impression of the notices for those unable to read any of the three languages provided.


"Obsidian Vanguard

All members of the Obsidian Vanguard and remnants of the Horde still present in the Underdark realms are to report to the L'Obsul Tradehouse and record in the roster their battle ready status within the next two cycles.

Any and all members who do not report within two cycles will be assumed as retired and will have their name stripped from the records of the Vanguard.

- A rough list of timings you're available.

With an up to date list, we can see about organising some shin-digs and getting the ball rolling.

An incredibly ugly duergar scuttles into the Tradehouse one cycle and remains there until he gets the chance to meet Grimgor. In waiting, he spends most of his time at the bar drinking some vile alcoholic concoction of his own creation.

All told, it's not long before a certain fiery archmage is seen back around L'Obsul. Colder, now, much of her formerly explosive temper has been reined in to a calculating, razor-edged awareness. She's rarely seen without her Corrupter of Fate at her side, and her violet eyes hold a wealth of new knowledge. However, it seems that whatever she's /there/ for, she's doing it quietly unless approached.

To those who have responded, you are hereby appointed once more into the ranks of the Vanguards. However, before the building can be built the foundations must be set; without a solid and unified ranking structure, glory to the dark will not commence. As such, your first duties will be to make yourselves known in person to Overseer Naltyrr Ale'zynge who will allocate you into a position in the organisation he deems you most fit.

For now official information of such a structure will not be released via public statement; if you do not personally contact the Overseer, you will not find out. You have been warned.

For those who have not responded, your names have been officially stripped from the ranks of the Vanguard. Future progress has no need for those unwilling to answer the call.

//to sum it up OOCly, Genar_Detkasa and I would like to get a chance to see you all in game at some point. With such timezones spread as they are, organising a mass gathering is going to be unpractical so I'm happy to organise individual or small group sessions, particularly on the weekends when I'm most available.

In saying that, we're not completely unreasonable... if it's not going to be possible to see either of us in game for whatever reason, I'm happy to discuss things in PMs at any time about anything relating to either the Vanguard or the Underdark as a whole. As a player, I'll do my best to facilitate your enjoyment to the best of my ability.
