With Shadows retirement from the DM team I am looking for a new Cow Junior, so I am taking applications for a creature developer.

You need to have a fundamentally sound understanding of Balance as it pertains to NWN and Amia, you need to be able to operate the toolset and you need to be able to stick to deadlines. It will take away time you could spend playing on the server because we have some few hundred creatures to fix and clean up over the next 3 - 6 months including Animal Companions and Familiars.

You'll need to have MSN and be able available on Friday or Saturday afternoon/evenings US CST. Every week you need to have a contact point with me and you need to be good and keeping records of your changes.

I would be willing to lend a hand, but this computer tends to crash randomly when I have Toolset open :roll:

I think Sune had a way around Windows 7 crashing and such.

There a form somewhere to make it look all official like?

I'm just wanting to have people make an application of the thing with prior experience cited in the thingo and such as that.

Prior experience would be to have outlived the split between arelith/Amia and the old epic crazy areas plus all the other areas that slowly was retconned away for being OP or way way way to easy.
Just by playing here for a while should make you eligible for 'prior' experience.

Though that's my personal opinion.

Honestly, it really doesn't. I know people who have been playing NWN for over six years and they still wouldn't be able to balance monsters properly. You need to have a good idea of balance and moderation when creating these things.

Which is wrong Svensk, because there are folk who play here for years and wouldn't have a clue how to do anything because its not as simple as you seem to suggest it is.

Rather than a written application perhaps this is better

Apply by rebuilding the Spires spawns from the base up including Royales. If by viritue of your experience on the server you manage to get close to what I have in mind, I will take you on.

Aye, played on this server for years and I would have no idea how to create anything resembling a balanced creature.
