Is a druid or a shifter under 1000 faces shifted back to its natural form upon death?

Normally a shifter (or druid for that matter) always unshifts when they die.

So unless this is one if Amias wysiwyg rules (which would imho not be appropriate here) they should unshift. The problem with the 1000faces or any skinchanger is for all I know a purely mechanical one.

thanks amarice,
i remember being told otherwise in an IC way that shifters dont unshift upon death, so would appreciate if a dm could help clarify this as a rule, thanks

I am fairly certain that I've seen that they unshift upon death in both the sourcebooks and here on the forums.

Hence it would be good to know what the official ruling is from the dms.

Yep. All shifters do. Even when used more broadly to talk about Lycanthropes. Lycans shift back to their natural form if they die too.
