so, i just redownloaded all the haks so that i could start playing again. I can get to A servers start room but cannot enter the game. as soon as i try to load the first area, my nwn client crashes. this does not happen on B, however there are certain areas that do crash. I was able to port to A, but as soon as i tried to go to the Amia forest area I crash everytime. also there is a bag in my inv which crashes me whenever i try to open it. ive tested this on other toons and it is the same each time so i am guessing this is something on my end. any idea? right now, this is making the game impossible to play as i do not know when i will crash next =[

not sure if it'll help or not, but maybe one of your files are corrupted. Have you tried reinstalling everything from scratch?

someone else fixed this issue by completely deleting their haks, re downloading, and putting them back in fresh.

I used to crash every time I would push m for the map, but after I reinstalled NWN, it's no longer a problem. I still crash in some spots often though...usually cities like Cordor, Bendir, and Wiltun. I assume you can never really prevent crashes, but the consistant ones I think mean you have a corrupted file.

neverwinter is 10 years old, trust me, any comp can run it. probably something just got corrupted. I'd start with just uninstalling and reinstalling the haks first. Then if that doesnt work reinstall everything

I had problems with bugs untill I reinstalled neverwinter nights complete then went back first and installed the 1.69 community rebuild HOTU version and then added the amia hak patch and heads and hands ect now I run fine through anything and I got a old 2007 e machine right now. Saving for that 17 inch alienware laptop :)

Something like this kept happening to me back when I had the Platinum version of NWN. It went wonky ten ways from Sunday. Missing textures, crashing all the time, etc. no matter how many times I reinstalled. I had to eventually get a new version which is the one I'm now using, and that's Diamond. I've never had a single problem with it. Even Windows Vista liked it. O_o

Help me: "Neverwinter Nights has stopped working" when I try to run it from nwmain, or after clicking "Play" at the launcher. Run as administrator doesn't help. The recommended compatibility mode settings don't help.

Playing on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Video card is AMD Radeon HD 6670. I updated my a while ago to play other games smoothly, I don't remember if I've played NWN after that.

I will try updating my drivers again, but is there something else that could be the problem or a fix? I don't really know if there's a way to log what goes wrong.

EDIT: Never mind. I jumped the gun, updating drivers fixed it.

I didn't even restart my computer since last night when I was playing just fine, but now it inexplicably doesn't work again. Nothing but a Microsoft Security Essentials update since then. How the hell is this even possible? Getting a little irritated with these constant problems.

Edit: And now it works in Windows XP compatibility mode, which wasn't required ever before.
