[A number of plain posters full of blocky letters find themselves tacked up around the various districts of Cordor]
The Commonwealth needs you! It's been nearly half a year since disaster struck and razed the logging town of Guldorand, and almost a quarter of a year since the disappearance of Citizen Artum caused the reconstruction effort to falter and grind to a halt. But when Cordor purchased the Guldorand Logging Company, and accepted the people of Guldorand as citizens of the Commonwealth, we obliged ourselves to treating them as our equals, as our brothers!
For too long, the town has lay in ruins. For too long, the livelihood of shipwrights and carpenters, fletchers, bowyers, merchants and shippers - all sorts of honest, hardworking commonfolk - have been suffering due to the loss of a major source of lumber. It's time we saw to it that the mountainfolk have proper homes to return to, and the means to maintain a steady living - not just for themselves, but for everyone on the island.
At present, we're looking for carpenters, masons, architects, in addition to individuals to help with the planning and organizing of the reconstruction. Interested parties should contact Citizen William Fletcher here in Cordor. Preference in employment will be given to Citizens of the Commonwealth, but all applications will be taken - outlaws, criminals, Banites, etc need not apply. Donations of coin and building supplies (oak - logs or planks, granite, bricks and mortar) will also be accepted.
*the fliers are signed in a hand significantly different hand from the rest of the writing, a somewhat sloppy, unnecessarily large script*
-Will Fletcher

[A response is posted swiftly, in the same clumsy, unnecessarily heavyhanded script as the signature]
Most of the folks from Guldorand have applied (and been accepted) as Citizens of the Commonwealth, and remain in Cordor until the construction begins in earnest again.

Dear Sir;
I am not a citizen, but on behalf of the Shrine of Eilistraee, I would like to offer foodstuffs and brewing supplies. I am a market gardener, and I can also be of some assistance in defense.
Sincerely, Aly'dra My'rahel Priestess of Eilistraee

A message is sent to Will.
Mister Will Fletcher,
The plague was the reason Copper Industries was unable to continue with construction - not to mention your citizen Artum Tauri's outright insults to the company on multiple occasions. We are still prepared to work with Guldorand to see their homes restored. I would like to arrange a meeting with you at your convenience so that we can go over the list of resources and the quote we still have in our files. I have a feeling you will prove far more competent than Cordor's last representative, so let us see this project through at long last.
Respectfully, Zelly Copper Industries

The Grove still offers to extend their patrols to Guldorand to ensure a safe rebuild for Copper Industries.

[A single response in the same style finds itself tacked up alongside previous fliers]
To Miss Aly'dra, the food and other such supplies would be greatly appreciated. It will be a lot of long, hard work up in Guldorand for a lot of the laborers working to rebuild the walls, mill, and town, and it'll get quite cold, as one can imagine. Good food and something to keep the men warm will go a good ways to keeping motivation up. I'll try to meet with you in person to hammer out specifics.
For Miss Zelly, and the Archdruidess, we do appreciate any and all offers of aid, but I can't accept them just yet. I'll have to wait until I hear more from the Speaker or a Secretary before placing any orders/accepting any military help.
For anyone looking to make donations, we greatly appreciate it. At present, we mostly need coin and raw materials, the more the better. Rebuilding costs appear to be in excess of a half million gold right now, but the more we can raise, the better the workers can be paid, the better work we can afford to do for the people of Guldorand, and the better the town's new defenders can be trained and outfitted. As for materials, we're mainly looking for slabs of Granite and Marble, Iron ingots, prepared Mortar, and logs or planks of Darkwood. I'll be about Cordor on a regular basis to accept donations.
Thank you all in advance for helping to get the town, and thus the island, a little closer to normalcy! -Will Fletcher

Hey fletcher.
As i recall from speaking to numerous workers in guldorand before the dissapearance of the previous big boss, copper industries are allready hired and have done about half the work allready.
Sounds strange for you to "Accept" a help thats allready there?

[Yet more notices find themselves tacked up around Cordor]
The construction efforts are, after too long of a delay, finally underway once more! Copper Industries has signed another contract with the Cordorian Commonwealth, providing materials, blueprints, foremen and engineers whilst the Commonwealth provides the manual labor needed to rebuild the town. Further thanks given to the Shrine for their generous contributions of foodstuffs for the laborers - I've seen what they'll be providing firsthand, and I've no doubt that the workers days won't pick right up when they get a whiff of it. Details on security services are still a bit hazy, but a mixture of Cordorian and volunteer forces will be on duty to see to the protection of the workers and visitors - individuals wishing to volunteer to guard the town should speak with myself, or ma'am Zelly of Copper Industries.
Storage for raw materials will be set up on-site shortly, so donations of materials can be dropped off without need for a middle man. We're accepting any donations of marble, granite, mortar, iron ingots, high quality crystal, ironwood planks, and darkwood logs or planks. Guldorand can be reached by taking the cart to Bendir, then to the Sandy Beach and finally to Guldorand itself (be warned that, while services do run TO Guldorand, you're on your own for the return trip) or by walking the path through the Skull Crags. Wanderers making the trip on foot should be warned of trolls, aggressive giant beetles, and various other indigenous mountain creatures that will not be happy to see trespassers in "their" territory - but so long as you stick to the road and keep a quick pace, you should be safe.
I will personally be accepting any donations in coin; we've already paid for materials and transportation, but the laborers will still be expecting a fair salary (and I intend to see them walk off well rewarded for their efforts in repairing the homes and livelihood of our new brothers and sisters up the mountain), and arms/armor/training will still be needed for the establishment of a permanent militia for the town. We've already gathered some sixty thousand gold to put towards these goals, and every little bit more helps! Thank you all for your attention, and here's to hoping the town will be up and running properly in the relatively near future.
-Citizen William Fletcher

A bulky red bearded Dwarf stops to read one of the recent notices while visiting Cordor. He scratches his heavy beard in contemplation while he reads. He then makes his way into the town hall to pen a letter to William Fletcher..

The copper kin known as Zelly is seen in a flurry of activity in Kohlingen. She sends letters out to dozens of people as she prepares to gather supplies and the people she intends to put in charge of the project. A particularly lengthy message is sent to Ratin Immil, her Chief Engineer, providing him with the old quote and an invitation to return to Guldorand so that he can oversee construction efforts once again.

Once word reaches him, a certain Halfling member of the Bureau of the Census seems overjoyed!
" 'bout time! It should be less of an up hill battle now, getting the rest of the Guldorandian fellows on board with citizenship!"
He then heads far enough outside of Cordor to use his portal wand and is back in Guldorand within moments.

*noted on many posters*
Many Guldorand refugees are presently and safely staying in the northern section of Bendir Dale. The Bendir Dale civil administration stands ready to aid the efforts to rebuild and allow these kind and simple folk a return to their beloved homesteads. Citizen volunteers of Bendir please report to the Mayors office to allow coordination with other authorities.

A message is sent to William, bound with the seal of Copper Industries.
Citizen William Fletcher,
What is the status on the on-site materials storage? We have a large supply that we will be bringing. Once the labor is prepared, we will join you and the workers in Guldorand. Let us know the date we will be starting construction so that I can have everyone ready to go.
Respectfully, Zelly Copper Industries

A copper kin checks her mail once more and mutters when she finds there's still no word from William Fletcher. It had been eleven days since the man had made his passionate declaration, and there was still no sign that he had done or prepared anything for the construction efforts.
But Zelly had no intention of letting the efforts fall through as they had last time when Artum had abandoned the people of Guldorand. She would not wait to find out that this William Fletcher was only going to be another mark on the livelihoods of the people who had suffered long enough already. There was no reason to let eleven days become eleven weeks, again!
Swinging her legs out from under the table, the copper kin businesswoman abandoned her uncooked lunch and headed for her desk, where she immediately began to write letters...

Zelly paces in her warehouse in Kohlingen, late one morning. A look of concern and unease rests on her face as she deliberates what to do next. Finally, as her thoughts settle, she sits down and begins writing.
