I only find vague reference to their establishment, in the Grand History of the Realms. Anyone know of any other reference to this order?

I did find that one, but it sadly doesn't really tell much about the Order itself, just when it was established and how it fell. I'm more looking for what exactly it was and why they splintered from the Empire at large, etc.

I had a look through candel keep, no much there and i cheeked a few pdf books i have for the terms (Selskar Order) but nothing but the historical nothings came up about who they were what they were, i dont think there is a heap of lore done on them unless its from a novel and i dont recall an such novel as yet but ill look around.

Yep, Lost Empire's has a writeup. Page 107 and forwards. It also quotes Dungeon #101 and Magocratic Illusk page 144 for more material.
