I don't remember where exactly, but there is a "crystal" place between the Amia Forest (east) and Guldhorand. In a most desolate dungeon, in a dark corner, two PC guys ran into me. Totally random. Love those moments. I have been off and on (mostly on) for 6 years and I'm /still/ exploring.
Secret encampments, place of meeting for forbidden loves.. love it.

I for one would like to see all but underport removed. I want this also. It's best to keep the drow all in one place, maybe two since there are two servers though, not really much that can be done about having two servers. Also, I love Underport way more than any other drow area, and Underport is tiny.

I love how gorgeous the tilesets are and how much is being done! Bmia is not 'Boss-mia' or 'B team-ia' it is simply the second server of Amia as we are that large and that awesome. Nothing more, nothing less. +1000000 I spend most of my play time on B, and I love it. Dwarves be here! Screw the UD.

The problem isn't the size of the module, it's the distribution and concentration of hubs. Having areas that few people know about and fewer people actually use means that, as others have said, you have places you can RP in uninterrupted, you have something to do that might be entertaining in exploring the module and there are plenty of places for people to hide out and RP. If the module was 'streamlined' to only include areas that saw more regular traffic it might be less conducive to certain kinds of RP, and variety is the spice of life.

Those of us who play drow characters that don’t go on the surface appreciate all the nice areas for UD races. Besides confining all drow to one little Underport is just asking for trouble, ilithids or not. It’s like saying all humans get Cordor and that’s it. Wait…actually that would be funny. Can we do that?

Underport can be expanded. Obviously it would need to be in order to become a hub. At the very least, I think it should have an easier way to get your drow character to other hubs from there.

I personally think having one underdark city would be better. Maybe something a tad larger than Underport divided up into districts, so the Lolthites can have their corner, with other factions and races being all jammed in together so that there's always something going on. That way you can open up interesting power struggles between the city factions and whoever is the elected peacekeeper of the city, perhaps the illithids or some other neutral faction, along with regular Drow backstabbery while satisfying non-Drow underdarkers who are still able to get involved since it's happening on their doorstep.
I touched on it in another thread a while ago; why would any non-Lolthites really want to hang out in the Lolthite city? From an IC perspective it doesn't seem to make any sense. They're well known for their cruelty and maliciousness, so wandering up and saying 'hi guys I'm bored' when you can stay safe and alive in L'Obsul just seems totally implausible. Curiosity kills in the Underdark, and survival is generally the order of the day.

One drow city would greately increase the rp oppertunities for drow, and this is what I think is needed from my experience playing one. Of course, there has to be something for drow on both servers.
