The withered tome is restored to its former glory. The cover is made of what appears to be salamander skin wrapped around a hard surface to protect the inner contents. It is red in color and emblazoned across the front is a Golden Sun Disc. The title reads in Dethek runes. The pages within are vellum made from calf skin, perhaps minotaur is brought to mind as they have much scarring. The restored version having had to be stitched and infilled in several places.
Within the pages, is a full description of the church, its practices, and a list of high ranking clergy. Listed also are the holidays observed by the devout followers in this faith. There are detailed descriptions of holy vestments and rituals to be performed at dawn. There is also a short timeline that tells of the coming of the Untheric Pantheon to Toril and its subsequent end. The most prominent pages, covered in flakes of gold, rest in the center of the tome. They display impassioned works dedicated to the God, through praise, lament, ambivalence, anger & despair. 'My Dreams Are the Sun'
See that golden hue Burning in the west My dreams are with that color My dreams are the sun The sun always sets But never seems to rise That sun carries my dreams Slowly out of my reach I watch it slide away Leaving me behind The color disappears My dreams are with that sun Whenever the sun sets It rises in another place A place blessed by that light My dreams are hidden in that light At my window seat I watch the sun take it all away My dreams are with the sun My dreams are the sun ~Dawn Michelle ( http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-dreams-are-the-sun/) 'Sun that never sets'
i see a sun that never sets, that enlighten inner quest, by transcending hearts gate to overcome lives fade
i see a sun that never sets, burns stoically for the rest to help achieve forbidden glory of those lives gloomy
i see a sun that never sets, for millions pride sake breaking law of nature like a rebel dares death
i see a sun that never sets and he is a man on mission with sublime noble reason to fight human discrimination
i see a man surmount a sun brilliant high in the sky nevertheless refusing to lie unlike a sun that sets everyday
truly Ambedkar, a dalit icon is the only sun, dalits reckon and world shall not witness any other sun that never sets ~Rahul Gade ( http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dr-ambed ... ever-sets/) 'Axis'
Through the conduits of blood my body in your body spring of night my tongue of sun in your forest your body a kneading trough I red wheat Through conduits of bone I night I water I forest that moves forward I tongue I body I sun-bone Through the conduits of night spring of bodies You night of wheat you forest in the sun you waiting water you kneading trough of bones Through the conduits of sun my night in your night my sun in your sun my wheat in your kneading trough your forest in my tongue Through the conduits of the body water in the night your body in my body Spring of bones Spring of suns ~Octavio Paz ( http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/axis-3/) 'Nature's Hymn to the Deity' All nature owns with one accord The great and universal Lord: The sun proclaims him through the day, The moon when daylight drops away, The very darkness smiles to wear The stars that show us God is there, On moonlight seas soft gleams the sky And "God is with us" waves reply.
Winds breathe from God's abode "we come," Storms louder own God is their home, And thunder yet with louder call, Sounds "God is mightiest over all"; Till earth right loath the proof to miss Echoes triumphantly "He is," And air and ocean makes reply, God reigns on earth, in air and sky.
All nature owns with one accord The great and universal Lord: Insect and bird and tree and flower-- The witnesses of every hour-- Are pregnant with his prophesy And "God is with us" all reply. The first link in the mighty plan Is still--and all upbraideth man. ~John Clare ( http://allpoetry.com/poem/8465375-Natur ... John_Clare) 'Our A'isha' The heat of day devours with fire-bolts of thirst. While palmed oasis waters of virgin desert daughters are bowing to the powers of light that was coerced. The heat of day devours with fire-bolts of thirst.
A demon whispered puzzles of golden leafy verse, in five decrees so pearly that gripped his will so surely, their rutty iron muzzles expand the human curse. A demon whispered puzzles of golden leafy verse.
Eleven wives he married, he took one nine years old. The prophet being holy submitted, oh so lowly as revelations varied, to flesh he bought and sold. Eleven wives he married, he took one nine years old.
A’isha cries forever through timeless bloody beds about her mutilation, her gruesome copulation, that rips and tears to sever flesh hearts from sheepish heads. A’isha cries forever through timeless bloody beds.
Our spirits heed Her calling. We rally to Her side. The prophet’s near undoing, A’isha's bitter wooing, amidst the hoards now falling declare Our Lady's pride. Our spirits heed Her calling. We rally to Her side.
The heat of day devours with fire-bolts of thirst. While palmed oasis waters of virgin desert daughters are bowing to the powers of light that was coerced. The heat of day devours with fire-bolts of thirst. ~Sultan ( http://allpoetry.com/poem/3583722-Our_Aisha-by-sultan) A short excerpt is attached at the end of the tome; a recent addition by the translator/restorer. 'Utu: The Unbalanced God of Sun, dwelled with the Untheric Pantheon in Zigguraxus. Arriving in the cosmos of Toril upon the Galley of the Gods, Utu became the morninglord for Mulan people; former slaves of the Imaskaran nobles. His avatar was that of a human male, bathed in golden light. This light died out during the Orcgate Wars when Utu was slain by an orcish deity, along with several others of the Untheric Pantheon. This happened in -1071DR (Dale Reckoning): The Age of Humanity / 1033MC (Mulhorand Calendar). His body was laid to rest in a God-tomb in Unther. Zigguraxus vanished from Toril's cosmology in 1358DR / 3426MC, after the Untheric Pantheon was dissolved with the deaths of Gilgeam and Ramman.'

The ancient parchment is brittle with age and decay but recently restored as much as can be without furthering deteriorating its contents. It is pressed between two thin panes of flexible glass, magically altered to absorb most destructive forces that it might encounter.
This is then placed inside of a frame and securely wrapped in common butcher paper and tied with plain twine. The package is delivered to its owner, now that it has been restored and translated. The translation is written in the common Thorass for ease of the reader to match to the accompanying document.
It appears to be a page from some long dead researcher's notes. Most of it written in a language forgotten and crippled by disuse. Some of the letters are rubbed off from age and others are covered by mold, but for the most part, its entirety is decipherable.
The Ima kar Empi e (also known as the R urin E pire) was an ancient hum n nation that ruled lands in the e st that now comprise the nations of Mul orand, Th y, and Unt er. Its citizens were the I skari.
ar, the ancient empire now swallowed by the urin Desert, and the Pl ins of Pur le Dus . Today they are vilified by the Mulan, who are the descendants of the sl ves the Imaskari ar ificers abduc ed from other worlds using the mighty p rtals they crafted.
Under orders from Lord Arti icer Omanond in -7891 DR (or -5787 MC) that Imaskari artificers created the Ima karc na – se en items in which the empire's immense magical lo e is recorded for all eternity.
seven I karcana are items of trem ndous power, but their names are now forgotten so they are now known by this collective name instead. One of these is a tome, the Third Imaskarcana, and can be found in the city of D ep Imaskar. The fates of most of the other items are unknown, but the P ple Lib ary in city of the S al do hold a few tomes concerning some of them.
The Third Imaskarc a is a massive great-tome bound in slate covers lined with blue dragon skin. Its pages vary in composition and appearance - some are raggedly cut ve lum, others are the skin of humans, e ves or even t nar'ri, and still others are made of crystal that magically possesses the flexibility of paper without its weaknesses. Anyone who carries the Third Imaskarcana becomes quite re tant to spells.
The Third Imaskarcana can t be read like a standard tome. Instead, questions or commands must to it in Roushoum, since it only recognizes that language. If a question or command is directed at the tome in any other language, the questioner is immediately sucked into the tome, where she becomes a fine new vellum page. (A creature so troyed can only be ret ned to life by a mi acle or wish spell).
Anyone who successfully communicates with the tome can use the following powers as spell-like abilities, each once per day: do inate monster, impris nment, m eor swarm, and ti e s p. Additionally, the Third Imaskarcana can answer q tions ce per day, as through via a commune spell.
In -3234 DR, the Imas kari created the outpost known as Me os in Met wo d as its wester ost outpost.
the highest peaks in a range of mountains on the northeastern edge of the Imaskar Empire known today as the T yla S n, or Godsw tch Mo ntains.
A powerful lord named Ilphemon bandon the falling empire. Leading a small number of his family members, apprentices and retainers, and taking with him the ,third a wild and uncharted corner of the Underdark, hoping to escape the wrathful former slaves. Ilphemon and his retinue sought out a large cave imbued with powerful faerzress and discovered the vault that would become Deep Imaskar.
After driving out the monsters that lived there, Il emon sealed the passage behind his people. The wizard-lord and his apprentices labored for many long years to lay the grou ork of the Great Seal and make their cavern home into a living garden, illuminated by the brilliantly radiant light.
Ilphemon's descendants ruled Deep Imaskar for many centuries as kings and queens. In the Year of Dwindling Darkness (-6 4 DR), a cabal of arrogant, evil necromancers overthrew Ilp on's heir and slaughtered his family, bringing an end to the line of the ancient Imaskari lord. For more than a century, Deep Imaskar suffered at the hands of these ruthless necromancers, but in the Year of Dangerous Icicles ( -51 DR) a charismatic champion by the name of Chaschara led a revolt against the necromancer-lords and freed Deep Imaskar.
Cha hara refused to claim the throne, instead declaring herself L dy Protector of the Realm.
