I've noticed that a bunch of people do not know how to make their RP more pretty and are often utterly forgetting the perks of the emote widget. Here's a few tricks I've discovered. Make sure to post your own, and I'll edit OP.
Contents:
1. How to make a continuous casting VFX 2. How to make an item appear in your hand while casting 3. How to split chat windows 4. How to Change Party chat to the other window 5. How to make a scabbard/backpack/quiver visible with any cloak 6. How to easily schedule your meetings?
► Choose the VFX by casting a spell of your choice (you can also stop it before it is cast). ► Click REST menu ► Perform an emote (Conjure 1, Conjure 2)
2. How to make an item appear in your hand while casting?
► Do everything explained in "How to make a continuous casting VFX?" ► Place your cloak into a quickslot ► Click on the quickslot to remove cloak ► Click the quickslot again to re-equip it
► Do everything explained in "how to split chat windows" ► Click the bar on the right. ► Choose "Include party chat" ► Click the bar to the left. ► Choose "Exclude party chat"
5. How to make a scabbard/backpack/quiver visible with any cloak
► Set your cloak appearance type to the Invisible Cloak appearance. ► Change your quiver/scabbard/backpack to the appearance you want ► Change the cloak now to the appearance you would it it to be. The quiver/backpack/scabbard will not hide beneath it.
► Copy the following URL into your URL bar ► Edit the following line to the fitting time 2014-03-27+00:00:00 ► Copy the URL on the forum between [img]copy-here[/img] and post it on the forum. ► It should look something like this
How to dance... jig... twerk or whatever it looks like! It comes out differently sometimes! Keep moving left then right or right then left repeatedly whilst simultaneously tapping on the rest button.

When you are casting a spell for 5 RL days.. you get bored. <.<

He did, I recall. I actually remember finding him doing it as a DM and wondering wtf, then I did some snooping and figured it out so I didn't ask him if he was just afking or something.
There's a lewd joke of some sort in there, I just can't get in deep enough to find it...

Well 5 days is not that much actually. Some spells take 2d6 weeks to complete. And this spell was actually fast-forwarded to 5 days. It would require several months otherwise.
► Do everything explained in "how to split chat windows" ► Click the bar on the right. ► Choose "Include party chat" ► Click the bar to the left. ► Choose "Exclude party chat"
Svensk can you make that image appear one above the other. Its resolution is widened my screen x3. And yeah, many people don't know about it, which is sad.
Some versions (and I don't know why) default in to one mass chat when installed.

Having an OCD of sorts when it comes to neat posts, I have discovered how to make them prettier. For instance instead of using [ ac] text [ /ac] command to make a post look like this..
POST POST POSTTTT POST POSTt POST POSTTTTTTTTT POST POSTttttttt
..you can make it look like this:
POST POST POSTTTT POST POSTt POST POSTTTTTTTTT POST POSTttttttt
It's simple actually. Instead of [ ac] text [ /ac] command you need to use [ list] text [ /list] and repeat it up to 20-25 times.

Please don't it kills any mobile device while viewing. Your posts always look horribad when I view them on the mobile :p

Hey come on now, there's nothing wrong with a friendly ol' bump for the benefit of others who might not have known about this information. So long as the bump ends there, and there are no residual feelings or late-night drunken messages being thrown around.
I for one thought the thread was going to show me how to make my angry half-orc super kawaii, but there you go. I learned something else useful instead.
6. How to make an online GIF Countdown to help people attend meetings
After spending quite some time helping people convert timezones, set up time and date and getting frustrated when players STILL Could not get online in time I started a google marathon trying to figure out a good way to solve the problem. Here's what i came up with!
This will add a countdown timer to your post, like the one below. This particular one is counting down to New Years Day 2015 In UTC (UTC = Universal Coordinated time)
It's pretty simple once you know how!
► Click on the Insert Image button. [img]Looks_like_This[/img] ► This will add the start and end img tags in [square brackets]. You can type them in yourself if you like. ► Insert this URL between the tags:
Here is an index I took on many of the arcane spell FXs and their appropriate colors (if you intend to use FXs in your RP for castings and the like) for you to use in congruency for whatever reason say, your character wants to use 'green' appearing energies or 'pillar-shaped energies', etc. Hope you find it useful.
To make a continuing casting FX, follow Dead's instructions in the first post, then choose one of these spells to specify what color and type (There are different animations in each color, but I did not categorize them all that way, nor is this the complete spell list, just a broad index:
RED: (Generally Necromancy or Death Spells) Evards Tentacles Finger of Death Banshee Wail Magic Circle v. Good Greater Ruin Ray of Enfeeblement Cloudkill Weird Greater Magic Weapon Bestow Curse Powerword Kill Enervation
YELLOW: (Generally Universal spells) Greater Sanctuary Timestop Magic Circle v Evil Light Truestrike Undeath to Death Remove Curse
WHITE: (Generally Sonic spells, Divination spells) Epic Mage Armor Blade of Disaster Epic Mummy Dust Great Thunder Clap Shield Death Armor Gust of Wind Clairvoyance Find Traps Ray of Frost See Invisibility Power Word Stun Horinzikul's Boom Identify
GREEN: (Generally Acid spells, Transmutation Spells) Special (ranged): Crackling Bubbles Bigsby's Hands Acid Splash Acid Sheathe Acid Arrow Endure Elements Banishment Polymorph Self Resistance Cloud of Bewilderment Grease Web Stinking Cloud Dismissal Acid Breath Acid Fog Flesh to Stone Stone to Flesh Shapechange Keen Edge

If you want to perform a basic emote for an extended amount of time and not resort to using a widget or the rest menu because it will muck up your pretty screenshots. Open your inventory, right click on your character and choose the emote you want then grab any item in your inventory and move it to another slot in your inventory, it doesn't have to be equipped. This will vary depending on whether you do it in time because some emotes finish very quickly, in those cases you can just put that emote in your quickslot, spam it a couple times then move the item in your inventory. Your character will now perform that emote indefinitely, at least until you tell them to do something else.
This thread and all its "equip item spam during emote" reminds me of the old Bullet Casting exploit way back just after HOTU came out that had people fire out almost an infinite amount of magic missiles at one-another...
I have a feeling that the Invisible Cloak/Quiver trick does not work on Large Phenotype characters and some of the larger cloaks. I'm pretty sure that "Moradin" style cloak do not work at least using this trick.
Some things that might be worth mentioning:
Spazzin' out: You can pull off some pretty crazy moves if you assign an emote from the radial menu to an action bar and spam it, then hit a direction key (W,A,S,D) when you're happy you've spammed for the desired period of time. Try it with the "Laugh" emote and a haste potion, you'll know if you've done it right...
Placing Items: I'm sure everyone knows, but I'll mention it anyway. You are able to drop an item underneath a table or another solid object and it normally will appear on top of the object you placed it under, with you still being able to retrieve it. This is usually used when placing a mug on top of the table you're seated at for example.
I'm just big boned, not fat: As a large phenotype character, it's possible using the armor crafting system to have some limbs more normally proportioned as some of the limb appearances are not available for the Large Phenotype. I'll let you explore the Crafting System to see what I mean, but if anyone that's met Brynhilder Craghide before ever wondered how many times she hit the gym a day to end up with those tree-trunk arms and still retain a fairly normal lower body, take this as a hint . This is a great asset to those seeking uniquely built characters and has, for me atleast, served as the basis of her character.

I don't see this so far, but if its here already whatever.
This is more for the individual as nobody else sees it, but I know with default chat colors it can be incredibly difficult to be in party and RPing at the same time because all chat colors are the same save w hisper and tell.
So you can go into nwnplayer.ini and either modify or add a segment for chat colors. Colors are set on a R,G,B scale from 0-255
It helps differentiate what people are saying, especially useful when playing at higher resolutions where text size doesn't scale up. I also think its easier on the eyes than some vanilla text, I know tells were pretty hard to read.

Brotip: Ever notice that even though you told your char to lie down with the emote menu, he eventually gets up? Move an item in your inventory and that won't happen, as it interrupts the action queue when the duration of the emote in the script runs out.
Also works on radial emotes if you're quick enough.

You can of course use this in combination with spell effect.
Yup, I already mixed it with the animation from Create Greater Undead, and it looks fantastic. You're a master of your craft, that craft being gorgeous RP
