Va! All hail the shaky twitchy psychomidget!

Bah nothing wrong with wearing black... ive seen dozens of neutral and good pc's dressed in black.
Actually a lot of my good characters wear all-black, even the #63 black. My bad guys rarely wear black.

One cool thing about Va that I remember though is that he was sort of 'held' in 'captivity' by the Black Flag. They sort of only let him out to win gambled fights for them, it was a nice touch. I think a lot of characters like this can scrape by as pure carnage children if they have a good leash. Laika was -sort of- under control by way of doing what a few PCs told him to do, but he would screw up a lot too by his own devices. Like busting up Cordor's Sewers and making a poop flood on the human filth that lived there.

Carnage kids are definitely fun but they need leashes otherwise it gets dull!

My advice to all evil characters is this: expect to lose in the end. Now, things have changed over the time I've played here and its become far more viable to be evil with neutral and evil settlements gaining prominence on the server, but in the end good will always triumph. That doesn't mean evil shouldn't pursue their goals, you can have just as much fun putting your plot into action and losing as you can winning. In fact, if you win, shows over everything is done go home, if you lose its back to the drawing board for the next big thing. So, evildoers of Amia, take heart that the world would be immensely boring if you weren't there to shake things up.

Laura's not evil, she's just morally and socially retarded.
I'd also mention that 'evil' isn't just about being evil, or doing evil things, it can also just be a morally inept individual. Does a character animate dead or wantonly slaughter people because it's evil? Or because they think it's just a perfectly normal practice from their own point of view?

Roleplaying isn't a competition. Nobody should expect to win, or get mad over losing. Both victory and defeat are just catalyst for future roleplay.
I think the most valuable advise is that you should always try to be polite OOC. I realize it can be difficult with some people here, but in the end, it does pay off. You're not the villain your character is, and let it be known.

When you're playing characters who would't even lift a finger to save their own grandmothers, it's hard to come across as being nice when your mind is in the role of being a prick.
Surprisingly, smilies actually help, they convey intent better than words do.

This is actually pretty good info. It may sound silly, but when my character is in a heated argument with someone (Mith) it helps that when OOC communication takes place, the other party is aware that it's the character and not the player, and even stressful RP is in good fun.

I wouldn't agree with this. Maybe a few years back, but not now. I am not saying that the evil will win, but I highly doubt it that the evil shall lose, at this pace.
I think Chaotic characters never win long-term because of an inability to create something stable.
I don't think particularly chaotic characters win by making anything stable. Doing major damage can have long lasting or at least powerful effects on the server.
Look at Guldorand. It was utterly destroyed, and from that destruction, it ended up becoming annexed by Cordor. So utter destruction can have an impact on the server!
I've seen entire apartment complexes double in size within a month or two. With enough dudes, resources and a spellcasting adventurer or two, building projects can go by -much- faster than you might expect.
Funnily enough, magic wasn't used for the Guldorand rebuild, and it's an entire village with a prison being carved out in the giant rock, which would take months.

That's true enough. I should have razed Underport more efficiently... That would have been a worthy exit.
