Many of the current heads have that functionality, actually.

... do they? I guess maybe I never noticed that, when browsing the screen caps of them. Or maybe it's just a subtler effect than I'd thought. :)

I noticed it real easy 'cause of my drow character! :D I'm sure there aren't very many, though.

Here's a thing I've always wondered about head building... is it possible to have a character's eyebrows match their hair color? Is that even a thing that could be made to look good, with the way NWN models are set up? I'm just curious... it's occasionally irked me that regardless of their hair color, all my characters have eyebrows that are that bland color known as "slightly darker than her face."

One of the problems with this is that .png files (the texture files for your character) don't do transparency very easily, and don't do transparency between texture layers at all. If there is a pixel present on a layer and there are no other pixels where it is in a layer above it in the stack, the game will saturate that pixel with whatever color gradient the player selects at a fixed rate without allowing proportional representation of transparency by reducing the opacity of the saturation on that pixel.

Non-technical version: They tend to look like blobs of badly-applied makeup instead of actual eyebrows.

Any ETA on the finished ones yet? My bronze would look so cool with a metallic head not this silly tiefer head!

Would it be possible to add a dragon disciple head with a pronounced central horn? It would be more applicable to Blue and Silver DDs respectively, given a Silver's typical crest and a Blue's horn.

Also, Hin/Gnome heads with less wiggly nose/ear parts!

Every so often people like to play blind characters.

Would you be interested in making a male/female model with cloth over their eyes? Humans, naturally. No disgusting drow types.

A blind drow is a disgusting drow. At least, until they are killed for being pathetic. Then they are a dead drow :3

Oh, the dragon disciple heads, can you make them with like the current hair length then say... longer, like mid-back?

Is it possible to get some heads for older people (humans)? As it stands, there are only 2 or 3 and, frankly, they look like crap:

We have
http://www.amiaworld.net/files/heads/in ... ?t=10&i=16
http://www.amiaworld.net/files/heads/in ... ?t=10&i=17

and maybe
http://www.amiaworld.net/files/heads/in ... t=10&i=120
http://www.amiaworld.net/files/heads/in ... t=10&i=150

Most of the human heads look quite aged. I'd rather see some smoother skinned ones. Would make it easier to find a good one for half elves as well.

Most of them look young. A couple look middle-aged (e.g. #120), and about the same number (like, 2-3) look old, sort of, but it's not very well done.

I think we could easily replace a lot of the heads that have built-in helmets.

Fixed that for you.

Could also replace all of the Hooded Heads to since we have an actual legit hood that everyone uses in Armor Pieces.

Is it possible to do a version of a scaley head like this sans horns? I don't know if it's just me that has a character like that, it'd be nice for people who have characters with scales/feathers/etc but don't have horns.

I will take a look at how many new heads we can get together with these and the CCC stuff, and then go over them on the designer forum like last time. Might be a bit, given the last head update was not that long ago.

I lied. Opening this back up to prevent spam questions in other peoples' threads.

Please keep the following in mind when posting:

1. I'm not staff.
2. I'm a jerk.
3. I will not make something look exactly like what you want. It has to be somewhat generic.
4. I probably won't do more than maybe a third of the suggestions at most. Each one is about five hours of work (if I work nonstop) and I'm simply not able to get to them all.
5. I won't take these in order, and will more or less do the ones that interest me.
6. Some degree of priority will be afforded to staff requests (i.e. if I can't pick between two and one's a staff request).

If you can put up with that, feel free to post here and suggest something. Again though, I can't and won't produce everything everyone wants, I simply don't have the time and must be done by the time the next head update goes in. I also burned out doing this last time, so output is going to be a little more paced.

Anyway, here's the consolidated new heads from other threads:

Basically I have everything ready on my laptop, save for the two new additions by Eurgiga. My powerjack should arrive early this week, at the latest I should have my laptop repaired next WE and could send the Headpack to someone who can host it on the website for an official release.

Though if Eurgiga is gonna make a few more, I rather wait a little bit with the release, so we can include those too.

Please don't let me hold your release captive. Get a rollout date and I'll make what I can.

I'll also need you to get me a list of which heads you want available for which races, because I'll need to make copied files for each race that gets that head. Considering some human female heads will have to be cut (there's no room for new ones), I imagine this discussion will take a week or so among the staff anyway, so I think we're probably fine on time.

This dude is the hobgoblin, as defined in the 3rd Edition Monster Manual. Looks kind of halfway between a goblin and an orc, to me.

I think we actually still have room for a few human females, but those are the ones we are now really nearing the border on. There were a few that had been jumped that I overlooked for the last update. From the top of my head, I do not know how many, or if your new ones now filled up those slots.

For the hak update, I rather wait another two weeks or the like if you are back in the saddle. No reason to get inpatient now. It would also allow me the time to go through a very agitating hak compilation (given there are like 30 different hak groups in it) to try to weed out the few great heads within it.

Okay I have two more suggestions:

- a female version of the Hobgoblin/Half-Orc head. I know the Hobgoblins do not look that different from the half-Orcs but we do not really have that many of those either to begin with.

- a female and male elven head with small fiendish horns.
Currently we only have one elven male head with horns which look all kinds of weired like a crown or somesuch and one female which has giant antennas on the head!

Or are you still working on a couple more vfx horns which could be added to that sortment?

I'll toss some horns on the elf head and switch up the tattoos a bit. Male elf head was on my to-do list, I'll stick horns on it too.

Probably not going to bother with a female halforc-body head, I've seen one of those in four years and there's actually a few decent female halforc heads already, a couple of which would go over well enough as bugbears (not like anyone sees a female halforc to compare often).

*Flashy Header*

(this is so people can find this once it gets buried)

I've gotten a few requests to get more shots of a few heads, but instead I decided to pack everything up, build a shiny demo mod, and upload it for you to play around with. All the new stuff is on display with some theming, I hope it leads people to some brainstorms. :D

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4pdwwrr1nl6fh ... Folder.rar

Instructions:

Unzip to your NWN folder.
Select 'yes' if it wants to overwrite something, your puny files are insignificant.
Load up the demo module and enjoy! (Select "New" from the main menu. Some of us have played multiplayer so long we've forgotten how to play single player)

Unless Phearnun's digging is doing so, is it possible to get a few half-decent looking male Halfling heads? I don't know, they all seem a bit... off. Especially considering female Halflings get less... bluuurgh heads.

I'm sure it's possible to transfer over a few of the more exotic heads into the halfling subfolder? Some heads are usable for many races, right? :)

Nope. That is something that is just NWN, just like we can not make all heads selectable at creation.

You can't just move them, you have to create a new file for them, it's a little complex.

Hin are on my list. Trying to give the short races at least one new head per gender.

Does this headpack fix that stupid issue in character creation where 50% of the heads have helmets?

Nope. That is something that is just NWN, just like we can not make all heads selectable at creation.

I did not yet come across one, sadly.

Because most people who seem to create heads go for the human / half-elf (male and female) and elf (female). It is why we have almost no custom heads for races like gnomes and half-orcs, given they are apparently just not as popular and hence get less love.

What about an Half-Orc head with a manly beard? I have only seen goatees and sideburns. Any chance for a full beard? :)

I'd love some proper gnome heads. It is so anoying that bioware made the race look completly different to what it does in D&D. I always wanted to play one, but those pointy-nosed monkeys just have little appeal to me.
