A human male would be occupying one of the cells of the Vanguard Headquarters. An aroma of herbs emanates from within, occasional sparks of light. Those who peer inside see a rugged leather-clad man, slightly battered and bruised, working away with his selection of herbs. When not working, he spends his time laying on the bed provided for him, which is often usually when he is either smoking, or sleeping.

The Zanjur of War appeared to visit the prisoner every now and then, collecting whatever the human had created out of the herbal agents provided to him. Sometimes, he would even deign to toss in a loaf of bread to keep the man from starving to death. No other luxuries were provided, it seemed― not even water!

Perhaps the occasional dripping from the ceiling of the holding cell was deemed an adequate source of hydration.

In the late hours of the cycle a drow mage with blood red shoes and under cover of some spell that acts as an umbrella within the interior of the constantly dripping Vanguard HQ, picks his way through the building gingerly. Followed by a large drow mummy the mage passes by the cell with hardly a glance and proceeds to make quite the racket apparently rifling through a desk around the corner. "Nau, it is naut here...", can be heard in broken common. "Put down the desk", followed by a crash of something heavy slamming the floor, "do be careful... This one has run out of cousins with which to make more shoes."

Passing back by the cells the mage stops and slowly turns to gaze at the cell and the occupant within. Putting a finger to his chin he spends several long moments eyeing the cells occupant and surroundings. He turns to the mummy, "Make a note. Why was this one naut informed that the cells in this place were actually capable of retaining an occupant?" A long stare at the mummy, "Never mind, just fetch a chair, and naut a broken one this time."

Standing silently, waiting patiently for the chair to be wrangled eventually into position by the undead servant, the mage finally sits and makes eye contact with the prisoner. Switching to a slightly accented common, "Now, what is thine name? And what caused you to seek these... accommodations?" As he waits for a response, "You may of course answer the questions in any order you wish."

The rugged looking man, now sprouting more beard than usual from lack of shaving would drearily respond. "I'm Bill. I heard your cells were the most accommodating in all the lands. Had to try them out myself."

//Sorry about the month-long delay. I kind of stopped looking here after five days of nothing.

If anyone would look into the holding cells of the Vanguard building, they would discover that the prisoner had disappeared without a trace...
