Is there an idol to Cyric somewhere littered about Amia? Simple yes or no would do, just curious. Seems to be one that I've never run across at all. Yes.

Most games ban Leadership outright because it's utterly abusable and way too good. A feat to more or less play an additional PC who typically is custom-built to the leader's needs (mages to buff warriors, warriors to tank for mages, etc) and a handful of followers for free services so the PC doesn't have to spend skillpoints on things like X-smithing or looking for sages. In any game with Leadership legal, it's usually one of the first feats taken by anyone with commonsense, heheh. In the NWN sense, it'd be like multiplaying 2 PCs with a horde of devoted "expert" NPCs that more or less let you pull a "Bob the X back at the castle totally is a master <JobTitle> and can help us."

Does the Still Spell feat allow spellcasters to avoid ASF from just armor, or are shields included?

Are DMs right now, RP barring obviously, accepting requests for in-module areas such as permanent houses? I've had a lot of RP waiting for one, but I'm unsure if this is an instant no-no with the rental house system even though the area I've been planning this in has every single one occupied.

From what I've heard you can't request an area made specifically for your character.

Aside from a faction base, we don't make area's for PC's I'm afraid. As you thought, the rental house system is in place for that. Sorry!

I've heard that if I set up my characters on one computer, it'll be difficult to get at them from another computer to play Amia.
If I install NWN on an external will I run into the same issues?

There's a place in the Bramble Woods near the Amian Frontier, but if your character hasn't been there yet, I'll let you explore

New question. I'm trying to track down the inventor, engineer, and alchemist trainers. I'm pretty sure at least the inventor was once located at the testing grounds before it blew up, but I've got no clue where to find the job trainers now. If someone could direct me I'd be very much appreciative. Inquiries in game have lead me no where.

I wish there was a list of trainers and where to find them. I personally think that having only one person around who can teach you how to do something and that one trainer in that one location being an IC thing to RP is fairly silly.
Alas.

Alas. Agreed, sometimes you cant get to them either due to IC issues with race or even affiliation by PC bans. xD a long time ago i gave up and just had a friend take me to one after trying for a week to find an inventor on A.

I currently have a level 7 SD and have passed the first two tests/instructor but am unable yet to speak with the third instructor. Is it at Level 10 SD where i'll be able to access the third and final instructor? Thanks!

Excuse me? But I do Game Development IRL and I understand that the development team is a little strapped for time and resources at the moment and is always looking for hands? I've never fooled around with NWN's level editor, but if you guys have a direction to point me in for getting started?

Whether or not Nwscript will be familiar to you depends entirely on the kind of language you use to develop games, honestly. I'd suggest opening up one of the Bioware campaign modules and taking a skim through their scripts to at least get a feel for how it works.

How does the Demonologist job work? The description on the Job System page is very vague with nothing more than:
"* By studying certain artifacts at the Researcher's Desk * By observing certain creatures in the field (select them with your Job Log)"
But whenever I try to analyze an enemy, it won't let me because they're hostile. And if I do it with a creature I've summoned, nothing happens.

Would making a spell version of a widget script fall under the "you can't request new scripts but you can request pre-scripted things" rule?

Right, so don't think of me as a stupid twit for asking this, but..
I'm thinking of finally making a quite developed character soon. The plan is to make a Tiefling worshiper of Cyric, who's big into his god and chaos and everything (but, this is key, not being Stupid Evil). Gasp horror and all that. But to add a little personal flare I was thinking of making a DC request for a tail to be added to the character, so as to represent his Outsider heritage.
My question is ... and it may be a stupid one... but... how in depth a request would I have to make to request a character with a tail such as this?
I did peruse the request forum and read other peoples, but most I read were for specific new races, or overall interesting concepts and unique characters (Lycans, were-spiders, half-dragons etc..). My request in comparison just seems to be aesthetic in nature (at this point anyway) for a race freely open to anybody, not one that's DM approved.
So, obviously I wouldn't make a request and state the reason for having a tail on the char as being ''cos it's awesome, LOL LOL LOL''. Obviously. But would it need to be a truly in depth and elaborate request pin pointing all aspects of the character, past and future? Or would a bare bones approach suffice if adequately touching on all important aspects?

Preferably in a decent amount of detail, though it doesn't have to be a novel or anything. Bear in mind, though - when we're approving something like this, we're not just having to stamp approval on the tail, we're also having to approve the background, history, heritage and so on too, as we can't exactly say "Yeah, your reasoning for the tail is fine so you can have it, even if your background about unicorns makes no sense."

Yep, go to a mythal forge and use a mythal on the item. On the menu there is an option for removing properties. Then pick the light to remove it. There's no gold cost and you won't loose the mythal, either.

There's a few, depending on what your char race is depends on what you can get to:
Kohlingen has one, it's in the mage toward on the right when you enter the city from the docks. Wiltun has one, it's in the first building on the right when you come in from the docks. Tarkuul has one, it's in the basement where the library is.

It's a quirk in the NWN engine; if you're close enough to someone who's invisible, you'll see them anyways. Also, it could be that your character is auto-attacking; I hate when that happens on my wizard and she drops out of hiding that way...

I would guess they mean how mobs will sometimes target you even when you are, or turn, invisible. Though the answer is the same, it's just a glitch in the NWN code. A really annoying one.

Because they have true seeing, sometimes lacking the VFX. Prime example is some of the Abyss mobs.

Nah, sometimes they just continue to attack you regardless annoyingly. It's just an annoying glitch with NWN (the times it isn't mobs with super spot/ TS)

Briefly hit stealth after an invis potion; it forces a reroll on their detection. If the mobs make their listen checks and attack you, it's not actually a glitch, but you can usually break the "target lock" effect that -is- an AI problem with a split second stealth.

Recently I was fighting Beholders and possessed my familiar to get agro for spells, and when my familiar died, my character teleported to that location and got raked. Is this a known bug? This never happened to me before.

Is this a known bug? This never happened to me before. I've had it happen before on other servers. I think it's one of those rare occurrences that no one bothered to find a fix for, because it's fairly infrequent.

Can I ask why we have some of RuneScape's icons in our miscellaneous small 2 and 3 sections?

To correct this, it's half of Miscellaneous 3 that seems to have RuneScape icons: I'm mainly saying so the DM team is aware these are icons from an MMO that's still alive (and one I still actively play).

We also have some stuff from Fable and Morrowind. I wouldn't worry about it.
