When I'm on B my speed is reduced on my Duergar. Not on any of my other characters, just the Duergar.
This started today after buffing. I've rested and changed servers since then to test. I'm 50 pounds under the weight limit. I've tried reequipping all of my gear as well.

Portal Wand
I used the portal wand on B while killing brog orcs. I dinged and wanted a safe place to take the level so I went to L'Obsul (Duergar Home). It took me to A in the middle of the yuanti-spawn, which was not even the last place I was on A. I got ganked and had to take my respawn. What the heck happened?

Wow. We knew there were some issues with the L'Obsul bind lately, but that's a new one to me. Thanks for mentioning it.

The slow move while not encumbered thing sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I can't look into it until I get home.

I remember the troubles I had once, similiar to the OP. I got it fixed by Greater Restoration.

Funny thing is that there was not a single mention in my character sheet about str. reduction (poison, curse). Nothing at all. Not even "red coloured" number representing my current str. Everything seemed fine.

Still, when I got cleased by the GR, I suddenly could move again. :?

Probably not the case, but it's worth a shot, maybe?

Looks like you tripped on one of these anti-duergar runes we threw all around our cherished dorf mines ? :D

If magic doesn't solve this, try polymorphing (with a scroll or a potion) ? This looks like you bugged your PC movement speed. A polymorth might help you?

I have gotten stuck in the slow mode a few times with no reason I could find. I fixed it by simply entering and exiting stealth mode. I assume anything that "toggles" slow mode would fix it.

As for the porting to A... the default L'obsul bind currently takes you to the entryway on A. I have no idea why you would end up in the Yaun-ti, unless "the wires just got crossed" somewhere. There is not even a bind point in that area. :/

Did you try to turn detection mode on and off again? Sometimes it sticks to on(movement speed reduction etc) after you log, even though it's off.

Went ahead and moved this since I think it was made before the bug forum was made available anyway.

Occasionally there is a cross in the Portal results. From what I understand is it happens only when two people use the portal wand at the same moment. I've noticed that I get the someone elses results in my portal wand bind point list rarely. Its happened perhaps a dozen times in 5 years.

The other issue is a one off bug and like the others already said. Toggling something with speed reduction or a restoration should have fixed it.

I am going to leave this open for a few more days so you have a chance to report back if its still an issue. After that I will close this out.

I've done this several times now on my Duergar.
When you are on B and select the default "Underdark: Duergar Home" it sends you to the very last place that character was on A, assuming A has not reset since you had last been there.
So Pigeon either logged out in Yaun-ti before going to B, or simply portaled to B from there.
Regardless, I have been able to replicate this phenomena on command if any DM needed to see it first-hand.

Phillistine is correct. I've duplicated this several times as well. That's the portal wand issue.

The issue with movement speed is every time I log into B or randomly when I rest I go into hide/detect mode. No clue why!

It used to be in the mines of L'obsul. I do not know how it was handled in the L'obsul update. It sounds like it was removed like the one in the tradehouse that effects drow the same way. With this trend you can also expect the svirfneblin to have the same issue. They also had their own default node/start location I believe before the remod.

The default duergar home is supposed to be L'Obsul next to the chain conductor. The one that's their next to the sawyer, miller, and just across from the halls of negotiation.

At least at character creation thats where I started when I selected "starting location for my race".

Svirfneblin - Underdark: L'obsul, Top (Northwest corner)

Okay, both now actually have home bind points of L'Obsul, Bottom near the crane operator. This will be in update 510g

Please check after this update and report if it worked or not.

Also added the base Drow starting point to the same area. This replaces the Harlil one.

I tested the Drow and Svirfneblin, they both work. I don't have a druegar PC but can make one if you think it's necessary.

They all start by the crane operator in Underdark: L'obsul, Bottom. Is this how we want to leave it, or should each race start in their own suburb? The only one that would need changed would be the Svirfneblin, their area is on Underdark: L'obsul, Top in the NW corner.

They could be moved, but that's where Pony intended them to be when he designed it. Sort you log on and enter the area by stepping off the elevator.
