Hi everyone,
I had a brief insight this past week into why the amiawiki had gone down, and how to fix it.
If you're a tech nut, it's because the main mediawiki site was pulling from 1.25, but all the extensions got updated to 1.26 as they were released, which broke things. Each extension, as it turns out, was checked out separately from the "master". So checking out extensions from 1.25 did the trick. Last time, the wiki broke for the opposite reason - one of the extensions got upgraded to 1.26 but the mediawiki 1.26 hadn't actually been released yet.
It shouldn't go down for version mismatch reasons again. It automatically updates itself nightly, and it gets backed up too to Amazon S3 for 6 months, which is cool.
Anyway, I think it's all fixed. And I'm sorry for the delay. Honestly, I could use a little help with it if someone knows git, php, and mysql etc. I only get to work on stuff like this when there is a slot of time with something not more pressing (and seeing as how I'm aware that people actually USE the amia wiki - it has not left my mind.... in WEEKS! But yay it's done now .... )
You can hangouts me at sha lynx 2012 which is at gmail - but let me know who you are via email first because I don't normally add people I don't know - I already have plenty of sex in my life and don't need to watch
checkmeout1991@yahoo.com get hot.
Enjoy!
Again, if it goes down, SEND ME A PM please. Nobody sent me a PM about the recent downtime - it's only up cause Xavi found me on facebook.
