In
this thread I touched upon the idea of making characters with an express purpose and perhaps short lifespan: to be a thief who gets caught and beheaded, to be the peasant who is marauded against, and so on. Basically to enrich your fellow players' roleplay without sacrificing much of your own investment.
It's time to put my money where my mouth is and rely on you, my dear companions, to aid me in a deed most foul. If the title wasn't sufficient explanation, I am looking for a sad sack who we can truss up and lay upon the altar while the dark storm clouds gather overhead, and the wind howls of
impending doooooooom!DM oversight would of course be welcomed, but a large part of my reasoning behind the 'make a mook' thread was that, in reality, we are strong, independent players who don't need no DMs.
Sometimes.Of course, any established characters who might be interested are still welcomed should their player(s) think this might be an interesting part of their story. It's just that the whole human sacrifice thing loses a bit of its magic if it's not... well, permanent. But I am still open to suggestions.
I am aiming for old school gothic melodrama with a hint of the comedic, not a re-enactment of the Saw films or some egotistical power trip, so please don't be (too) afraid of volunteering. I do accept that things may go awry should our party come across other players during the adventure, but at this early stage in my character's development I am sort of hoping things go off without the entire Isle turning up to permakill my wee chappy.
In the spirit of fair play, I would happily fill a similar role for any volunteers should the need ever arise. You scratch my back, etcetera.
Do PM me if you're interested and we can sort out dates and the like. Spirit out.
