So, after spending about an hour for fun (and it was) looking for the nexus falls rogue's shop (secret handsign), a DM told my friend that the shop does not exist anymore. Then he told us it moved into the swamp outside of Cordor. Not really feeling like another wild goose chase, I wanted to ask if this is correct or slightly outdated. If anyone thinks these discriptions are too obvious, tell me and I will change it. The first one I thought of was the one that recently moved to a place in relative anarchy. It used to be in the Delta. The only other shop I can think of is in an evil/shady bar in the evil city. Are there any other shops in or near the swamps. And for that matter, are there even other, possibly higher leveled rogue's shops on the server? Just to be clear, I am not asking where they are, just if they exist. (Though some cryptic clues are always fun^^)

There are some 'back alley' shops that do in fact exist.

The one that was in the Falls (I loved that secret location btw) was moved to the Delta but is now in a certain seedy area where those types would be.
Short of that one, the only rogue shops I know of are Shadowscape!

You can thank Voronwer and company for making that shop go bye-bye.

Voronwer was always Amia's version of Eldrad.

I was there, Voronwer got a tantrum and had the filthy humans thrown out. *nodnod*

Without being particularly spoiler-intensive (as much as I can, at any rate), I'll say Tarkuul also has a rogue shop, and an oddly neutral one at that. Oh, and the assassin trainers. To be perfectly honest though, putting a class feature trainer in ANY self-regulating city makes my skin crawl. Not just because of the possibility that a ban will immediately and unreasonably stunt your mechanical growth, but also...no, wait, it's actually just that.
I'm extremely confident that A or B has another set of trainers, but it would be like if Wizards could only unlock their best spells by getting widgets...but the trainer was in Kohlingen. That limits your potential allegiances a bit.

That limits your potential allegiances a bit. If an assassin gets banned from a city, they're not a very good assassin. After all, an assassin should be able to reach their target wherever they are. Assassins should strive to stay under the radar and keep every settlement accessible, imo. I do agree the trainers shouldn't be in any settlement though, just for the sheer fact that an assassin probably wouldn't be affiliated with any settlement. Naivatkal wrote: Tarkuul has a rogue shop?
