My idea: Ability to allow Ammo Bags to be used on self to get current equipped ammo, and replenish it without having to open inventory to restock the current ammo in use.

I like. Or maybe remove the hard cap of 99 from arrows, if that's feasible. I remember it being mentioned a year or two back.

Hijack time! This won't be popular but..
Why not remove the cost? Bare with me a moment here. A mage does not need to pay gold to cast spells, a Warrior does not need to pay gold to maintain his gear. Why should someone that uses a ranged weapon have to pay to maintain their ammo? Ideally, everyone would have these maintenance fees. I'd love to have to buy and maintain components for all my spells personally, or maybe even as set price of say 100gp X spell lvl per casting. For weapons, it should dull over time and require maintenance, armor should need the leather replaced, plates adjusted. It would all be great, to me. But adding all that is not going to happen, so the easier option is to go the other way and either greatly reduce, or remove the price associated with Ammo Bags.
It has never really seemed fair to me.

This idea was around before, I remember. That said, I think it's not that bad idea. Remember when you had to have spell components for certain spells? I do not even know why it was removed, I think it's neat. The "Ilovetopolishmyspeardaily" kit for meleers is also a spot on. I don't know if still, or even if it was on Amia ( ), but whetstone you could buy used to add keen on weapon, even though temporarily. Why then we can't make arrows in unlimited numbers, so you'd only have to pay for each type once? Aka - you buy arrows +1 and you have an endless amount of them, like if you equip a weapon with unlimited ammo on it.

Spell components for IGMS and Timestop were removed because the spells were nerfed, as far as i can tell. Ignorable gibber gabber @ Guardian.

It has never really seemed fair to me. ^ This. Try restocking Pacifier arrows some time. You're looking at this for 98: Attempting the kinder, more peaceful path is expensive.

It frightens me when someone gives me a single arrow so i can 'buy more' because you have no way of knowing how much they are going to cost for 98 of them!! After a while of using a bow as your main weapon you realise just how much you need arrows which offer more than just +4 but are that little more exotic.

When arrows are less powerful than they are, I'd consider lowing the costs. Arrows get incredible damage and effects on Amia unlike any other item.

Not up to speed on arrows anymore, really. Is the damage and effects something that could not be requested in any form of melee weapon? If they are really that far above and beyond what everyone else can do, and are only balanced by silly gold prices, should they not be put in line with other stuff so the price can be removed? Sadly i don't play an Arcane Archer, or any archer, so i don't have access to, or experience with all the arrows, and the price per. I guess the obvious answer is to just use some cheapo or unlimited arrows for PvE stuff, and save the good stuff for boss/pvp encounters.

There's nearly (not quite, but almost) an Arcane Archer arrow for every situation and every creature type. Most of those do, at the very least, 1d12 damage of some type. There are those that have even higher damage. Some of those 1d12 damage arrows and beyond have racial slaying on them. Others have status effects such as daze. The prices vary, to be honest. It would take a while to get a list of how much a stack of each type of Arcane Archer arrow costs. Off the top of my head (and I could be wrong) there aren't a lot that cost under 12,000 gold to restock for 98 unless you take a stack and mythal off the slaying or daze, whatever, and just leave the damage.

I think arrows should be just as costless as weapons are to repair. For me, I just ignore playing archers, as personally I do not find micromanaging thousands of arrows fun, much less when your average dps and survivability is less than a melee build of similar style and you have no gold because you bought arrows which serve only the purpose of keeping your damage competitive with the rest of your group.
Solo archer is also not too great, and was only extremely effective with the old hips. There's no justification for arrows to cost gold that I can see, but the last three times I made a similar topic people were happy to change nothing, so idk.

Well... then can we get this looked into? I mean... a lot was said in here!
The op just wanted a simpler way to restock ammo... but, it turned into suggestions of free arrows.... worth looking into?

Changing it to only work on the currently equipped arrows would make restocking and resupplying arrows a much bigger hassle. As it is now, it works just fine for any missile focused class. You can make multiple stacks to keep having from resupply in combat, and you can resupply stocks in your inventory that you're not currently using. Changing this to only restock currently equipped ammo would make life much harder for AA's. I used to main an AA for the better part of a year and is currently playing one so I feel I've some experience in the matter, and while it takes a little while to get used to, the magical ammo bag works excellently as is.
Currently on both of mine, I keep between 2 and 4 stacks of cheaper arrows that I use in pve and 1 for pvp confrontations that I can duplicate into 2 if need be. The ammo bag works just fine as is, and with a little management of your own arrows there's no problems that stem from the item itself. The price is fair as well given the damage output and range advantage of using ranged based weaponry and as mentioned before you can always use cheaper ammo. (Just plain damage ammo usually never costs more than around 1k per stack, which is fine. It's the status effects and on hits that cost a whole crapload.. which is also fine because it's insanely powerful. If you don't want it on your arrows, make a stack of them and mythal away the powers that aren't damage.. Now you have a much cheaper variant without the on-hit that's economical.)
Doing it this way the cost of a stack of AA 2d10 damage arrows cost about 1k, while the ones with the same damage and on hit effects can go up as high as 40k (which is fine because the effect on those are insane.) 1k for 99 shots is not expensive when you take into account the money you get from every kill, regardless of loot or not.. AND you can always use a pair with 2d6 damage or 2d8 OR 1d10 that'll cost you between 300 and 500 gold.

But they're also ridiculous. Most of us keep just the damage ones around anyway for grinding, and whip out the major ones for PvP or boss fights. No biggie.

Using the bag on equipped throwing axes triggers a weight bug. You lucky archers probably won't notice (if it's even there), but just wanted to mention it.
Also, please no complaining about the available arrows ...

What should actually happen is the bags should just be made unlimited use per day so you don't need to carry around a dozen of them, and there's n point in artifically restricting how many arrows can be made when you're still forking over the gold for it. (and you can just buy more bags if you want more arrows...)

That would be a rather welcome change, yes. They don't weigh much so that's not an issue but it's a nice quality of life improvement.

Here's the last discussion I found on it, for comparison. Six years ago, there was a resounding NO to changing the ammo bags. Even I said no, and I played an AA then. xD If the team has decided that AA's aren't too OP for this to change anymore, then I'm for it. Anything to make things easier for players! (So different from what I said back then! Haha!)

I know I am repeating myself ... a lot ... but: Throwing axes have a stack size of 50. They run out twice as often and one needs twice as many magic bags for them.
Maybe change them to 99? But I'm not sure if I actually wish for a stack that weighs 99 pounds. I guess it wouldn't be worse for me to manage one 99 stack than 2 stacks of 50 and switching more often. But other people might think differently because 200 pounds for two stacks can drag one down very easily.

I'm for changing it to unlimited/day. People either pre-load stacks of ammo with a ton of bags or during arena-rest-runs anyway, we might as well drop the pretense and inconvenience, and let them reduce their .bic a little by selling off the extra bags.

And reduce their arrow count a little. If you don't have a restock limit you can reduce how many bundles are littering your inventory. I know I have a bag and two full pages right now of arrows that I switch through!

Great ideas guys. Unlimited use/day would be amazing.
As for as changing it to only equipped. No, no no no. That wasn't my idea. My idea was to add a check so you can target yourself to replenish equipped. Wasn't talking about taking away what they are now. Just adding a check so that if it is used on your player as a target it would replenish currently equipped.
