I picked a Drow to start. The mirror gave me the impression that I would be default spawned to a place called "Ultrinnan" I think. However, I was put in a room full of banners, and expecting more info or a convo script I clicked the "Cordor" banner. Now my drow is in the middle of Cordor. I've played on servers where the PCs and/or npcs autowhoop Drow who are in unfriendly places so I thought it best to log out and ask:
Will I get my level 2 lynched as I wander around the surface?

Drow are allowed in Cordor and generally you should be fine, unless you openly declare yourself a Llothite. Elistraeens walk the surface peacefully, and you wouldn't be the first to pretend to be one for a while. Otherwise, you can log onto server B (185.29.203.11:5122) and pick the banner to Nec'perya to start in the Underdark. The surface generally has more people on it then Underdark and is usually considered an easier starting place to level (when starting from Cordor)

L'Obsul on B is where you want to go (Nec'perya for shopping later, or if you get involved with some RP...), that's the place for all Underdark races starting quests, gear etc. That said, it's worth checking out, visiting from time to time, but i guess since drow are an endangered species and now can go into Cordor (just found out myself from this thread >.<) - go there and find friends to party with. Fat chance of that happening in the Underdark.

Non-evil drow are welcome in Kohlingen. Not all drow.
So be aware you'd have to pretend there, too, if your drow is evil.
